 + 4 moreTerrible. The project was supposed to take 3-4 months. Tate could not keep subcontractors on the job. We had 3 painters, 2 carpenters, 3 plumbers, and 4 tile people. We failed 5 inspections. There were many problems with the construction - 3 crooked walls, entire bathroom plumbed in cold water, fixtures not installed correctly. The rework on the walls cost us 50% more in tile. There was always an excuse and we were '2 weeks' from being done for about 6 months. At the 10 month mark, we gave up and told Tate we no longer needed his help. We completed the project ourselves with a few real professionals. I always found Ken Tate to be personable. He did have a temper, which may have contributed to the turn-over with subs. The problem was - what he said and what actually happened NEVER matched
Description of Work: Brick entire house. Add on 220 square feet for new master bath, including all slab, plumbing, electrical and finish work. Remove fixtures from former bath and cap off, remove certain walls in former bath.
