They've been professional from start to finish. I requested a quote on line and they came out the following day. The estimate was thorough and clear. They called back to follow-up and it was easy to get services started. It hasn't been long enough to say if they will kill my weeds :) but we've been happy with Herbi-Systems and plan to continue with regular service.

They do everything from lawn, tree and shrub care to applying lawn chemicals and killing insects and hat kind of things. We had spent in a year about 7 or 800. They also work on irrigation systems which we have on our property. They came out to tune up the system to get it to distribute the water properly. This is the type of problem you start dealing with this stuff. In one place in front of our home, the system was spitting out too much water and keeping the ground too stuff. The mowing service you couldn't mow the grass, so we had to get that cleared up before the season started. They are competitive. They are a first class company. You never have to call them back, because they call you after everything they do. Any criticism you have they send somebody out to fix them. I don't know any other company that works on that basis. What place you know where they actually follow up by calling you to see if you're happy with what they did. That is a unique service. I'm using them now and will continue.

I would highly recommend Herbi-Systems. I've used six or more companies in the past and Herbi-Systems seems to have better chemicals & very knowledgeable associates. Unfortunately, I graded with a B rating due to a temporary technician we had for the past eight months. Our original tech came back recently and our lawn has never looked better. Sometimes you need to determine if the problems you're having are with the lawn service or technician.

It was $95.86 for the ants. They always call and let me know when they are coming and they leave a ticket on the door that they had been there. They are on time, but they don’t have to be there at a certain time. They are very professional. They are very pleasant men that come out and do this work. I have a contract with them and I use them all year. The best thing is the technicians that come out to do the work. Just one technician comes out to do the work. It doesn’t take long to do the work, maybe about an hour, it depends on what they are doing. They always give me little notes. They write little notes on the ticket that they leave on the door. They’ll say something like, it will take longer for wild grass to die down due to the weather. That is nice to know. They let us know what kind of condition the lawn is in, if we need anything extra, which we never do. It just helpful notes that they give. That is what I mean by, I like the technicians. I think they come out once a month.

Killed several areas of grass by leaving a ton of fertilizer on some spots, they said that they would replace the grass again, I called and let them know if the grass came back I would hire them agin, Needless to say the grass did not come back. Another funny thing is the technician that cared for the lawn always rated it the same, despite a deteriorating appearance, either he was blind, or he didn't want his boss to get on his case. Either way he should have considered the customer first. Lemme kill your grass should be the slogan.

In the event a customer is unhappy with our services, rest assured that we take the matter seriously. We began taking care of the Members lawn in the spring of 2012. The Member initially contacted our office in the spring of 2013, 16 months ago, to have the technician’s manager, the Territory Manager, look at a yellow spot in the lawn. The Territory Manager indicated that the yellow spot was “fert burn where it looked like the technician had spilled fertilizer on the lawn.” Instructions were given to the Member to water the lawn and if the area did not improve, we would come out and sod the damaged area. A few months later in the summer, the Member asked the Territory Manager to call him because the damaged area was not coming back. The Territory Manager talked to the Member and told him that he would give Four Seasons Lawn Care the Member’s address so that the damaged area could be sodded. Four Seasons went out and sodded the damaged area. Last fall, the Member again contacted our office requesting the Territory Manager call him regarding burnt areas in his lawn. The Territory Manager spoke to the Member regarding the area next to the original damaged area (which was repaired with new sod), and the Member said he would wait until spring of 2014 to see if the lawn came back. The Territory Manager told the Member if it did not, we would be happy to come out and sod the damaged turf surrounding the new sodded area. In the spring of 2014, the Member called and cancelled his services with us stating he was going to wait and see what a section of his lawn was going to do this summer. A few months later the Member posted on Angie’s List that he was unhappy rather than contact our office. Shortly after the Member posted the review, we received notice from Angie’s List. Pursuant to our office policy, we entered a Manager’s Inspection to have the Territory Manager inspect the lawn. The Territory Manager inspected the lawn and determined that some additional areas of the lawn needed to be sodded. The Territory Manager arranged for Four Seasons to have those additional areas sodded. Four Seasons needed clarification on the areas that needed the additional sod. On July 29, 2014, we spoke with the Member and he was going to mark the spots that Four Seasons needed to sod. On August 19, 2014, the Territory Manager followed up with the Member to see if the lawn was doing better. The Member stated that he was happy with the sod job and that at this time he was not ready to re-activate but if in the future he changed his mind, he would contact us. Herbi-Systems is sorry for the damage that the spilled fertilizer caused to the Member’s lawn, but hope that the steps taken to replace the damaged turf has corrected the situation to the Member’s satisfaction.

Technician was courteous, and explained what he would do, and what I should do or not do after application. He also indicated that he would return in approximately ten days for a follow-up application. He answered all of my questions, and left a printed brochure that explained the timing of various product applications. He made sure that I understood I could opt out of one or more applications if I wished, only paying for the services I actually used. The lawn responded to treatment exactly as the technician explained. The follow-up application removed more weeds and crabgrass, and the lawn is looking much better than before.

Perhaps that should be the new saying, "Let me kill your grass." I don't understand how the technician who comes out 7 times a year doesn't notice the supposed fungus I had. Timeline: 2012 best looking yard on the block using Herbi (started in spring 2012) then went dormant, then lime application 12/11/12 and yard starts looking clumped. Black clumps worsened after 2/5/13 fertilizer treatment, on a dormant lawn mind you, but I figured because technician had just been there that everything was fine as no notes were left on paperwork. Black clumps turned to brown with increasing bare spots and then another fertilization on 4/6/13 on dormant lawn and again no mention of problem. I called 4/15/3013 to report problem and another technician came out and said I had a fungus and wanted $112 to fix. I gave the go ahead the same day and the fungus was not treated until 4/30/13. At this point a huge area of the front yard looked dead, and still looks dead to this day 6/11/13, but was fertilized again 5/17/13 with no mention of lawn condition or treatment. I called early 5/28/13 to report continued problem and an office worker said she would have the technician call me. Late 5/30/13 I had no contact with technician and telephoned office. I was told that they had some office staff problems and that the message must have been lost. This customer was also lost along with 2 neighbors that were going to change to Herbi based on how my yard looked last year but changed their minds based on how it looks now. Thank you Herbi for making one of the best parts of my day, coming home, an absolute eyesore.

Below, we have outlined the details of events leading up to the Angie’s List Member complaints, along with our responses, personal attention and services, which also included a complimentary application. April 15, 2013, Herbi-Systems received a phone call from the Member to inquire if his technician treated the left side of his lawn. Our company generated a customer call for the technician to follow up with the Member regarding treatment being done on the left side on his lawn, but there was no mention of dead spots. Our technician then called back that same day and confirmed that he is treating the left side of his lawn. April 23, 2013, The Member called in and requested that a manager looks at the dark spots in his lawn. The Herbi-Systems office staff entered a Manager Inspection Service call to review the lawn’s dark spots. April 24, 2013, A Herbi-Systems Territory Manager met with the Member about the dark spots, which was a fungus. The Member called and agreed to a fungicide application. The fungicide application was entered into the system and documents were printed. April 30, 2013, Fungicide completed. May 30, 2013, The Member called Herbi-Systems and cancelled the account due to dissatisfaction with the dark spots and fungus. At Herbi-Systems, a Manager Inspection is generated when a customer cancels due to dissatisfaction. A Manager Inspection was then entered to follow up on the Member’s lawn. June 3, 2013, The Herbi-Systems Territory Manager conducted the Manager Inspection and informed the Member that the lawn looks better, that it will take time for the grass to fill in, and to call him back with any questions. June 14, 2013, Herbi-Systems contacted the Member in response to the Angie’s List complaint. A customer call was generated and the Territory Manager spoke directly to the Member. The Manager called the Member back the same day, although the Member had limited time to discuss the matter, the Manager communicated to the Member that Herbi-Systems will provide a free fungicide application and arranged for the two to meet. June 18, 2013, The Herbi-Systems Territory Manager met with the Member while applying the fungicide and persuaded the Member to stay with Herbi-Systems to get the problem fixed. Herbi-Systems sprayed a fungicide at no charge and told the Member that the company would schedule a return visit in three weeks to check on his lawn. The Manager also placed a follow-up service call to add more fertilizer to the Member’s lawn. June 21, 2013, Per the Territory Manager Inspection, the Member’s technician treated the Member’s lawn with a free courtesy service call to treat with more fertilizer. July 2, 2013, The Herbi-Systems technician provided a (free of charge) regular program treatment with fertilization and weed control application. July 09, 2013, The Herbi-System’s Territory Manager evaluated the progression of the lawn and noticed the bare spots are gradually filling in and looks a lot better and that he would be back for another manager inspection in another three weeks. The Herbi-System’s Territory Manager will continue to follow up on the Member’s lawn every three weeks to inspect the lawn until the bare areas are filled completely and the Member’s lawn meets his satisfaction. Confusion regarding when they would send someone out to do the estimate. I called them on Thursday and asked if I could have someone come out the next day as I would be off work. Was told it would not be necessary for me to be home- estimate would be left on my door. No estimate left. Was out of town monday so waited til Tuesday to call back. Just got a return phone message saying I had just put the order in on the previous day (monday) and that it takes 2-3 days to get a technician to come out on a call. ( I was not advised of this on Thursday when I first called to arrange for the estimate). Although the person I spoke with was friendly and helpful, I am irritated that she obviously waited from Thursday til Monday to enter my order and then said the error was mine.

Our company process is to inform prospective customers that the office is not able to schedule appointments for our technicians and the typical time for completion is 3 to 4 business days. On 4/29/13 The Status on the estimate was changed in order for the estimate to print. There was an error when the estimate was entered which delayed the estimate from printing. On 4/30/13 The estimate printed; the Member called at 5:04 p.m. and left a message to cancel her estimate request. On 5/1/13 The estimate was cancelled per the Member request. On 5/2/13 The office staff called the Member in response to her request to cancel her estimate and the Member confirmed her request to cancel and expressed her dissatisfaction with the service. On 5/6/13 The Office Manager received an email to contact (member name removed). On 5/7/13 The Office Manger spoke with the Member and the Member requested a call back after 4:00 p.m the next day. On 5/8/13 The Office Manager left a voice mail for the Member. On 7/2/13 The Office Manger called and spoke with the Member, apologized for the errors; the Member thanked us for the call and stated that she does have someone else treating her lawn, but if they do not work out, she will give us another try.

We are starting our third season with Herbi-Systems spraying our front lawn. They spray about 6 times a year and they have taken a hopeless weed patch we called a lawn and turned it into a beautiful front lawn. We are very pleased. The first year was a major job that needed extra spraying and they always came back promptly and did the extra spray at no extra charge - they stood by their guarantee.

Had several applications and still had weeds. The compnay did call me after a week of each application like they said they would and they were very nice and professional on the telephone. I would let them know that the weeds were no going away and they would send the tech out to take care of the matter. My complaint is the weeds in my yard still were not being killed. Not sure what the problems was but I ended up canceling the service.

I was contacted by one of their representatives shortly there after and the service was started a week later.Ther telephone representative was very nice and professional, the only complaint I have is that the weeds did not die. Below, we have outlined a chronology of events leading up to Member’s Angie’s List complaints, along with our responses, personal attention and services, which also included a complimentary application. In January 2012, Herbi-Systems first treated Member’s lawn. Our technician noted weeds present, gave the lawn a rating of 2 out of 9, and told Member that he would return in seven to 10 days for a follow-up. When our technician followed up seven days later, he noted the lawn had improved and subsequently gave it a rating of 4 out of 9. In March 2012, our technician returned to conduct Member’s second lawn treatment. At that time, he noted there were still broadleaf weeds present, but also noted that the lawn had greatly improved. He gave the lawn a rating of 7 out of 9. In late March 2012, Member called our office with concerns about the number of weeds in his lawn, citing the second lawn treatment did not affect the weeds. He also requested that a manager inspect his lawn. In response to Member’s request, Herbi-Systems first entered a weed service call for an onsite visit. Our technician noted that the lawn had tall fescue present, which he treated, and then gave the lawn a rating of 7 out of 9. Next, a manager inspection was ordered and conducted on March 30, 2012. In his report, our manager stated that the lawn looked fine with just a few weeds in the ditch by the road. He also called for a service visit for poor lawn color. Finally, our technician treated the lawn with a fertilizer product at no charge on April 5, 2012, again giving the lawn a rating of 7 out of 9. The customer called back in late April 2012 to cancel the account stating he was unhappy with the weeds in his yard. At that time, no further manager inspections were entered pursuant to the customer’s request that no one return to look at his lawn. In our industry, taking a lawn from a rating of 2 to 7 in four months is considered a great improvement. We make every effort to communicate to our customers that the current state of a lawn prior to treatment is directly associated with the timeline it takes to repair the damage. We make it a practice to go the extra mile to satisfy any and all concerns. Though we cannot make transformations overnight, we do provide immediate response. And in a reasonable amount of time, customers will see a marked improvement and begin to enjoy healthy, beautiful lawns. Our customers are of great value to us. Herbi-Systems’ efforts to resolve this problem are part of our continued commitment to quality customer service and excellent lawn care. We have a very large lawn. Herbisystems has been treating our yard for 5 years. When they started out there was hardly anything but weeds, even though we had been using another lawn service. They come out 5 times a year and my lawn looks GREAT! Tim is very conscientious and spends hours here everytime, ensuring that my yard gets complete care. When I have a problem, or some weeds pop up between treatments he always comes right out to take care of the problem.We just started using Herbisystems for tree treatment ($50-$70) for evergreens with a bad bagworm problem. It has not been a year yet and I have not seen 1 live bagworm. Dallas is always very helpful and knowledgeable and has lots of advice.We would not use anyone else!

I've been using them for about 3 years now. I was not really happy that the bill was raised but I understand why. I am planning on talking to them to see since I am a repeat customer about getting the price back down to where it was before. At first they would call all the time to make sure we were satisfied with the work they did but they no longer call like that anymore since its been so long that we have been using them.
Description of Work: I use Herbi-Systems Inc for my yard work. They do lawn fertilization also.

The lawn specialist is always there the day he says he's coming (provided it doesn't rain) he's very informative. He informed me of the problem grub worms and is now treating that problem along with killng the weeds.
Description of Work: This company has the best service and the best price.

horrible. They will only make it better once we get our yard resodded.
Description of Work: I hired this service last year to perform lawn service for my yard. I kept getting weeds and my lawn continued to get worse. I can't begin to tell you how bad my yard looked. I had paid for grubs treatment and never received it so the moles ate my yard up. As it turns outI also got a fungu in the yard due to their lack of treatment. They said that they kept coming out and at some point got very argurmentative with me. I had to take pictures of my lawn and physically go to their business to show them that I was telling the truth. As it turns out, our neighbors had also decided to use them the same sumer. The tech was treating their lawn and never touched ours but they were charging us and the neighbors. To spite us, the tech came out and oversprayed our yard, thus killing our lawn. It has never been the same. They credited our account (but would not return out money). We still have, due to the credit, but hardly have any grass. I'm trying to get them to resod our yard (I have pics to prove it too) but they have not agreed to it.

In the event a customer is unhappy with our services, rest assured that we take the matter seriously. It is our policy to call each customer after every service to check on results. Below, we have outlined a chronology of events leading up to the member’s Angie’s List complaints, along with our responses, personal attention and services, which included several complimentary applications and other credits. In August 2011, the member brought to our attention that we had inadvertently treated her neighbor’s yard rather than hers. We immediately corrected the situation by crediting the three applications and treating her yard with fertilizer and weed control. On August 26, 2011, the member visited our office with concerns of weeds in her lawn and burnt/yellow spots. Our office manager put in an ASAP for the customer’s Round 4 to be done immediately, and to call the member to meet before treating her yard. On August 29, 2011, we assigned a Herbi-Systems’ manager to meet with the member and inspect the lawn. The member’s greatest concern was the burnt/yellowing spot in the lawn. Herbi-Systems’ manager advised him that the thin areas are due to shade structures while the burnt/yellowing spot is the result of the weed control product application and that this reaction is normal. He encouraged the member that his lawn would green-up with watering. At that time, the member informed our manager that he did not want the current technician assigned to his yard; therefore, we honored his request. On September 20, 2011, our Herbi-Systems’ manager followed up with regard to the customer’s lawn and noted that the lawn had grub worm damage and tip burn, but no fungus was present. Our manager told the member that he would put in a service call for a complimentary grub worm treatment and asked her to keep watering the lawn. A few days later, our technician applied the Round 5 treatment, as well as the grub worm treatment at no additional charge. In February 2012, our salesperson talked to the member and sold him a preventive fungicide treatment for his entire yard, which was applied on March 23, 2012. In June 7, 2012, our Herbi-Systems’ manager responded to the member’s Angie’s List concerns. He met with the member who was concerned with other thin bare areas in his lawn. Our manager noted that burnt areas and grub worm damage were still present, but improving. The manager explained that the grub worm damage the customer noticed had originated from the fall season when these pests feed. The manager also noted that the backyard was shaded and there was damage to the zoysia due to urine from the customer’s three large dogs. While our manager conducted the inspection, he again applied a grub worm treatment at no charge to make sure the grub worms were taken care of. On June 21, 2012, our manager also took on the duties of a technician, and placed a follow-up order to check the yard in a month. On July 10, 2012, as promised, our manager checked the lawn once again. He applied a fertilizer to the lawn at no charge and noted signs of improvement. Our customers are of great value to us. Herbi-Systems’ efforts to resolve this problem are part of our continued commitment to quality customer service and excellent lawn care.
