Complete Home Services Inc

The provider was extremely unprofessional. He lacked integrity, appropriate skill level and knowledge for the work, punctuality, appropriate communication, and was overall a very poor businessman. He claims that after three months of working on our deck that the job is so far delayed due to weather, but the truth of the matter is that he hired a sub who has no idea what he's doing, doesn't show up when he's supposed to or when the weather permits, and the business owner is completely out of the loop on job progress, and quality of workmanship. Three months into the project and they are less than 50% complete. The day we fired Complete Home Services was the day we received a hand-written two page note from the sub (not even the business owner himself) on our door on a Sunday explaining why we should choose to paint our ceiling rather than stain it. The truth of the matter is they are extremely behind and realizing that if they continue at this pace, the job will not be profitable for them and they are trying to cut corners. To top things off, this subcontractor he hired told me that my plant stand looked terrible and he was going to take it home and paint it for me and return it, which he has not done. Painting my plant stand was never part of the contracted services we agreed upon in the first place, so he basically stole my plant stand. Now we have to hire someone else to come in and fix the amateur work they have done thus far. When we requested a refund for services not performed at the appropriate skill level or even to our expectations, we were told by the business owner that they have already paid more in labor than we've paid (50% down), and that he is just going to cut his losses. I imagine you would have more in labor costs on any job where a guy shows up for 2 hours every third week and claims to have done anything at all. As a CPA, if I produced work of such low quality and with such little professionalism, I would be out of a job.
