I told them I had a drainage leak in the front yard and to come over with a camera to check it out. They did show up, no camera, wanted to dodo the entire front yard and lines. Charged me $76 for stopping in, had a very expensive estimate and left. Awful! I had my irrigation people look at it dug it up and fixed it for $100. Would never call these people again.

Called plumber at about 9 AM and requested a service call. Larry O arrived on-time at about 2 PM. Both tub and toilet were also completely clogged. Plumber inspected the outside clean-out and remove minor hair from the tub drain. Next he ran a snake through the tub several times but could not reach the clog. Larry O removed the toilet and ran a large motorized snake and cleaned the clog. He did a good job cleaning up.

A leak from the kitchen sink cleanout to the outside brick wall on my 59 year old house (that has a slab foundation and cast-iron plumbing pipe) prompted a plumber search. An individual friend of a family member who worked for a plumbing company ran a camera through the pipes under the house and established the drains from the kitchen all were deteriorated and needed to be rerouted. I am a DIYer on a tight budget, so I dug about 40' of trench myself, and with the help of a good friend tunneled under my driveway with pipe (research from YouTube- was fun - and it worked!) before I wore out and was to have the individual plumber I hired finish the job. He came and assessed the work I had done, we agreed on a price, and he was to show up the next week to complete the job. He never showed and never called again. At that point I joined Angie's list to find a new plumber and called four companies that had great ratings. One never returned my call, one said on the phone he was too busy and couldn't get to me for two months, two came out and gave quotes. The first quoting company's rep was not impressed with the work I had already done, quoted an outrageous price, had attitude. Chris at LarryO Plumbing was respectful of the work I had already done, listened to my concerns over tearing up my original hardwood floors and driveway, and quoted me a fair price. He managed to cap off the pipe under the house by only tearing up one 12" square of tile in the kitchen - not any of my hardwood floors. He also utilized most of the trench I had already dug, including the pipe under the driveway (saved on demo and repair of driveway). He was not always prompt, but always called me to let me know when he was running late. As an independent female homeowner who has many times come against that here-let-me-fix-it-for-you-honey male mentality - it was refreshing to speak with a repair man who looked me in the eyes and conversed intelligently with me about the repairs and the work I had already done. The job is now complete and I am very happy with the quality of work performed, which he warranties for a year. I will now recommend LarryO Plumbing to everyone I know. Thank you Chris!
Description of Work: Re-routed kitchen sink, dishwasher, washing machine drainage lines around outside back of house to front of house & tied into main sewer line. Installed three clean-outs, capped off old drainage line under house.

When I discovered a small lake in the cabinet under the kitchen sink, I feared a major leak. Some minor investigation revealed that it was leaking from the garbage disposal drain pipe that leads into the plumbing pipes. The water could not be turned on without it gushing out into the cabinet below. My husband had installed the disposal several years ago, and he stated that he had not properly installed the clamp. But it had been operating like that for years with no problems. So we suspected a back up somewhere down the line. I called Larry O and was told they could be there within the hour, which they were. I was informed on the phone that there would be a $39 service call fee. Two service technicians arrived. They wore shoe covers before coming into the house. The service technician's diagnosis was that there was no backup but instead, the problem was that the disposal drain pipe was simply too short. He said he could fashion an extension and attach it with a properly installed clamp. He quoted me $163 (which included the service call fee), which I thought was a little steep, but I went ahead and ok'd it. There's something appealing about a professional standing right there ready to do the work. :) Once the work was complete, everything ran smoothly. I tested the water, the disposal and the dishwasher, and all ran smoothly. They also gave a 2 year warranty on the work.
Description of Work: They installed an extender on the pipe coming from the garbage disposal into the plumbing pipe under the kitchen sink.

We had a water leak at the outside cutoff box yet again. The original plumber who had installed the cutoff valve had repaired it twice and each time he damaged the landscaping and it took us several weekends to get things fixed right. He also killed an shrub in the process. This time I called Larry O who had done some minor work previously for me in the house. The plumber came over on Friday and we discussed how many times it had leaked. He suggested that it was because the water line was improperly installed initially several years ago so the joints were stressed. He quoted a price to locate the leak and repair it. He also suggested we consider replacing the entire line since we were having repeat problems. The line he would install was a one piece line made of a special more flexible plastic that my husband was familiar with because it is used in implants. On the install day they arrived on time. They took particular care of my roses and removed all the pavers from the path. He showed me that the original line was leaking in more than one place because the dirt was very wet in several places when they dug the trench. Although there is no clean way to dig a trench, they replaced the soil in such a way that it will settle with minimal damage on the grass. They also stacked the brick pavers so we will have a easy time to redo the landscaping once the soil settles. They replaced the box with the cut valve so it was level and set in on bricks so it would not sink. The company called the night after the project was done to see if we had any concerns and ask if we were satisfied. I told her that I appreciated the respect that their employees had for my property. I know plumbing is messy but it can still be done with a lot of pride in workmanship.

Description of Work: had faucets and shower head that leaked. He repaired some but others were too old and would have required extensive replacement and we chose not to go forward as the leak was slow and not worth the expense. He fixed what was fixable. I called this company and explained that I was planning on remodeling 3 bathrooms and wanted to replace 3 toilets as well as the water supply controls. I asked if the company was interested in pricing the work. I was informed that they charged by the job versus by the hour, which was okay with me. The lady that took my call was very helpful and did great follow up work. The representative showed up timely and presented himself well. After reviewing the work to be done, he also explained the company's pricing. Then he showed me the pricing for replacing one toilet. A base unit was in excess of $1,000 ...not for 3 toilet mind you, but 1! Knowing that the toilet cost roughly $250 and based on my research roughly an hour and half of a plumber's time at $100/hr., I was expecting something like $400 - $500. I had to pick myself off of the floor. I stop the representative at that point and said not to go any further, because there was no way I was going to pay $1,000 plus per toilet. He graciously complied stopped and then advise me that I owed him $39 for a service call. Wow! I paid it just to get him out of my house (he was only there for about 10 minutes). This company must do great work and I assume that they do, but I can't afford them. Just keep in mind when you call them and set up and appointment, based on my experience, you're going to pay $39 bucks just to find out how good they are."

Used Angie's list to find a plumber that would come out and give me an estimate before starting the job. They had to dig a hole near the meter about 3 ft by 3ft and 3 ft deep. The area was very saturated so I appreciated that they took the time to cut the sod so it could be placed back after the job. They also placed the mud they dug up on cardboard so it did not tear up the grass. They showed me the piece that had cracked and how they replaced it before backfilling the hole. They were very efficient and careful. The work has a 2 year warranty. Great job. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
Description of Work: Water was leaking by the water meter. Verified with the water company that it was my pipe that was leaking. The PVC joint near the water meter had cracked. They replaced it with a brass coupling.

They ran a camera through the pipes and found a crack. They had to replace that. I have used them in the past and I will use them again. There was a little mix up at the time. They really are good. Apparently they don't give warranties but they gave me one on the pipe. I trust them because they are local. They are good to work with and deal with.

We were so pleased with this company. They had their hands full with our house. We found them to be very reliable, courteous, and we thought they exemplified a good semblance of work ethics. We would use them again. Not only did we feel that their work was very good, but it was also fair in price. We paid somewhere under ten thousand dollars by utilizing the services of their company. We had received estimates from other businesses, however, that were higher in price.
Description of Work: This company came and had to reroute our plumbing systems for us underneath the actual foundation of our approximately two thousand square foot home. It was a very complicated situation and the easiest way to describe what happened would be to state that more or less, we had a huge leak underneath of our house.
