+ -1 moreI really don't understand what is going on, but I will never recommend this company.
Description of Work: I called A1 Brown on a Thursday morning first thing, about servicing my water heater which they installed 5 years ago. The lady said they were tied up and it would be Friday morning before Jeff could come by. I agreed to Friday AM. Friday morning ..... no one comes or calls. I tried multiple times to call their number but no answer. I thought maybe the phone was having issues so I sent an email. No response. Finally late that afternoon, the lady answers and hangs up. Next call I leave a message on the answer machine. It is now Monday afternoon and not one word from this company. AO Smith Water Heater company is overnighting me the new gas valve under warranty (for free) and I will have hot water tonight. By the way, the nice lady at HILLER plumbing told me how to contact the manufacturer to get the part. Thank you Hiller--- my new plumbing company.

Description of Work: I called the plumber to replace an outdoor faucet that had a leak in it from the freeze. He cut a hole in the wall on the inside to cut off the water to the pipe. He said I could not replace the faucet outside without causing a lot of damage to my exterior stone. | |I had to have a 2nd plumber come out and do what A-1 should have done--replaced the faucet with the split in it. I had to pay 2 plumbers to get 1 job done. | |Mr. Brown was very nice when I was out on the site with him but the result is I had to have 2 plumbers for 1 job.

+ -1 moreWent very well. I called at 6:15 expecting to reach an answering machine. Instead I got a pleasant young lady who took my information and told me someone would call later that day. I called back about 12:00 noon to see if I was still on the schedule and was told the plumber was on the way. Lee was there within 20 minutes or so, and he went directly to work to unclog the line, reseat the toilet and check to see that things were in working condition. He was friendly, professional and efficient. I was pleased with his work and I thought the price was fair. I have used A-1Brown on previous occasions and I have been pleased with their work. I like to see Lee show up. He knows how to do the job, he explains the problem and solutution, then he goes to work.
Description of Work: The night of July 1, I had a clog develop in one of my bathrooms which I could not unclog with a plunger, snake or drain cleaner.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well. The total cost matched the written estimate penny for penny. Lee was very professional and explained what he needed to do to fix the leak.
Description of Work: We had a leak coming from the supply line of our toilet. A-1 sent a technician (Lee) to our house during the hours I was available. He looked over the situation, gave me a written estimate, and quickly fixed the problem by putting in a new supply line with an updated shut off valve.

+ -1 moreWhen I called them, they said it would be $45 to fix the problem. So needless to say, when I got the final bill, I was very shocked. It took them all day to come out in the first place. At least the worker was friendly.
Description of Work: They replaced the pipe from the kitchen sink to the wall.
