Description of Work: I purchased a dishwasher to replace an old one. When it was delivered, the installer advised that distance between the dishwasher and the electrical receptacle was too far. The dishwasher was left in the box and I was advised to call back when I had the new receptacle installed by an electrician when other electrical work was done. Then I called for the installation. The dishwasher was removed from the box and installed. The installer advised there were scratches on the handle and he would call me back with a discount. He never called. I tried to start the dishwasher and it would not work .I went to the store and there was no one working that knew what to do.The dshwasher I purchased did not have a handle. The one I purchased was not available, so another one was substituted on the phone. I did not ask for one with a handle. The white male and female advised that someone would be in the store at 1:00 p.m. and he would call me. No one called me. I returned on the next Saturday and spoke to Sam. He made arrangements for the dishwasher to be picked up on Monday.He said Ik could not purchase another until the first one was picked up. I was called by Lakisha, appliance manager, advising me that they were not taking the dishwasher back. I could get a service call. I advised he that I did not purchase a dishwasher with a handle, it was damaged and it did not work. She advised she had to talk to the store manager again. Then, they decided to take it back. She advised Friday was the earliest it could be picked up. Thursday afternoon I received a recorded call, advising it would be picked up between 6 and 10 p.m. I thought that was very inconsiderate. I received a phone call about 11, advising they were near my house It was finally picked up about 1. I purchased dishwasher from another company and it was delivered on Saturday. The delivery man noticed that the water connection had not been turned off. It dripped on the cabinet and ruined the new laminated floor. He further advised there was no need for the new receptacle, all the original installer needed was a longer cord. I had to get a plumber to install the dishwasher and check the connection on Saturday. I had major expenses that I did not need due to the incompetence of the installers. The installers and the delivery men were from the distributor, Serv Pro. This company delivers for retail stores.

Description of Work: This was Kitchen tile work done for a financial client of and the work was contracted/performed by the Home Depot on Stage Ave. According to my client (a older lady), the work was performed by a young man/kid. The contractor did not stay on the job but left after one hour and left the young man to do the job. Problems: The linoleum planks were not cut properly showing waves and edges. The young man did not connect the ice maker copper line properly or it came loose. There was water damage down to the plywood sub-floor because it leaked for 8-10 days. My client did call Home Depot on the problem. She paid an extra $180.00for removal of all linoleum or tile layers from the kitchen floor. The finished job gave her 4 layers on the plywood sub-floor. I read the contract and explained to her that the old layers was not removed as she had paid for. They did not respond to the water damage in a timely manner. The contractor said that he was not responsible for the water leak. I had to call the zone manager for this area and review the contract with him. He did say that the fee for removal was for only one layer and not for asbestos layers(?) The contract did not specify one layer; it said all layers. I got the impression that this was just a way to pack more profit into a small job. The work was redone. All layers of old tile were taken up. The sub-floor was allowed to dry before applying the planks properly. My client even received a check for $150.00 repair work that she had to pay for.

Description of Work: Replaced carpet in 3 bedrooms and a hall, tiled 2 bathrooms and kitchen, and placed laminate flooring in master bedroom.

Description of Work: Home Depot installed new ceramic tile in our shower. The also installed some stone type tile for decoration that was a little more expensive.

Description of Work: They installed new carpet in 4 rooms and a hallway in my 3000 square foot home.
