Description of Work: Removed a large difficult tree while preserving it's close entwined neighbor. This was a tricky job and they pulled it off nicely.

Description of Work: The storms last week took down my silver maple tree. I called Mr. Mears on Friday afternoon and left a message. He called me back that afternoon and came out the next day to assess the damage and quoted a price of $200 for the tree. I asked him about other problems, such as "volunteer" trees encroaching on my sidewalk and foundation. He explained which ones needed to come out and why, I asked him to do all of it and he quoted me another price of $600 for the remaining work. He also told me he would come Monday morning (today) to clear away the maple and take care of it but he would probably have to come back at a future time to do the remaining, non-emergency work. He also said if it rained again he would not be able to do some of the other jobs and, in that case he would return on Monday to do the entire job. He called me Sunday evening telling me that because of the rain on Saturday he would do the entire job Monday. about 8:00. His crew was on time and they did their work without fuss. They cleaned up every bit of the mess and charged me $50 less than the quoted price.

Description of Work: I contacted Mears Tree Service and requested a quote to top and trim 3 Bradford Pears in my backyard. I spoke to Charles who was both professional and quite pleasant . He was at my house, at the exact time promised, to provide a quote. The quote for trees to be topped and trimmed was for $450.00. Other tree service companies were $200.00 to $300.00 higher.

Description of Work: We hired Mears to top one very tall tree in our back yard. It was on the property line, but we agreed with our neighbors that the tree should be topped.

Description of Work: Trimed and topped several trees and cleaned up.

Description of Work: Mears had to removed a fallen tree from my yard.
