INTERFACE SECURITY SYSTEMS

Tried to get a quote. Took Interface 3 business days to respond. Couldn't answer ANY questions about product or price. They could only schedule someone saying "Every client is different so everyone's pricing is different". It was supposed to be a 30 minute On-Site walk-through and pricing. Took 90 minutes, most of which was the sales person saying how bad everyone else is rather than how good their product is. Worst part was after 90 minutes, they still couldn't give me a price. They gave me a Worst-Case Scenario if I had no discounts, but the price was obscene and no one would pay that. When I asked what the discounts would be or the price, they said "we don't know. We keep putting numbers in a computer, it gives us a GREEN or RED value. If Green, that's what we can charge, if RED, we plug in different numbers to get a Green price. So, I left just as confused as I was when I first called. The equipment seemed top-of-the line and similar to what many other Alarm companies can provide. BUT, without a price to go with it, I have no idea if it was affordable. All I want is a fair price. But I'm not sure how much haggling it will take to get that. The sales person said "Call me when you know how much the other guys are charging and we'll see what numbers I can get you". Why can't folks just be up-front and say "We've got a great product and service we stand behind. Our service costs THIS much based on the equipment you say you need". I won't be calling back as I don't want to play sales games....
