TruGreen Lawn Care - 5773

I had used them in the past but quit to do my own fertilizing and even though I have a small yard I just do not have the products they do so I went back with them.They offer a yearly package and you can either pay it all up front,which I believe is a little cheaper,or you can pay when they come out which is around 6-8 times a year.They only offer deducting the charges from your checking account or you cld probably charge it to a credit card but I would check with them.I have a small yard so the price for a larger yard is probably more. They are probably a little higher than some other companies but I knew I would get great service so i went back to them.My yard looks great and I am very happy.

They seem to do okay, but they said their service will address any weeks and fill in any dead spots, but we've always had to call them back out to look at the brown spots.

For the most part our yard looks pretty good. I like having someone else taking care of the fertilizing of the lawn. They are to fertilize the front and back yards, but it doesn't look like they did the backyard this time. I am able to pay my bills online. The last time they came they did not do as good of a job, and even showed up a week late. We are considering switching companies.

They have been very good. They control the weeds and my grass is greener.

They are a little expensive and I pay them as they do the job. They kept calling and bugging me and that's why I used them even though I didn't want to do the grass. I watered the grass like they told me and my water bill came to $500 that month. My grass is not looking better either. If I am not there they leave me the bill and let me know what they did. I would not use them again in the future.

We don't have it resolved yet, but they are very professional. I just used them about 10 years ago and my wife called them. They came back and gave us an estimate. They seemed to know, how to do the work. They haven't billed us yet. They charge per square foot area and ours was 15000 square-feet. They were good guys.

They wrote up a description of service for me and said he'd be back in a few days to begin. We agreed on the price. A few days later, no one had come out. A week later, still nothing. I finally heard from the office a few days later, saying they were going to begin application. After that, still nothing. I finally called the direct number of the salesman I had met with and he said they could no longer honor the price we had agreed on so they won't be doing my lawn. After I had used another company to service my lawn, Scott's called me back to say they could negotiate on price now.

This is the second year I have been dealing with them. They did a good job last year. I would recommend them. The company I used before was a lot more expensive.

It all went fairly good. They always give me statements of what they did. They put the signs up to let us know it was done. They are very professional.

Lawn fertilizer and weed control. Did an adequate job but always left notes for other services they wanted to sell me and always followed up with phone calls at dinner time to try to get me to buy more services. This wasn't one or two times, it was frequent. I asked not to bother me, but message didn't seem to get through - such a large company I guess. I finally talked to a really nice guy and decided to give them another chance if they wouldn't call me and during this conversation with him I was told I needed to tell the exact same thing to another person at TruGreen in order to get the calls stopped. I said "forget it". Enough with the phone calls - I just wanted my lawn done.

I needed to know when they were going to be coming out so I could leave the gate unlocked and everything so they schedule everything for me at the beginning of the year and emailed it to me ahead of time. They are really nice.

They do a good job and clean up after themselves. Their professionalism stands out, they will never come into your home if you are not in there.

They have been consistent and reliable. I have been generally satisfied with their service.

They didn't do what they committed to do. They are too expensive. They said they would overseed my yard and they didn't do it.

They provide yearly service for my lawn. The technicians are pleasant and the price is fair.This company is hassle-free and provides quality service.

I like the way they did the evaluation of my trees and shrubs. They have kept things under very good control. Their pricing is competitive.

They are very professional and will call you the day before as a reminder that they will be coming out to do yard work.

When I first moved into my house, the grass did not look very good, even though it was new sod. As it was Fall, I was hoping the upcoming Spring would help the yard to fill in and be the type of full, lush grass that is expected from new sod. However, this was not the case, as bare spots between the strips of sod were present, and weeds were starting to spout where the sod was bare, especially as the Spring approached. It was at this time that I decided to look for the help of a lawn fertilizing / lawn weed killing company. After shopping prices, I decided to go with TruGreen. I have been very happy with their service, as the grass is now full and without weeds. A small spot is still present in my yard, but this is largely due to the fact the the Summer season ended before the grass went dormant. Without the assistance of TruGreen's lawn service, I would not have the full yard of grass that is current present. I have already agreed to a second year of service, as I have been so pleased with the way my yard looks (even when the grass is dormant). On occasion, I will see the service truck or TruGreen employee in my yard, but most of the time, the service has been completed without even seeing anyone. A simple door hanger lets me know they have serviced my yard and what was applied. Overall, I have been please with the service received.

I believe they are the only company that performs this type of assistance. Don't want to pay a plumber to do manual labor.

My Tru-Green experience started in 2009, and I finally gave up on them in late-summer 2011. Tru-Green enjoys a reputation they do not deserve, with high-profile athletic fields in pristine condition, etc. My experience was terrible. They do take phone calls, they do call back, they re-apply ad nauseum, but they totally failed to deliver a quality result for me. I had their manager visit my lawn and consult, he authorized several "free" treatments to "prove" how they could perform, but things only got worse. I finally terminated their services, and the first treatment by my new service (Green King) was amazing. I'm two treatments into Green King, and I'm a very happy Customer. DO NOT BOTHER CALLING TRU-GREEN. IT WILL BE A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION.

The pests came out in numbers and my grass kept getting worse and worse.

We have had TruGreen for more than ten years (longer but not recall start year); the cumulative cost has been greater than the $3000 listed but do not have a list of the amounts we have paid over this time so, to be fair, I low-balled it. There has not been a year in which our lawn has improved to any visibly significant degree but, at least, it seemed adequate for our neighborhood. However, this past two years, the lawn has been rapidly deteriorating. We now seem to have more weeds than grass. The impression, by their results, is that TruGreen must be sowing weed seeds rather than beneficial lawn treatments. Last year, I complained to a person who identified himself as a supervisor and provided him with a detailed verbal complaint--he said he would "get back within a few weeks and fix this problem." Never saw or heard from him again (he said he was a supervisor but "covering" for a worker who could not be there that day). Since then, things have continued to deteriorate--have been extremely patient and, in retrospect foolishly so, trusting that things would improve. They have rapidly deteriorated further this year -- our lawn is the worst in our immediate neighborhood, at the very least embarrassing . Would, therefore, not recommend TruGreen " lawn or shrub service to anyone, absolutely positively, at least in our geographic area.

I had a zone that would not turn off. The tech arrived on time and found the issue to be a loose part in the valve box. We tested it a few times after he tightened it and all was right again. I was happy (and relieved) to pay a service call fee only. I think this says a lot about trusting this company and I will not hesitate to use them for any issues in the future.
