They were great. Always on-time and professional. We are more than pleased with the work completed and continue to use them. We almost didn't want to write a review as we want to keep them to ourselves as it is so hard to find good people in Memphis! Highly recommend them.

Set an appointment with Matt for an estimate on repairs at a house I own in Memphis. Set the appointment on a monday for that wednesday at 4:30. He asked me to text him my address and I said I would call him wednesday prior to the appointment to confirm. I called him on wednesday ,he said he was just leaving another customer's place , but that I had forgotten to text him my address . I said no problem, I would give it to him then. He then hesitated and then said he wouldn't make it before I even gave my address to him ,despite his knowing in which general neighborhood he needed to be, as per our conversation monday. Did not give me a reason . When I asked , he mumbled something about just leaving a customer's place . I think he just didn't feel like doing the work. My time is valuable and I am very busy .In fact, I flew in from out of state to take care of business on this house . I try not to waste my time or other's time and do what I say I will ..general grown up professional respectful stuff . Then he says he could come out the next day at 4. I thought that not having my address texted to him as opposed to just giving it to him then was not a valid reason to cancel . As I've said ,he knew my general neighborhood from our conversation monday and understood where he would need to be and when regardless. Gave it another chance anyway ,changed the appointment to the next day at 4. Texted the address as soon as we hung up confirming date/time as discussed. He never showed up ,never responded to my texts or answered the phone . His name is Matt .He is unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful .A complete waste of a week of my time trying to set up an estimate. It gives me a pretty good idea about the issues I would have had if I had hired them and this is a very lengthy expensive project . I would never recommend a company with this kind of service,or lack of it.

Matt was great to work with and did a great job. I especially like the fact that Matt self performs all of the work with the assistance of a helper - he did not subcontract any work to others or work with a large crew. His pricing was fair and he finished the project in the time frame that he gave at the beginning. I recommend him highly.

Matt was amazing...so precise and so reliable. The job entailed much more than he originally quoted but he stayed with his original quote. We were so pleased with the job we knew we needed to do more for he and his coworker!

I am very happy with Matt’s work. He did a complete renovation and tub removal of a 50 year old bathroom. He converted the tub into a walk in shower. He was very helpful with suggestions and materials and went out of his way to provide guidance and help with picking out materials for the project. The bathroom turned out absolutely beautiful. We will defiantly call Matt again for any home improvements projects in the future. I have recommended Matt to several of my friends!

The work was great! They did an excellent job. The bathroom had to be completely redone and everything torn out. The project included painting, tile work, plumbing and redoing the ceiling. Also, a new shower ceiling was placed with a fan and light fixture. The tile work was beautiful. The bathroom looks great and we love it! You can tell that they really takes pride in their work and do a great job. They were very professional and helpful when I had questions and needed advice on a few things during the renovation. The work was done on time and though a few extra things needed to be done (I added painting the walls at the last minute) they completed the on time. I would recommend S & M to all my friends and family! I will use them again with my next home project.

Mr. Page did a great job! He was upfront, timely, finished just when he said he would, and the price was exactly as stated. I was pleased with the work.

Matt worked to the agreed time lines and finished the job on time

My experience with S&M Customs was great! Matt and Melissa showed up exactly when Matt said they would to begin the job. It was a slow process for all the work to be completed but only because they work with care and attention to detail. They take pride in their work and want to assure it is done right. I wouldn't want it any other way. Matt gave us a one year warranty on the work. I would definitely hire them again.

The work that was done at a different location was satisfactory.

Matt has a talent for creating beautiful bathrooms. However, developing a bathroom that will not cause you major problems in the very near future is his huge down fall. Pros: 1. Price 2. Very responsive 3. Beautiful tile design Cons: 1. A one month project turned into three months and counting 2. Poor functional design (shower door would have hit the toilet when opened) 3. Unprofessional (when he disagreed with you, it showed) 4. Tried to increase the price of the job 5. Not as productive on finishing the job after he received the majority of the payment 6. Plumbing done TOTALLY WRONG. When water flowed down the drain, you would hear gurgling noises. When the toilet was flushed, you would also hear noises. It is costing me an enormous amount of money to get all of these plumbing issues fixed. He initially told me that the noises were normal. I had to get another opinion. 7. Doesn't accept responsibility for his mistakes. Not even an apology. I have included pictures of the plumbing, but I am not sure if it shows the many errors that were committed. I thought I did my homework by going with a company that had an A rating on Angie's List. Boy was I wrong. Be careful.

The replacement looks great. Matt did the full job and I would hire again.

We called Matt to get an estimate on replacing two doors and framing for a garage door for installation. He came out the next day to give us a quote and was able to fit us into his schedule within 2 days to get the job done quickly. Matt and James came out to do the work and did a great job. They paid attention to the details and were able to get the job done on schedule. Pricing was extremely fair. I would hire S&M Customs again.

The work was meticulous. They were able to refurbish the wooden vents without a major overhaul and they didn't try to persuade me to do unnecessary work. The painting was neat and skillful.

Matt and the S & M Customs team did a great job on our kitchen remodel. We did not really know where to start and Matt shared some great suggestions on how to turn our dark, dated kitchen into a bright, modern beauty. He executed everything within budget and without fail. He pushed late into the night on a holiday weekend so that our renovation would be done quickly. We could not be more satisfied and have already recommended S & M Customs to our friends.

Very professional. Wanted work done quickly during busy season in order to list a house on the market and he did his best to fit me into the schedule and make me feel like my job was important to him. I am having him do work on my boyfriends house too.
