Donald Carpenter took my initial call while out of town. I was immediately impressed by his offer to swing by my home the following day as he returned from his trip to take a look at the project. He left a detailed estimate for my review during his initial visit. Once I contacted Donald the following week to accept his proposal, he had a carpernter at my home in less than a week to replace rotted window trim and siding areas in preparation for exterior painting. His painters were on site in another 48 hours and completed the job in less than 2 more days. My wife and I were particularly impressed with Donald's commitment to bring our project to completion as quickly as possible. The company takes particular pride in efficiently completing each job (as opposed to having 5 or 6 projects open at the same time). At the conclusion of the project, we were invited to make a list of any areas that we felt needed an additional touch up. Aaron Painting promptly returned to address those issues, and when my wife decided at that last moment to have another short interior hallway painted, Donald refused our offer of additional payment. I was very impressed with Aaron Painting and Construction, and I would recommend this company to any homeowner.

Aaron Painting and Construction did a great job on the exterior repairs that they did. I would use them again in the future if needed.

We were well satisfied with them. They did the carpentry work for a day or so, and then the painters took over and finished up after a few days. They replaced all of the flashing board under the roof, and some additional wood that had weakened and rotted. They replaced the support for our small back porch posts with PVC. They painted inside screened in porch and all along front porch. They painted all the house and windows and garage, including the garage doors. Painted all of the iron work and iron gates. They did an excellent job. They're well-organized. Good communication.

He is a nice guy. His price was alright. He would constantly say that he would be there and he didn’t show up. He finished the job timely. The work went over budget. His price was reasonable. He always called us back; he didn’t avoid our calls. I would not use them in the future.

He is my friend and I know him personally. However, he has done work for me and I can vouch for him personally. He is right there and makes sure that the person is doing it right. He takes pride in his work and he does extra work. It is a good company. I would most definitely use him again in the future.

This is the third time we have contracted Aaron Painting and Home Repair to do work on our home. Twice before we have had them paint our exterior with excellent results. This time the work was much more extensive as we had lots of rotten wood and 3 exterior doors that all had to be replaced and the exterior painted. Mr. Donald "Rod" Carpenter ALWAYS answers or returns phones calls promptly. He initially came by to examine and discuss the work we needed done. Mr. Carpenter listened to our concerns and was very sensitive to our budget. He offered numerous suggestions on how and what to fix and then worked up a very detailed estimate for us. Work began on the exact date that Mr. Carpenter promised. His work crew arrived every day promptly at 8:00am and left between 5:00-6:00pm. The only break the workers took was a lunch break each day--no goofing off or smoking breaks. The workers were very respectful of our property and privacy and cleaned up every day before they left. The painters even came and painted on a Saturday because they had lost a day during the week as it had rained. Our project as detailed on the estimate was completed exactly for the amount Mr. Carpenter had quoted us. We did have Mr. Carpenter do some additional work that we had not orginially discussed, so the additional cost was totally at our request. Mr. Carpenter is a man of integrity and he stands behind his work. We expect total professionalism and honesty from people we do business with, and Mr. Carpenter exemplifies both. We are very pleased with the repairs and painting that Aaron Painting has done for us. We totally trust Mr. Carpenter and he is the only person we call when we have painting or home repair work that to be done.

Overall it was an excellent experience. Mr. Carpenter was punctual and professional when he came to give the estimate. He quoted prices for painting the house with one and two coats of paint including repairing several rotted window sills. His prices were competitive. He matched the color that we selected perfectly. He and/or his crew showed up on time every day. The quality of the work was excellent. A few of our flowers were stomped on by some of his people and Mr. Carpenter payed for the flowers. It's been about eight months since the job was finished and the house still looks great.

Final result looks good. However, make sure you get a written estimate from owner. I did not get this and the final job was replacing less siding than I had verbally agreed to earlier. Thus I don't have a good argument to say anything bad about this service. Just beware of this problem with any contractor.

I hired Aaron Painting and Construction to paint the exterior of my house and to replace several decayed trim boards. The work of the carpenter and painters far exceeded my expectations. The company owner, Donald Carpenter, who provides the estimate and coordinates the work, was always courteous and prompt to respond to phone calls or voice mails. He resolved the few concerns I had throughout the project to my complete satisfaction. His 5 man painting crew is awesome. I can just open a can of paint and make more of a mess than they did in three days of painting. There are no roof splatters or ground drips to be spotted anywhere. They can freehand a cleaner cut than I can do with a mask job. They cleaned up and stored all their gear at the end of each day. They arrived promptly at 8AM and usually left around 6PM, taking only lunch with a short mid-morning and mid-afternoon break. They were very respectful of my property and landscaping, leaving it in the same condition it was when the project began. The carpenter did excellent work that blended in well with the existing woodwork. I had a very positive experience with Donald's company and would not hesitate to use him again. He, and all of his employees, are very customer service oriented. In their view, the job is not finished until you are completely satisfied.

We went with AP&C because of the positive reviews on this site and because their estimate was lower than the others we had received. We were pleased with the work the carpenters did repairing rotten wood and siding on the outside of our home, but we were very disappointed with the painting. They were supposed to scrape and spot prime the exterior and apply 2 coats of paint. We made the mistake of paying them when they were only 95% done. Donald came by to get a list of the things we still wanted done or that we wanted fixed and he asked for his check so that he could "pay his guys." We gave him a list, but we never saw him again. After the fact, we noticed a lot of problems with the paint job. They did a very poor job of scraping. The cracked, peeling texture of the old paint is still visible through the new paint all over the house. As for the painting itself, the new paint was already bubbling when the paint job was only a month old. They also left a lot of paint on the windows and actually painted all of our windows shut. In addition, they left a pretty big mess--paint can lids, sandpaper, and even loose razor blades all over our yard. Pet owners should also beware. They let our cat out and didn't say anything. We realized after they had gone for the day that he was missing and he was gone for 3 days. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not use AP&C again.

I got multiples quotes for replacing rotten wood on my home & painting & caulking. Most quotes were several thousand dollars more ( 2 quoted over $10,000 more) than Aaron Painting & most wanted 1/2 the money up front. Aaron Painting tells you at the onset, no money up front, you pay when the job is completed & when you are satisfied with everything. My experience with them could not have been any better. They were prompt, professional, on time, & very meticulous in their work. They replaced a huge amount of masonite siding that was rotten on both sides of my 1750 sq ft home, rotten wood on the front of my home, rotten window sills were replaced with vinyl, all wood on chimney was replaced, reinforced support columns in front & back of home, took out windows with broken seals & replaced them with new windows, painted & caulked my whole house. I asked them to do SEVERAL other things that they did not quote me for. They did not charge me for these things. ie. caulking my shower & tub, painted my ceilings in 2 rooms where I had water stains, repaired an area of my roof that was leaking & some areas of rotten wood that were not apparent during the initial walk through. When work was complete, I had a walk through of everything with the owner & found a few very minor things I wanted worked on further & small areas that needed work that were hard to see. Those things were all completed the next day. They make sure that EVERYTHING is done before you pay. I highly recommend Aaron Painting. They started the job quickly & completed it quickly, were very professional, use the same crews, & most importantly made me feel very comfortable having them at my home even if I was not there. They do a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. I have referred them to my friends & relatives & will definitely be using them next time I need painting or any carpentry work.

Mr. Carpenter was easy to get hold of and responded promptly to my questions. We had to wait for several days to complete the job due to rain, but he kept me informed of their schedule and was easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional, thorough job at a good price.

I contacted Donald and the original estimate was for $1750, with the understanding that if any rotten wood was found, it would be replaced on the spot at a reasonable cost. My house was washed, re-caulked, and repainted at probably the toughest time of the year to manage it, January, and it was done in a very professional, timely manner. When rotten wood was discovered, it was replaced very neatly and the cost, about $200, I consider to be very reasonable. When the job was finished Mr. Carpenter asked if there was anything else that I noticed that needed to be done before billing me. I would definitely recommend his company to another person.

He provided a reasonable estimate and we decided to go ahead with the work. He was very communicative and always let me know when he and his workers would be there. His workers were very cheerful and they cleaned up after themselves. I have already recommended them to someone else.
