I bought a 4 camera system with a 4 channel HD DVR from Mautz in November, 2013, and paid them for wired installation and connection to my existing TV. I was sent a request back then to write a review, but declined because I had not had the system long enough to know what to say. Today, I’m taking a moment to write a review. The equipment has worked fine all these months with no problems, except for the following month, December, 2013. The image for one camera started to jump, and Maultz had to replace the DVR, which was covered by the guarantee. But Maultz agreed to extend the guarantee to make up for the few days I was without the system. Otherwise, there have been no more problems during almost 2 ½ years. The pictures are very clear both day and night, and it runs constantly 24-7. Also, the technical assistance has been great. I’m not tech savvy, and I’ve called four or five times over the years. They patiently walk me through instructions for things like saving a segment to a flash drive. Everyone is professional and polite. So now I feel safe in recommending them.

The monitoring and everything is consistent and the equipment has held up. I started with them at least 15 years ago. I pay $25 a month. I don't like their billing. I get a call if the alarm goes off. Overall, Mautz Security is a good company. They will call whoever I ask them to call. If I am not here the police will come out. Overall I don't think you are going to get better.

They were on time, very courteous and respective. They cleaned up after the job was completed and showed me how the system worked. I also had new windows put in around a month later, and they came out, disconnected the system and returned once the windows were installed and re-installed the system for a very small fee. I would highly recommend them.

The security system install went well. I needed it for a rental property. After install there were a few false alarms here and there and certain doors not closing properly according to the tenant (sensors interfered with them) so they wanted the service shut off as it was more of a nuisance for them to have it. There were still six months still left prepaid at the time. I had sent in three cancellations to the company via fax and believed it went through because I stopped receiving calls from the monitoring company. It comes to find out a get a call from a customer service representative informing me their monitoring services were still effective, and they never received any of the three prior attempts to finalize the cancellation. Somehow in someway our communications on both ends were crossed. As I spoke with customer service, I relayed to them I had been frequently traveling in and out of the states and I was never told from my workers I received any notices who were checking messages and emails for me in my absence. I believe if they had sent any invoices or notices to the service address, they should have known better. I let the company know prior to work being done that I was not residing or even living in the state and that I had a different mailing address from the billing address. I reiterated to the representative that it was strange they did not receive any of my cancellation notices (I sent out at least 3 on separate occasions) and I did not get any emails or any voicemails. I debated back and forth about refunding the current month's monitoring fee (only was able to negotiate the late fee) and spent likely an hour explaining my case. It was all in vain. I was continually reminded that they tried contacting me for six months informing me to fill out and sign a cancellation form if I wanted the services canceled and that was the only way to do so. Wouldn't one think if there is no confirmation for almost six months on end of any sort of reply from the person you are trying to reach by phone and email it surely means they are not receiving any of your notices or voicemails? For a fact, they never even tried sending me their cancellation notice once to my mailing address (they claimed they never had on file it in the first place). Of course, I called them out on it though when a monthly bill did come in recently. So their company is suddenly able to send a billing notice immediately to my mailing address but was not able to do so with a cancellation form during that six month timeframe? It's absolutely ridiculous for me to have to pay for this monthly charge and the whole idea of getting a bill sent so quickly seems a bit shady. I will never recommend this company to anyone I come in contact with. I know and will tell them it's better off to stay far away from this company for their home monitoring needs.

Eric was a nice guy who was patient and professional. He provided suggestions on what would have been the best option for my situation. He was punctual and executed everything as promised. I would definitely work with this company again.

Superb! Kevin was the tech for each of 3 visits. He was always on time, and very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He worked diligently, but never made us feel like he was too busy to answer questions. At one point, we realized that wiring that I had thought was already in place was in fact not. I was certain that would make installation of the motion sensors I wanted impractical and very expensive. Kevin was optimistic, and worked hard to find and splice wires - he had it working within an hour. No extra charge. Excellent family-owned business - recommended.

They are excellent. I would recommend them to others. The service call system works very good. If you have a problem, and the alarm goes off, they will contact you in about 30 seconds. They are good all around.

It has been great. We have been using them for about a year and a half. I would recommend them to others. If you have an alarm in your house, you can use it, and they don’t need to install all of their own equipment. They have been really great. If you set off the alarm they are really fast to respond.

The company is overall a good experience. When we began with them 15 years ago they would come and change the battery out in the system as needed. In the last five years they now require us to come pick up a battery and install it ourselves which really isn't a big deal. The most positive things are as follows; 1. They are always prompt in case of an alarm 2. If we go on vacation or a business trip we let them know and they are always diligent about making sure they call the correct numbers in case of an alarm. 3. Our system does not false alarm. 4. In all the years we have used them, 15 or so, they have only gone up in price one time. 5. Our experience is very positive.

They are wonderful. They have helped us with everything we’ve needed. We have set the alarm off unintentionally and they have been patient and didn’t get upset with us. We are very pleased with their service. We had one incident and I couldn’t get back in the house; the alarm went off. They were very responsive and even sent over an officer.

Their service is great. They are super good and reasonably priced.

They have been with me for a long time. They do a great job. They send out EBills before they even get your payment for the next month. My main issue is that I get a lot of EBills which makes it confusing. I have done business with them, however, since they were Pyramid alarms.

Our research just indicated that they were the best ones to go with. We chose to go with them based on what they were able to provide and their monthly fees. I’ll give them an A provided they fix what they are supposed to today. They were the most reasonable ones compared to the others. They did a good job. They came, they did and they left and hopefully they do the same today. Their responsiveness is very good. They were right on time. They were very professional in showing their badges and everything else.

Mautz has always been very good to me. I find their prices to be reasonable and I have had no major problems either with my alarm itself or with them monitoring it for me on a monthly basis. I certainly would give them a good recommendation to other, and say that I feel like a satisfied customer when dealing with them.
