Superior Roofing of Memphis

The provider repaired my roof a few months back and stated he warrantied his work. Later the roof again leaked in the same general area. My wife asked him about the warranty after his latest repair and his demeanor changed and said he should be compensated for his time. She ask what she owed him to which he responded "what is it worth" to make a long story short he finally said 400.00. She paid him via check and he informed us to Not call him back as we were to far away to return. ?? 600.00 for the first repair followed by 400.00. The gutter job was done weeks later and the leak started after the installation. (The very next rain) We had gutters installed above the dormer where the original leak was. Our house had been painted between the roof repair and the gutters. The roofer blamed the painter but we had rain after the paint with no leak. I don't know for certain as leaks can be hard to track down but I feel the gutter installer probably caused the failure. Either way don't trust the promise of warrantied work as while the work maybe warrantied his "time" is not. The thing that disturbs me most is that he made my wife feel very uncomfortable. He seemed like a very nice man when this all began. I'd recommend that you avoid this man.

I was told the work was warrantied. They repaired a leak in my roof. Perfect. Weeks later they returned to install gutters. In the mean time I had my house painted by another painter. After the gutters were installed my roof again leaked in the same area. The roofer blamed the painter but the roof didn't leak after the paint job but immediately after the gutter install. She said his demeanor changed immediately and said his time was worth something. She them ask what she owed him. He responded whats it worth? She ask again and to make a long story short he was paid an additional 400.00. So I guess his work is warrantied but his time is not. He then responded to not call him back again as we were to far away for him to come back. ?? What really concerns me is that he made my wife feel very uncomfortable. He seemed in the beginning to be a very nice man. Oh yes, I provided the shingles on the first job which he took with him when they left so now I have no spares or roofing label to match with in the future. Run don't walk away!!

Punctuality was lacking, but work was excellent.

My husband called and set up an appointment between 8 and 9am for an estimate on repairing our roof. They sent him an email confirming the appointment. The morning of the appointment he stayed home from work to meet with the owner and supervisor. They never showed. After 9 my husband called their office and got a girl's cell that works for Superior. She told him she was not in the office and didn't have a schedule with her.....nor any of the cell numbers of the workers. She said she would call us back soon which never happened.

Showed up around 6am finished around 1 pm the same day. Had to make a few trips to get the vents right and attic insulation. (alot of it was just owner and I being picky he did not like the way the first vents turned out so he came out and made them right at no additional cost to me) Very happy with my new house and new roof.

Very well. Robin was very professional and responsive. Very good price compared to other companies. Good installation.

Excellent job fixing all. Have had leak in dormers repaired numerous times, and no one ever did it properly till now. Replaced old steel gutters with new larger aluminum downspouts and gutters. Looks so much better, and the rain off the house is distributed quickly and no overflo. New screens to keep out leaves are economical and work well- and can not see them. The front office is very helpful, all employees very good for all the repairs. Feel very confident the jobs were done well and priced well. Will always call Superior for anything they can do at my house.

We needed a new roof and we were unsure if we wanted a tear off and new roof or just another layer over our old roof. Roger came out and did measurements and explained the way Superior Roofing would perform the work. Roger and Sanford (owner) came back out with a detailed estimate and more explanations. They gave us estimates on both tear off with a totally new roof or just another layer on the roof we already had. While obviously just another layer would have been less expense we decided to go with a tear off and completely new roof. We had gotten estimates from three companies and decided to go with Superior Roofing for several reasons: 1. Their products seemed to be superior; 2. Roger was impressive and easy to work with; 3. the owner took the time to come out and explain the estimate with Roger. When they came to start the tear off they went into our attic and covered everything up there to avoid the dirt, etc. that was going to fall into the attic. (From other reviews I've read this apparently is a big deal and most rely on the home owner to take care of covering things and cleaning up afterward.) They showed up when they said they would, completed the work as described and cleaned up afterwards. There were a couple of minor issues that needed to be addressed after completion of our new roof (i.e. leaf guards replaced on the gutters, etc.) and Superior Roofing was quick to come back out and respond to what needed to be done. Overall a good experience.

Project was executed very quickly and professionally. The estimate / proposal / contract process was convenient and well-managed by the firm's owner, delivery of materials to the site occurred as scheduled, and the work crew showed up on time. They were courteous and cooperative in assuring that our driveway access was not unduly constrained. The work was scheduled with good "weather awareness" and was completed in the time promised. The firm owner maintained good project oversight, and assured our complete satisfaction when his work crew finished the job.

I called them after an issue with another roofer. I realized that I needed to replace the roof and I called around to get pricing. I talked to Roger, he was amazing. He showed up early and called me before to ensure it was okay. When he got here, he had his credentials out ready for my approval and was ready to get to work. He was very professional. He helped me with the insurance company. My roof ended up costing me nothing to have my entire roof replaced, because Roger worked with the insurance company. He really made it happen! Thank you Roger. When the job was completed, the owner came to me to ensure everything was top notch. I recommend them very highly. Roger gets an A++ from me! They even cleaned my attic out cleaner than it was before.

The estimate was done on time and was comparable to other estimates I had received. I went with Superior because I felt the materials they were using were superior to those of the competitors. The work was done in one day and the clean up was excellent. I would use them again.

The quality of the workmanship was excellent. They cleaned up after themselves and did a neat job. They weren't the cheapest but the quality and the whole service was quite excellent.

We were having a small leak. The problem was due to something very simple and rather than charge us $$$ for a repair, Sanford explained to us an easy fix we could do ourselves. He could have easily done the work and charged us a couple hundred bucks for it or more, but he knew we are not ready to replace the roof, and it was such a little fix he told us how we could maintain it well enough on our own until we are ready to replace the entire roof. I appreciated his honesty and integrity, and he's obviously going to be our first choice for a new roof when the time comes.

Superior no-showed/no-called the week they said they would be out to inspect and provide a quote. Subsequent calls and messages to Superior went unanswered.

Mr. Sanford Shefsky, owner of Superior Roofing, made several site visits during the course of the work to assure our complete satisfaction.

They were pretty efficient, real quick and not too expensive. They answered my questions and they were done within one day. They were amenable. They assessed it one day then came the next day for the repair, there wasn't a lot of work to it but they got it out of the way as quick as possible. There was absolutely not evidence of them being around other than the proof being repaired, they were tidy and that's always a plus. The price was reasonable and they were user friendly. This is generally what I like to see in customer service. I would call them up if I have further damage in the future.

Sanford gave us a clear estimate of what he would do and how much it would cost, and got it done by the deadline imposed by our appraiser. It looks fine, and we will give him first crack at replacing the whole roof in a few years. Very happy with their work.

They came here in a timely manner but they never contacted me again to see if I had any question or so. Frankly speaking this is the only company I had contacted actually came up to talk to me rather than emailing me.
