Paschall Heating & Air

This is my second review in two years. Our furnace should probably be totally replaced, but in the meantime Paschall Heating & Air has once again offered prompt service in a time of need. Our furnace quit working on a Sunday evening. I contacted Paschall Heating & Air via their web site that night and they came out first thing on Monday morning and diagnosed the problem. The furnace is old, so the part had to be ordered and shipped, but it was replaced quickly two days later, just in time for some really cold weather. As always, it was a pleasure working with them.

Great. It turned out that the mini-split did not need a new board, it was wired incorrectly, so that was fixed immediately and the cost was very minimal. He cleaned both units and we found out that there was a piece that needed replaced on the upstairs unit, so they did that and topped of the freon. We discussed the age of the units and when they might need replaced. I ended up paying for a yearly service for the units, where they come out twice a year. During general conversation, I mentioned a leak we'd found under the bathroom sink. The serviceman then told me they can take care of that. And they did. As well as fixing a small issue with the toilet.

We received a new HVAC system. They did it for a fraction of the cost and the quality was identical to other people that I had called. I would hire them again without giving it a second thought.

After over 15 years in the same house I've found myself going through a number of local HVAC providers and, for one reason or another, becoming disappointed in them, so I reached out to Paschall Heating & Air. Joe Paschall is a pleasure to work with. He's very courteous and responsive, and he came out the next morning to take a look at our problem. What Joe found was an obviously broken part that is required before the furnace can heat up, and he was able to order the part, pick it up and return later in the day to install it. It's plenty warm outside, so we aren't yet running the furnace out of necessity, however Joe got everything back together and the furnace was working when he gave me his invoice. As I was stepping out of the house to bring him a check, I very briefly caught one slight whiff of gas. I mentioned it to Joe and we went back around to the furnace unit while it continued to run, but there was no further smell of gas. Seemed it was perhaps my imagination and there wasn't much I could other than thank Joe, pay him and let him get on with his day. However, for the rest of the afternoon I turned on the furnace a few additional times to let it run only for testing, to see if it would happen again, before we actually need the heat, and a few of those times I did smell gas when I went outside, but, again, when I would walk to the unit it would seem to be fine, but then once I did hear a change of the sound it makes, then a whiff of gas, then back to being okay. So I ended up calling Joe again and asking him if he could come check it out the next morning. Again, Joe came out as promised, and for a while I was afraid the furnace was going to work great and make me look like a liar, but it finally happened with him standing there (momentary change in sound and a whiff of gas). Joe got right to work looking for additional problems; the not so obvious ones. He found some issues he could address with some wire brush cleaning. He's also advised me that due to the age of the unit (well beyond warranty) there may be additional problems lurking, but nothing he could see definitively without seriously taking the entire unit apart, and I wasn't asking for him to do that. Again, after Joe left I let the furnace run for a while, until the house started getting too warm inside, and so far, so good. The bottom line, for now, is we've gotten off fairly easy with a fairly minor repair and some routine cleaning, but have also been fairly advised it might be our last winter with this furnace. What I appreciate best about Joe is he's been very patient and friendly with me as I ask a lot of questions. He solved our immediate problem, then also honestly advised us and prepared us, without any high pressure scare tactics, to expect we'll probably be furnace shopping in the not too distant future.

Superior job. I was concerned about having to enlarge the access opening which would have required a major rework of the entire wall. Another local company required the wall modification. Joe Paschall was well aware of my concern and assured me that if it was possible, he could do it. He also did the job for $1,000 less than two other quotes. Highly recommend!

Joe and his crew kept their word on all they promised. He worked with us on the price of a new 5-ton unit, which was a large, unexpected expense for us. They worked efficiently as a team and replaced the old unit the very next day, along with installing a new digital thermostat. Within a few hours, the new unit cooled down our extremely hot home. After being without A/C for 8 days in mid-summer's heat/humidity, we were grateful for the cool air! We would recommend Paschall Heating & Air to anyone needing repair or replacement. Jason was very knowledgable of HVAC nuances and is obviously a valuable member of Joe's team. We are satisfied new customers!

Everyone who works for Paschall Heating & Air is extremely professional. They arrived on time and worked throughout the day to get the job done. In addition to replacing the unit, they also poured a new concrete pad and installed an extra return in our bonus room to improve the efficiency of the unit. The other company was more expensive and did not include the additional work. After they finished the installation, they vacuumed the entire upstairs area where they were working. The whole experience was very good! I had to leave the house for a little while and felt extremely comfortable with them being there without me. They are very trustworthy and do excellent work! Our new air conditioner is working great!! We are very grateful for the services provided by Paschall Heating & Air.

Joe answered my call and said he would get out to the house in the afternoon. He called exactly when he said he would and provided the time he would be at my home. He looked at the units found a wiring problem and showed me the problem and explained the repair and cost. He fixed on the spot. He told me about my units (I recently purchased this home) and said they were both very dirty. I asked him if he could clean them now and he did. They were very dirty. During his final check of the units he found the upstairs unit low on Freon and asked if I wanted him to add and he was able to do it. Since I was so happy with the service and the cost I asked him to take a look at my thermostat. I knew it was original and well over 10 years old. He said he could replace it no problem. He gave me a couple options and after I choose what I wanted he explained he did not have hat model on the truck but if he could come back in the morning he would install it for me. He gave me he same promise to be back during a window of time and said he would call me when he was getting ready to come over. Again, he did exactly that. He replaced the thermostat at the exact cost he quoted. I got much more done then I was expecting for the original call but everything was repaired and services with a replacement controller. I have a new HVAC guy. Excellent service and price.

I was really worried about not being here the first time I called him(sometime in September 2015) and my dad was home alone. Dad wasn't a very friendly guy so I explained to Joe how to address my dad with an explanation of why I had called him and when I'd be here to supervise. From the first visit, he has always been friendly, calls if he's running a little late and never asks if I could wait until tomorrow if it's an emergency. He's come by as late as 7:30 pm just to keep his promise and make this customer happy. His prices have never been too high nor does he slack on his work to charge less. Always professional, friendly, great prices, and will do anything in his power to help out his customer.

We use Paschall for all of our air/heat maintenance issues. They are incredibly professional and very prompt as far as scheduling. Highly recommend using this company!

Every time I have had to call Joe he has been there in no time. 6 am or 8 pm. he has always tried to get the problem fixed to where it would no cost me a arm and a leg. I shopped around on a new unit and he was about $2600 cheaper than anyone else. and as you know yes he replaced my unit. I would refer him and use him again as long as he is in the business.

My experience with Mr. Paschall went great. He was very professional and respectful, got the job done quickly and at a wonderful price. We will continue to use him for all of our future needs.
