Description of Work: Had about a 3 inch branch from a tree go through the roof and they repaired the roof is less than 1/2 hour and charged $150 which I thought was excessive considering the amount of effort involved. No complaints about the work they performed.

Description of Work: I live in a subdivision in an otherwise rural area, a bit of distance from cities where many service providers are located. So, it's not always easy to get contractors to come out for small jobs. My roof just needed repair in a small area; no leaks, just some shingle problems. I called several companies in nearby cities, but found that several phone numbers had been disconnected (indicating questionable businesses) and others did not perform small repairs. I contacted Jay & Josh Roofing, and while I was told they were busy with roofing jobs, they were willing to come out if I didn't mind waiting until such time as they could fit me in. Two weeks later I received a call asking if I was still interested. I was, and appreciated the call-back. Jay came out, inspected the area in question as well as the entire roof for potential problems. He advised that as it was not an emergency situation he could send a crew out to fix the problem area in the next few days, though other jobs and weather conditions made exact day impossible to predict. I agreed. A week or so later Jay called and asked if the crew could come by that day. They arrived an hour later and immediately got to work. Seemed able and knowledgeable. The repair was finished in about an hour and a half. The crew was cordial, professional, knowledgeable, and worked quickly and safely. The foreman even took time during cleanup to look for any stray dropped nails around the bushes in front of the house. The job seems to have been done properly, and I was relieved to have had the repair done prior to the cold weather season, when it is more difficult and dangerous to working on a roof. I will contact Jay & Josh Roofing in the future, for repairs and most likely a re-roofing job. I would recommend that anyone needing roofing work put this company on the list of contractors to contact for evaluation and estimate. Just remember that roofing work schedules are dictated by weather (hard to work with frozen shingles, or during rain) and urgency of jobs.

Description of Work: They removed a leaking flat roof, repaired damaged wood, and installed a new roof. They were nice guys and professional. We've had a lot of heavy rain since the installation and no leaks! Their price was less expensive than another quote I'd received. | |My only problem with them was scheduling. It took a long time and a couple of phone call on my part for them to come by & give me a quote. I was told they would do the job "next week" but it turned out to be three weeks later. I also was given misinformation about what time they would arrive. I was told that the first day they had to finish another job before they could start my job. They arrived before 8 AM - I was still in bed. I was told they'd be early the following day so I got up around 6:30 AM & they didn't arrive until 9:40 AM. I'm a night owl, so these timing issues were annoying. But I heard that they were very good and so I was willing to wait for them and put up with the timing problems. | |I'm not sure if they are still "Jay & Josh" but I dealt with Jay Brockwell. I would recommend them.
