Be home with they are roofing. Watch out where they place their blue tarps. They will recklessly throw them on bushes, gardens, security lights, statues. Do not pay them until the job is completely done to your satisfaction. When Armor gets their money, Armor is gone.
Description of Work: poor quality, left a mess, promises not followed up on. I made the mistake a paying them on a promise they would come right back and fix everything. Never saw them again.

I was contacted by a rep in my neighborhood and offered a free estimate after the storm in May 2012. He was very courteous and professional and offered to work with my insurance company to get me a new roof. Everything went smoothly, and in about 2 weeks, the crew was scheduled to come do the work on my house. I worked directly with Connor for the majority of the process, who was very helpful in advice regarding style and color of my new roof and accommodating when I changed my mind about the color. The date of installation was rescheduled once, which was attributed to the color change (even though I asked for the change the morning after the original decision was made). I upgraded to architectural shingles and installed a ridge vent, which I was told would cost about $500 more than what insurance would cover. The crew arrived promptly at 6:30 am on the day of the installation, and by the time I left for work at 7:00 am, the majority of my old roof had been removed. When I got home at 5:00 pm, the crew was almost finished. The cleaned up the yard and left at about 7:00 pm. I paid the original invoice as soon as it was received, thinking that the transaction was finished. Connor called me later saying that the crew had replaced some boards on my roof that he didn't know about, and that I owed about $200 more. He met me at work to pick up the check, which I appreciated. I was told at the beginning that there was a 30 year warranty on the roof, and that I would receive information about this after the roof was installed and payment was complete. I was told the warranty package would arrive by mail. After several weeks with no word, I spoke with Connor again, who assured me that the customer service department would mail it out right away. Again, a few weeks later, I still had not received the package. I emailed him again about a month ago, and I have yet to receive a reply. The finished product looks very nice, with the exception of a few dents around the chimney flashing. I was planning to use this company again to replace my gutters and possible my siding, but as they have not provided the warranty that they initially promised, I probably will not.
Description of Work: Removal of old roof and installation of architectural shingles and ridge vent.

see above Update 6/13/12: This has been a terrible repair experience. Please don't use this company.
Description of Work: We experienced roof, siding and gutter damage on March in a hail storm. The next day a representative from Armor roofing was in the neighborhood and told us how his company could repair the roof, the gutters, and the siding. After receiving the check from the insurance company we met with Armor to select the roof, gutters, and siding. The rep said that install of the roof would take place in about a week. We made arrangements to be here the day of the install. The night prior to the install they called and rescheduled. We were rescheduled no less than 6 times. The final install was scheduled for Thursday April 12, 2012 but the installation did not take place because the building permit had not been received in time. It was rescheduled for Friday April 13, 2012. The crew showed up at 8:00 AM and worked all day removing and reinstalling the roof. At 5:00 PM when I arrived home from work, the crew was about 3/4 of the way through the job when I questioned the crew supervisor about the lack of arcitectural shingles on my roof. They spent all day installing the wrong products on my roof, and they also installed the wrong ventilation system in the roof. After making several telephone calls, the head supervisor from the company, Kyle assure me that they would be back on Monday to reinstall the roof. I had him schedule it for Wednesday April 19 so we did not have to take another vacation day from work for the install. And, it rained Monday and Tuesday April 17th and 18th. They had to come out and put a tarp over the roof in the middle of the thunderstorm as we could hear the water dripping into the attic. Last night, Tuesday April 18, the head supervisor, Kyle, called to reschedule the roof install for today as his crew was held up by the rain and he needed to complete another roof before coming to our house and wanted to move it to Thursday. I told him no way was I moving the install again and that if he could not be here, then I needed a refund on my money so I can get the roof completed. He just said, "Oh." and hung up. Here I sit at 10:00 AM on Wednesday 4/19/12 with no roof being installed on my house. Update 6/13/12: As Paul Harvey used to say, "This is the rest of the story" about the roof from 4/18/12. After no return calls I finally called the owner of the company, Mr. Steve Griffin. Mr. Griffin had no idea that we had been jerked around by his company nor did he know that they had installed 3/4 of the wrong roof on my house. We got on the phone with the salesman, Brandon, who confirmed for him that they had installed the wrong roof on my house. MR. Griffin apologized for the mistake and promised to have the problem corrected. He promised that he himself was sending "the best roofing crew in Nashville" out to fix my roof. He also stated that they were going to put 12 people on my roof instead of the usual 8 so this job would be completed by 4:00 PM. About 1:00 PM a roofing crew arrived and began working. Kyle, the supervisor showed up about 1:30 PM stating that he had cleared his calendar and was putting all of his attention on my roof until the job was completed. The roofers were busy pulling off the old roof and reroofing the house with the correct roof. About 2:30 PM, Kyle was no where to be found, and the group of 12 roofers had dwindled to 4. Those 4 men crawled off my roof at 9:30 PM. We were told by Brandon when we signed the contracts in March, that we would receive all new gutters all the way around the house and all new siding all the way around the house. Following the roof diaster but prior to installation of siding and gutters, Brandon comes back asking for thousands more dollars for siding and roofing because he figured the square feet wrong and the insurance had not paid enough to have the entire house redone with gutters and siding. The major part of the siding has been replaced, but they did not change the trim and the corner pieces. They simply put the old pieces with holes in them back on the house. We are waiting for this to be fixed. Yet again I sit waiting for a gutter crew to show up, but have the feeling that I will need to make a call to Mr. Griffin again, but this time it is to get my money back from him.
