Keith and his crew arrived exactly when he said they would. They removed the access stairs to the attic that had been incorrectly installed. They installed new access stairs and even insulated around the opening which had not been part of the agreed upon work. They also cleaned up after themselves. I have had a lot of repair people in the house in the last six weeks and none of them were as courteous, professional and cleaned up after themselves as Keith's crew did.

This job was on the house we bought just 1 1/2 years ago. 1/3 of our roof had been stripped and redone 2 years before we bought it due a tree falling on it. After owning the home 1 1/2 years, the older part of the roof showed numerous problems (cupping and curling), and began leaking in one area. We had several options available to us as to what to do and after several estimates from the Averys, we decided to have the older part stripped off and reshingled so the entire roof would have one layer of shingles and match in color. We also contracted to have some shingles reworked on the newer part, and 4 additional soffit vents installed for more ventilation. Keith and his crew arrived around 9 and finished the roof around 6:30 that evening. They were working against the threat of rain but didn't sacrifice quality for speed. They did an excellent job, both on the roof and the yard cleanup. The next Monday another crew installed 6 additional soffits instead of 4 at no additional charge, which goes a long way toward giving me some peace of mind that we'll get a few more years out of this roof than we would have. Keith also made a change to the front gutter, which if left as it was, could have caused water to backfeed up under the shingles. Two notes: 1) Neither Keith nor his father Wayne tried to sell us on a particular brand of shingle, as some roofing contractors will do. I requested Dow-Corning shingles as I knew that was what was used on the front part of the roof and Keith verified my color choice by bringing out samples to check against the newer part. 2) I can be quite annoying to work with as I do a great deal of research and thinking prior to any home project as I do not work and consider the house my job. I try to do every project so we will not have to deal with it again and head off any future problems. So I ask any contractors giving us a bid lots of questions to see what they know compared to what my research tells me. If I'm not happy with their knowledge level or even attitude, we won't hire them. Keith was very patient as they gave us 3 estimates at different times plus he is wonderfully generous with his knowledge. I wouldn't hesitate to use Avery and Sons again; I can rest easy with the house now and know a good job was done on the roof.

Showed up on time both for the estimate and again to start work. Did the roof in sections because of threat of rain but weather held off and finished in estimated time. Cleaned up and hauled away all the old materials and no damage to lawn/landscaping. Roof looks fine and no leaks or problems after a month and several rains.

Went very well. Attention to detail was excellent. Cleaned up after they finished.

Mr. Avery and his crew were extremely efficient and very conscious of the weather. This all happened in January and he made sure to time the repairs before the next rainfall so that the damage was not compounded. He did comprehensive work very quickly, and began the job even before receiving my check in the mail. I could not be happier with his service and will be sure to use him in the future for any handyman or general remodeling work.

Keith was always respectful and easy to reach. He arrived on Friday when I thought he wouldn't be able to come until the following Monday. I wasn't home at the time, but he and his crew set to work anyway and were halfway done before I got home. We were very pleased with his workmanship and the way he and his crew cleaned up after themselves and also that they didn't trample my landscaping plants.
