I was referred to Noland by a former client, who owns and HVAC company and uses Noland on a regular basis. I called at 7:15 am and left a voice mail. My call was returned approx. 30 minutes later and I scheduled an appointment for later that afternoon. Gabriel, the technician, arrived at approximately 12:45 and he was finished by 2:45. I have no real complaints about the quality of their work or the friendliness of their staff, but the pricing was outrageous for 2 hours of work and no more than about $25 of materials. I actually do not know what I was billed for because they did not give me an invoice or a work order. He said they would mail me a copy from the office. That also did not sit well with me. I will not use them in the future. I should have waited for my usual electrician, but he was booked. ****An update to my previous report*** My husband had to call and request a copy of the invoice they had previously said they would mail. He had to request it two times because the first invoice they sent was not itemized. As I had suspected based on the price, I was over-billed for this job. The tech was here for 2 hours, but I was billed for 3. Also, I was charged $64 for the materials when I had provided most. They used at most 20 feet of Romex and a breaker which would be about a 100% markup on the materials. I know this because I have been a cost accountant in the construction industry for 20 years. Don't use these folks- they seem nice, but they are not honest people.
Description of Work: I had a 220 outlet installed in my carport.

They were flexible and worked well with the other subs, requiring several trips to our home throughout the renovation process. The owner was very knowledgable and professional, as was the technician. Both of them made recommendations that helped the entire process along and give me a better end result. These guys aren't cheap and I know they charged the contractor more than the initial quote. They use good quality lighting/wiring products. The technician was just super. He was generally the first to arrive and didn't piddle around or waste time. Cleaned up his work areas.
Description of Work: Worked in my home (a kitchen remodel) as a sub-contractractor, earlier this year. New 220v & 110v wiring for new kitchen appliances and lighting. Installed canned lights, pendant lights, and new switches where needed. Changed some wiring to the fuse box to accommodate new wiring. Replaced old plugs and switches. Installed ceiling fan w/light.

Justin and James (I think his name was James) came early both days and worked ALL DAY LONG! They replaced my fuse boxes (one in kitchen and the outside boxes with a brand new switch box. During the process they had to cut my vinyl siding to replace everything and when they finished with my switch box they went to the company that did my siding (Memphis Weatherproof) and got a piece of siding to replace what they had damaged putting in my switch box. They put that up and did a fine job of it, I might add, and then they caulked it back the way it was. Whenever I had any questions, they were answered. They cleaned up after themselves and left my backyard in the same condition as when they started. I was very pleased with the outcome of the job. Both men were very professional and very friendly. I believe I got exactly what I paid for. James even looked at a switch in my house that was bad and replaced it for me. (I hope I am using the right name). The quote I was given was exactly what I was charged plus a little more for the switch that was replaced. I am one hundred percent happy with the job that Noland Electric did on my house. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a fair price, professional job, and dependable workmen. I find it refreshing to find a company that is honest, stands behind its work, and whose representatives do their jobs in a professional manner. I will be using Noland Electric as my electricians from here on out. Thank you all for a fine experience.
Description of Work: I had central heat and air put in my home and had to have it wired for that. I also had to have a switch box put in my home because nothing was up to Code.
