John Aldinger Piano Tuning

I have a new grand piano and Mr Aldinger meticulously gave every part attention, fine tuning, refit all felt parts and made the piano sound and perform PERFECTLY!! He was patient and spent a very long time. Removed parts and made sure everything was perfect. I was undercharged truthfully so I tipped a lot.

It sounds better than it EVER did! I have never seen anyone take such care and pride in their work. Mr. Adinger is the consummate professional in all aspects of his craft. And you will love hearing him play before he leaves😊

Mr. Aldinger has tuned my piano since at least 2001. He has always done an excellent job. I routinely refer churches as well as my piano students to him and they have always been pleased with his work. I highly recommend him!

Mr. Aldinger did a great job. He was very prompt at returning my call, explaining the process and setting up an appointment. He called when he was on the way and arrived at the appointed time. Mr. Aldinger took great care to make sure that the piano was tuned and that sticking keys were repaired. He also made a number of suggestions for making sure that my sixty-year old piano stays in good condition. I would recommend him enthusiastically.

Mr. Aldinger called the night before to confirm the appointment, which I greatly appreciated as it indicated he would come as promised. He arrived on time and was very polite and professional. Mr. Aldinger is very knowledgable about pianos - their history as well as technically. He was able to determine the age of my piano and discern some of its history by its appearance and explain the implications about the piano's present condition. My piano is damaged and cannot be tuned to perfect pitch. Mr. Aldinger skillfully managed to compensate for the damaged bridge and tune it close to perfect as possible. His price was extremely reasonable. Listening to him play several songs to test his work was an unexpected treat. He takes pride in his work and it shows. I do recommend him and plan to use his services again.

He came out the same day and looked at the piano and gave 3 estimates for different levels of work. He came out 3 days later and completed the work. He explained what he could and could not do. ( It is a very old piano) We were very pleased with his work and will surely ask him to tune our piano again.

I did not know if the piano could be tuned and wanted to get an assessment of the its condition. This piano had been moved across the country a couple of times, had keys sticking and had been stored in other than optimal surroundings(humidity, heat). Mr Aldinger thoroughly checked the piano out and determined that he could tune it and it was not ready for the garbage heap. He took it apart, tightened all screws, tuned it and entertained and educated me greatly with information about the piano industry and its history. He was able to determine its age(1985). Mr Aldinger spent a couple of hours working on it. I was scared that it was going to be expensive, but nothing broke and he charged a very reasonable price! He let me know that due to the conditions it was in and the length of time since the last tuning that he could not guarantee that the keys would not stick again. The piano is working great now and I will call him every year instead of waiting 15 years!

Mr. Aldinger spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me discussing my piano and my desire to tune and refurbish it. Despite the fact that I ultimately decided against tuning and refurbishing at all, he was so kind and polite and helpful. I felt like I was talking to a professional who loves piano's. In the event that we replace our piano and are ready for maintenance, I will be calling Mr. Aldinger again!

Provided information about our particular piano brand and model, including the reasonable asking price if we were to list it for sale. He tuned the piano bring it to concert pitch. He was honest and candid, noting that the tune may not be stable since the piano had not been tuned for years.
