Mr. Rooter's Plumbing

I called for appointment and was given a 8-12 window the next day- 2 days before Thanksgiving and company arriving. At 11:30 AM no show yet so we called and were informed it would be the next day 8-12 before they could get there. They called 25 minutes ahead. Tech came in and inspected the hose [less than 10 minutes]. He left for 2 hours to do other jobs and returned after 2 hours to replace the hose. That took only 5 minutes to do. We received an unitemized bill for $262 dollars as one item. No replacement item cost, no hourly cost, just one number for a total of 15 minutes being in the house. After work was completed, we ask to see the old part. We were told it was in the truck but he had not gone back to his truck after he came in and replaced the hose. We never saw the part. We think he charged us for the 2 hours he was gone to do other jobs. This business was in the top 4 presented to us on first search for a plumber. Today as I write this I cannot find this plumber within the 5 pages of the searchable plumbers. Never hire this company without getting a quote- hourly rate, pricing for replacement part, or if you need a predictable time for their arrival. In short- NEVER hire this company for any plumbing problems. This has disgusted me with Angie's List as a reliable reference for home repairs. Thank you.
