I purchased a Groupon for 4 hours work. On Wed 01/16/2013, I made an appointment for Thu 01/24/2013 with Jon Misewicz, the owner. On Thu 01/17/2013, I found H&L workers in my backyard (they did not notify me of their presence) and stopped them before they started tearing down my fence (work I had not requested). The men had been sent to my residence in error. They confirmed with Jon that my appointment was on the 24th. Jon and H&L were no-shows on the 24th. It was over 24 hours before Jon returned my calls about the no-show and commented that he should have called and advised me they were not coming. We rescheduled for Wed 02/20 between 12p-2p. FYI, during a 01/29 rainstorm, a window started leaking from the rotted wood I wanted H&L to replace on the 24th. I had to pay a window company extra for ?urgent? repair services, not to mention the water mess clean-up inconvenience I contacted Jon on 02/19, twice ? once to verify appointment and once for a follow-up question. He confirmed the appointment and the time. On the 20th, they showed up at 8:45am. Since I wasn?t expecting them at this time, I was in another part of the house, and didn?t hear them (Jon claimed to have knocked and rang the doorbell). Jon did leave a business card and a message on my cell phone (which was charging at the time) informing me that they had been there. No call was made to my home phone. Jon actually did return my phone call later that day, but made it clear that they were not coming back during the scheduled time period and that I had forfeited my appointment. He deigned to reschedule on Wed 02/28 between 8a-10a. Again, I let Jon choose the date and time and verified the date and time twice while I typed the appointment into my electronic calendar while he was on the line with me. The time conflicted with my plans, but to get him to do the work, I just re-scheduled my other appointment (medical) and personal plans. As I predicted would happen, Jon and H&L were no-shows. I waited the entire scheduled time period (plus extra before and after) in open view of my driveway and front door and had both my home and cell phones within arms? reach. It has been over 24 hours and Jon has not returned my calls. Based on these events I consider Jon and H&L inconsiderate, unreliable and unprofessional. I do not recommend them.
