Response from Michael's Tree & Loader Service
We have left a message with the customer to resolve the issue, and at this time have not spoken with the customer. This job was estimated on 5/19/15 and was scheduled for work on 7/24/14. The work was not complete so we had to return on 7/30/14. The stump was ground 8/1/14. The job from start to finish took one and a half days on site and was started on 7/24/14 at 11:41 AM and completed 7/30/14 at 12:02 PM. The tree work took us 7 days to complete and the stump was finished the following day. Michael's Tree removed 100% of the debris, the debris generated on 7/24/14 was picked up by our knuckleboom truck at 1:12 pm on 7/25/14. The debris generated on 7/30/14 was picked up at the completion of the job as we had a hauling truck on site. We have GPS tracking on all of our equipment and show logs of debris removed from this job site. It did take until 7/25/14 to remove the debris from 7/24/14. This occurred because the tree crew worked after hours (until 5:08) on the job and our debris haulers were gone for the day. As far as the damage, Brian Pike the director of tree crew operations pointed out damage to both a concrete pad and stepping stones in the back yard, and [member name removed] explained that their back yard was having more work done to it and the items damaged were not going to be in the final design in the back yard. [member name removed] told us not to worry about the damage. As far as refusing to honor the Angies list discount, all three employees in the office are unaware of this completely. We did invoice [member name removed] the full price of his estimate, as no coupons are listed on the estimate. It is not uncommon for customers to call after we have not notated a coupon they have, or they may remit payment net the price of a coupon with an attached coupon. The office did not know to apply the coupon to the invoice. Had anyone called or emailed it would have been immediately applied, with no problem, we do this every day. Customer service is vital to our business, we would never deny a coupon to a customer.
