Mr. Jordan did arrive promptly on appointed day and time. The job went smoothly until the paint refused to stick to the ceiling. The popcorn finish loosened and fell off causing the ceiling to have to be scraped completely clean, and repainted. After the scraping and second painting, several spots in the paint again peeled and fell off. The home owner suggested using a primer before painting again. Mr. Jordan insisited that the paint he used already contained a primer and painted the peeled spots a third time. One large area peeled again. The home owner spoke with Mr. Jordan by telephone relating the latest peeling. Perceiving no intention on Mr. Jordan's part to redo the ceiling a fourth time, the home owner inquired about a refund of part of the already paid estimate plus additional payment for extra time involved in this job. Mr. Jordan stated, quote, "There's not going to be any money moved back and forth". After further discussion, Mr. Jordon consented to redo the faulty area one more time. The night before the scheduled arrival of Mr. Jordon, the home owner scraped the peeling paint on the faulty area, applied spackle, let it dry, sanded it and applied a primer. When Mr. Jordan painted the fourth time, it stayed on and looked very nice. However, the home owner feels that if Mr. Jordan had been more open to suggestion from the home owner, the job would have been done much quicker with much less time consumed.

The job went smoothly until the ceiling paint begin to peel and fall off. The contractor tried to patch it up without success. After discussion with customer it was agreed, for an additional fee, to scrap the entire ceiling and repaint without application of the popcorn finish. This customer suggested applying a primer before painting again. The ceiling was scraped clean and repainted with a paint the contractor said contained it's own primer element. Again the paint peeled three more times. Before the arrival of the contractor for the final attempt to repair the peeling areas, this customer scraped the affected area, applied spackle to fill in, and applied Kilz primer to affected area. After contractor painted it once more, the paint held and job was finished.
Description of Work: Eat in Kitchen/dining area painted.
