About us

Founded in 1991 as Crawford-Smith Construction, Inc., the original focus of the company was residential insurance repairs and restoration in the Memphis market. Dale Sharp joined the firm in 1994 as manager of the newly opened Nashville office. In 1997, the company made a concerted effort to leave the residential market and perform only commercial projects. Sharp was made a partner in 1998 and the firm name changed to Crawford, Smith and Sharp, LLC to reflect his addition to the ownership. Over the next decade the business grew in size, capability and areas of coverage. In 2009, Sharp bought the business entirely and made Dave Robbins a partner forming Sharp & Robbins Construction, LLC. Robbins had been a project manager with the firm for (5) years in advance of this transition, and is a life-long veteran in the restoration industry. Chris Popwell was added to the ownership in 2015 and the name was again amended to its current version to reflect the addition. Popwell, a structural engineering graduate has been a part of the team since 2008. They were easy to reach and easy to work with. David Jones was pleasant and I was able to reach him by email whenever I had a question. . The foreman of my job could be reached by phone whenever I needed him. Every subcontractor they brought into my home was courteous and helpful. They showed respect for my home and gave consideration to the fact that I had to live there while all of this was going on. I was very pleased with most of the work done. I have heard many stories about the nightmare of remodeling. This was definitely NOT the case with Sharp & Robbins. Dave Jones gave me a itemized list of the cost involved. The hardest part was knowing where we stood with cost. This was mainly due to the fact that needs changed as we got into a job. All in all I think the cost was reasonable.
Description of Work: We had a variety of items addressed from closing up a vent access in the concrete of our kitchen floor to painting and repair of cracks. New countertops were installed, new flooring was installed, new cooktop and venting system was installed and a variety of other odd jobs were done.

They were very professional. They also recommended a great plumber to us. We were happy with the services they provided.
Description of Work: They did a moisture check on the inside and outside. They located the moisture on the outside of our home for us. They also did a thermal imaging looking for any more moisture.
