Hill Service

When the monsoon rains come, our basement gets about a half inch to an inch of water in it. This causes problems w/ the hot water heater. It happens two or 3 times a year. The method other plumbers (such as Wade Plumbing) has used before was to pull out the thermocoupler assembly and use a blow dryer to dry it out. While the assembly is pulled out, the plumber will make sure that there isn't any debris in the filter or anywhere else so that air can properly get into the ignition chamber. Rather than pull out the assembly containing the thermocoupler and making sure that there wasn't any debris restricting the proper function of the ignition system, the Hill plumber said that the only thing that could be done is to let it dry out. I asked him if he was going to disassemble it to dry it out, he said no. I asked him some other questions, which made it obvious he wasn't interested in trying to fix the problem as much as he just wanted to quit working. When you call Hill Services on a Saturday, the person answering the phone will likely tell you that a service call is about $100 an hour w/ a 2 hour min. Perfectly understandable. But when the guy comes out thinking he is going to collect $200+ just for trying to light a pilot light and then when it doesn't stay lit, tell me that there is nothing he can do - there is NO WAY I'm paying a dime. At least try something. If I am going to be paying for 2 hours - take it apart and blow on it with your mouth to help it dry out faster - something - because I'm not in the habit of just handing out money to people that knock on my door - even if it is Halloween.

They completed the job when they told me they would, and they did it well. The unit is still functioning. They were here when they said they would be here. I would use them again in the future.

The plumber showed up, told me it was just clogged and offered to do the job for $400 if I paid him under the table. He became aggressively irate when I refused and sent him away. I went with another company who diagnosed the problem completely differently. I called Hill to complain and report him. A year later I made the mistake of calling them for a leaky toilet and the same guy showed up. I refused to let him into the house and called another plumber again.

They were very sanitary when they dug up the old line. They made very little mess and didn't dig up any of the back yard that didn't need to be. I am really happy we chose them because they were able to get the line replaced in just one day.

They were able to get all of the units in and the duct work done in two days. The thing that took the longest was the duct work, and they had two guys working on that the whole time. All of the units they put in have worked just fine.

This job was pretty big. They were here for quite a while doing work. It took about a month to complete, but, all is well ends well. Everything is just great. The workers were all very nice when entering in and out of my home. They were all very professional and they succeeded indefinitely. I have no complaints nor do I have any problems given them a very high recommendation.

I am really happy with the service that we got with them. They got both of the units replaced in just under four hours and they had them both working in less than five. I just can't believe how fast they were able to get all of the work done.

This company is definitely the best I have ever known. They did exceptionally great and interesting work. While here at my home, they were able to do everything as scheduled and without any problems at all. The one guy is very nice. He is a professional when it comes to this type of work. I have had him in the past and I have recommended him as well. They are probably not the cheapest priced but the work is done right. As for this service, I wish not to discuss pricing matters at this time.

The process of replacing the sewer line went pretty well. The workers were friendly, helpful and professional. They seemed to take great pride in their work. They did a nice job of putting the lawn back. I was happy with the service.

I am not really satisfied with Hill s service. Installing the sewer line went fine. When they thought the toilet was stopped up they removed the commode and found out that the problem was in the sewer line. But the commode is still loose since they put it back. Also after they installed a water heater, our faucet water pressure was restricted. When I called them they said it was not their problem or fault. Finally, they did come back and figured it out and got it corrected.

Both the air conditioner and the furnace that they put in for us have worked fine. The guys who installed them were really nice and got both of the units installed in four hours or so. They installed the furnace first because it was cold and we needed to heat the house.

I noticed water on my kitchen floor, and I looked under the kitchen sink to find that the pipes had water just spraying all over the place. I really did not know what to do, and we had used Hill Services Plumbing before, so I called them. They had someone come out to our house within, I would say about an hour and a half or so. The first thing he did was get the water turned off. He told me something like the pipes had split, and I would need a new pipe and fitting. He was able to go and get the parts he needed and come back and have it all repaired for me that same day. He was a very pleasant and polite man to deal with. He even showed me how to shut off the water if something like that was to happen again in the future.

They didn t replace all of the pipes they said they were going to and when we called them back they denied that they said that. The estimate was supposedly for all the pipes connecting to the house but they claimed it was just for the main pipe. They had terrible service and still had to pay. They weren't nice at all the second time around, in fact, they stopped taking our calls.

Hill Services did a very good job and I thought everything turned out good. I expected it to cost a little more than it did. So, that took me by surprise. I am satisfied and I really do not have any complaints at all at his time. Yes, I would call them again.

This company can be used for any kind of plumbing and I have been using them for thirty years. They always doing a great job and I was very pleased with the service. I would recommend this company to anyone because of the great work that they do and the friendliness that they pursue to the customers.
