 + 0 moreI am seeing a huge difference in my lawn. I could not get rid of the clovers and they got that taken care of after their first time here. Their price seems to be fair. My lawn is getting better so they seem to be doing a good job. They look ahead at future problems and let me know about them. Their knowledge is very high.

 + -1 moreI am completely satisfied with them. They come approximately 6-8 times yearly. We pay a flat rate per visit. They are punctual, professional and pleasant. They gave me their attention and answered any questions I had. My lawn looks nice. My overall experience was good. I will continue to use them.

 + -1 moreI love them and I've been with them for two years. They are always on time and anything I've had a problem with is always dealt with immediately. I've never had an issue where I've had to call them or anything of that nature. Everything is always taken care of before anything can come out of my mouth. Their customer service is great even if I have to call in. The actual lawn guy is the same person every time and I know him by name. They are a pretty great company and there's not anything they could improve upon.
Description of Work: I use Tru-Green for weed and fertilization. They last did a lime treatment so it was a little more.

 + -1 moreAfter digging a trench I found Grubs. I was told that I don't have grubs. After a couple of months I had damage due to grubs. They refused to fix the problem. The manager was unwilling to budge. All I ask for was one free treatment, but the only way I could get a treatment was to sign a 12 month contract. Lawn required extensive repair.

 + -1 moreI am left with a huge job of digging out dead sod and paying the price to re-do the entire area. We also have yellowing in other areas of our corner lot where we suspect that something in the "tank" that the manager walked around spraying on our lawn, has damaged the sod. We can only imagine, because after the confrontation with the manager (Charles), our acct was closed and not one person "in charge" (Jeremy) who promised to come and see the damage or help us (Andre) has responded. After several of our neighbors saw the damage, it was amazing but not surprising to learn that Trugreen in our neighborhood has a very poor reputation. Many of our neighbors have had and quit Trugreen for similar reasons. Their lawns were weakened and plants and flowers were damaged during the sprayings.
Description of Work: We had a brief period of using Trugreen in the early 1990's for our lawn fert/pest control and quit the service when our healthy lawn got weaker and weaker. After years of rejecting their attempts to sign us up again, (mail/phone) we were approached by a sales rep in our neighborhood (I remembered soon after that there is a no solicitation sign at the entry to our neighborhood) and because we had a small area of chinchbug damage, I agreed (weak moment for me!) to take the service again. For 22 years I've taken care of our lawn and it is manicured and a source of pride and value. We had a newly (approx 10 months prior) sodded area on the west side of our corner lot that had a very small spot of "fungus" according to the rep Andre, and the problem could easily be treated. After treatment, the loss of our sod became dramatic and I called at least twice a week for someone to look at it and help. In the meantime, we had additional scheduled sprayings for which I mailed payment right away. We were called several times during this period from a "collections-type phone bank" and told to send payment immediately for past due amounts, which was totally wrong and later corrected after I called the local office to resolve. A quality control rep visited (suggested plugs), a manager visited, (who got angry with me when I said I wanted my money back) and repeated sprayings led to more damage to our lawn. It became a very contentious situation with me asking for our money back and being told very loudly from the street to my door where I stood, that I was not going to get my money back! The manager arrived one day with another man (sod cutter) and I was told that they were going to put some sod down on the damaged area. The sod on the trailer was a very small amount considering the area of damage. I asked the manager if they would put the sod on my driveway, (which would have saved them labor) since I had bought topsoil to apply first. The manager yelled that I was, "not getting ALL this sod"!! I was stunned since the amount of sod was so small. He left when I said I'd just prefer having my money refunded to which he responded, "You're not getting your money back"!!

 + -1 moreRep was right on time, very efficient and very informative. We will definitely use rainman in the fall for our winter closing.
Description of Work: Fixed leaking backflow valve, inspected all my sprinkler heads (over 100) and replaced 2 or 3 broken ones. Also adjust spray pattern on a number of heads and walked my wife through all of the programs and showed her how to make new ones and change existing ones.

Did a quick fix of repairing break and replacing valve so that water could be turned back on in the residence and prepared for continuing freezing temps. Returned the next day and finished repair by replacing remaining affected system. This company is very professional and I will use them in the future.

 + -1 moreWe noticed some dead spots on the lawn a couple of weeks ago so he treated it. He came back today to make sure that it was alright. They are really good at Trugreen. If you call for a complaint like I did, there is no charge. If there had still been a problem when they came back, he would have done more work without charging us.

 + 0 moreI don't have any complaints about Tru-green's service, and the one time we thought they had missed some of the yard, they came back out and sprayed again for free. But the thing is, after being treated by Tru-green all spring and summer, my lawn does not look any better than it did in the first place. I admit the lawn was in sad shape when they started, but it has no more Bermuda and no fewer weeds than it did last year. We are not going to continue with them.

 + -1 moreApparently this contractor is experiencing growing pains as it took over a month for actual work to begin. He has hired a new person to help with scheduling, bookkeeping, etc. When the owner arrived to give an estimate, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained why some other estimates were higher or lower and gave me a good sense that I would be taken care of. When work did begin, his crew used high-end equipment that burrowed under the ground instead of trenching up my whole yard. There was only one trench dug so the main feed could be hooked up. You could barely tell where they had been in my flower beds. My only gripe is that it took them about 3 weeks to do the job that should have took about 3 days. The sprinkler system was mostly functional after the initial 3 days but odds and ends, like forgetting the rain sensor, delayed the overall project. They did schedule a show and tell that was very informative and they provide 2 year warranty. Also included was a free year of opening and closing the system. I plan on using them again when I have the backyard ready for a sprinkler system. Good group to work with.

Description of Work: We have a third of an acre that they fertilize. They use treatments for the weeds and basic eminence. There is an application that is put on the trees and shrubs as well. We have a yearly contract that includes seven applications for both.

 + -1 moreI will never use them again because there were patches of my lawn that were diseased and they did nothing about it. I asked them to send out a horticulturist to come out and diagnosis and treat the problem. They sent out the same person that was came for the previous visits. I was very disappointed with the company.
Description of Work: We had a lawn service contract with them. They came nine times during the year and sprayed our medium sized yard for bugs. They also sprayed fertilizing treatments.

I called them last month to plant five new plants in my lawn, which they did in a very creative manner. They gave me some new tips to maintain my lawn so it would always look beautiful. The people who had come to do the work were very courteous and took time to explain everything very slowly to me, until I understood it well.

 + -1 moreThese were weeds that had almost destroyed my lawn. To top it all, we had garden pests as unwelcome guests. These folks spread some herbicide and some fungicide to get rid of these problems. My lawn looks beautiful, with even patches all over and a lush green cover. I like the work of these guys.
