 + -1 moreAs always, a great experience with Mike. Since we had had this same issue a year or so ago and Mike had corrected it, I (wrongly) assumed the problem had recurred after months of trouble free operation. We were able to schedule an appointment for the same day we contacted him through the online booking service - a great convenience. A reminder was sent an hour prior to the appointment and Mike arrived very punctually at the scheduled time. I was embarrassed to learn within 30 seconds of Mike's arrival that the problem was dead batteries in the wireless keyboard. I had not thought to start with this obvious solution since we had had the earlier problem with keystroke input. Mike said that his next appointment was in the area and very kindly waived his usual fee and accepted only a token amount for gas. And - he did not make me feel more foolish than I already did. He certainly is not only very knowledgeable and skilled, but an exceptionally nice person and has our highest recommendation.
Description of Work: There was no input from keystrokes.

 + -1 moreCannot enough good things about Mike. He knew what he was doing. He was willing to provide me with information that would have allowed me to perform the procedure myself. This is often not the case with technical people as they sometimes enjoy being the "source of all knowledge." Everything is back in order and done perfectly.

 + -1 moreMike is knowledgeable, skilled, professional and punctual - and a super nice guy. We have referred several friends who have been equally pleased. He is our go-to guy for any and all computer problems we may encounter in the future.
Description of Work: This was our third service call within two years from Mike Oyler, Memphis PC Guy. As always, his response to our initial inquiry was very prompt. We were able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. We received two email confirmations prior to our appointment and Mike arrived at the appointed time, as has been our experience with him in the past. We had been having a problem with our printer not printing and had tried all we knew to do to resolve the problem. As on previous visits, Mike quickly identified the problem and corrected it. This time it was simply a matter of the printer cartridge not being inserted fully into the carrier. It took Mike less than a minute to have us up and running. Except for our embarrassment, we were delighted to have things so quickly resolved. He waived his usual fee (which we would have been happy to pay since he had made the trip to our home and had corrected our problem), suggesting only a small amount to reimburse him for gas. We did not feel that this was fair to him, and agreed on $20, half the hourly minimum. Exceptional! Our two previous visits were for legitimate problems, and both times Mike corrected the issues in a very knowledgeable and skilled manner, at a very reasonable charge.

 + -1 moreWe had an excellent experience with him. He corrected the problem that we were having in less than the time that we had booked with him. I had booked a two hour appointment for $75, and he identified the problem in just a few minutes and only charged for a minimum visit, instead of the full time frame that we had booked. He's very efficient and thorough. We haven't had any trouble since. If we did, I'd definitely call him again. I've recommended him to other people.

 + -1 moreWe corresponded through e-mail twice. With his guidance, I was able to find the problem and fix the computer myself. I didn't pay him anything, but, if I needed computer repair, he would be first on my list to contact.
Description of Work: a laptop computer in our house was knocked over. The computer would start, but windows would not. The computer was essentially useless. I contacted him through Angie's list and he replied, giving me some direction to go.

Description of Work: Mike is great. I was suffering with the Blue Screen of Death and had tried everything I knew but to no avail. I emailed Mike and told him of my problem. Instead of letting me continue to suffer, he gave me some more processes to do. (He was too busy and couldn't get here last week.) Anyway, what he told me I tried, and I haven't had the BSOD since!! Thank you, Mike.

 + -1 moreIt was a pleasant experience with him. He was able to come out within a few days. He showed up on time, and was really knowledgeable and efficient. He sat down and went to work, gave us advice on what programs we should have on there, and what we should delete to make it run faster. He charges $25 an hour, and the job actually took a little over an hour but he still charged only $25.
Description of Work: I used Memphis PC Guy to fix my computer. Our computer was running slow and he just did a general maintenance check on it. We wanted him to locate what was eating up all the memory and clean it out, and tell us what we needed as far as security software was concerned.
