Some of the aluminum trim around my garage door had been damaged during another project so that contractor called in the Sandoval company to make repairs (on their dime). As long as they were going to be set up for that, I asked Mr Sandoval to take care of several other trouble spots left over from a fallen tree limb and a too-vigorous grass trimmer (I hadn't known that a Black and Decker Grass Hog could punch right through vinyl siding), for which I would pay. His workers arrived on Friday afternoon, somewhat later than scheduled, took off the damaged trim all around, replaced some rotted-out wood, replaced the punched-through vinyl strake with a wood panel covered with aluminum to match the color of the vinyl, and put up new trim all around. All that took longer than the good daylight lasted on Friday, so they were back early Saturday morning to finish up. The new material looks so much better than it had that now I'm going to have to get up on a ladder to clean up the rest of the vinyl siding.
