It went well. Overall we were pleased. They were professional and did what they said they would do. We would consider using them again in the future.
Description of Work: Our pipes froze and burst while we were on vacation. We came home to flooding and ceiling damage. RCI put our house back together with new ceilings, drywall, and carpet just to name a few. They worked with insurance company, were very knowledgeable and we are pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Water mitigation. Awful service! The only time that they showed up when they were supposed to was when they came to initially view the water damage. Once they began the work, it was like pulling teeth to get them to finish the job. It took them 3 weeks to do the job. They originally told me that it would take only a week. Mold grew up the walls 12 - 15 inches during that time. In addition, they broke a ceiling fan and did not fix it. I was initially interested in them doing the restoration. However, after such poor service, I decided to go with a different company. I'm so glad I did!

I picked this company because they were the cheapest. William Henry (the owner) showed up. He was very friendly and charming and promised me that he could do all the work for the price quoted. He gave me virtually no paperwork so i had to write my own contract and have him sign it (thank God i did). He just kept asking for random amounts of money without any invoices or completed work. I started to get nervous that I had paid too much, too quickly and sure enough, the work stopped happening. I would go weeks and weeks without hearing from him despite my frequent messages. He kept promising to complete the work. Every few weeks/ months he would do a tiny little bit just to keep me quiet. The project drug on for over a year and the majority of the work was terrible. When I complained he said "well, that's what you get for cheap labor" . The brand new hardwood floors were cupping, had deep scratches from improper sanding and the stain and finish was patchy, bubbly and awful. The brand new roof was leaking. The new kitchen doors were falling off the hinges. The new siding was falling off. Eventually, he just stopped working. It cost me $15,000 to finish the job after already paying him his contract in full (stupid, I know). There was electrical, plumbing, drainage correction, roof repair, floor repair, kitchen door replacement, trim and paint all still to be finished. In addition to that, I had offered during the course of the work to help with tiling work and with bathroom vanity purchases (another $4,000 value or so). A simple investment property had become an absolute financial and mental nightmare because Bill over promised and could not nearly deliver. I should have trusted my gut instinct but Bill was so likable and convincing. He gave me an elaborate story about making a tv show and getting building materials donated. A red flag went up right then and there but RCI had an A+ rating with the BBB, so I took a risk and trusted him. To top it all off, he tried to sue me afterwards for $50,000 with absolutely no basis! Cost me another $2,200 in legal fees!! Of course the case was dropped because I had receipts for everything I paid and a copy of the contract and he had nothing. But what a nightmare!!!! Stay far far away from this company!!!! I forgot to mention: Just after the work began, Bill gave me the address for another complete renovation RCI was working on. I stopped by to see the house and had a chat with the owners. In usual form, Bill was a no show! Anyway, the owners were very displeased with the service and quality of the work as well. They had nothing good to say. By this time it was too late because my job had already started so I just prayed that it would go smoothly..It certainly did not!!
