We did not care for this company. AC work for the weekend, close to 100 degrees, and they told me that it would be a week out. With the home warranty service, response time is up to 24 hours. They are too booked, and are not nice about it. The lady also accused me of lying. They should have called back, when they said that they would.

They came and they were really good cause it was a hot summer, they came pretty much on time. My husband was taking chemo therapy treatment and they were aware of this and the house was getting so hot and everything so they really worked with us well so I'm gonna give them an A for the whole thing.
Description of Work: I use Greenway Home Services for heating and A/c services. They came out and fixed a motor for us.

The install went well! They were flexible to allow me to be at work a few miles down the road while they installed. Every time I came home to check on things, they were working hard and were very respectful. The system has worked incredibly well just as it was sold to me; folks that come in my home rave about how good it feels in my home. The problem that has arisen is two and a half months ago, I reached out to my salesman telling him it was hot in my daughter's bedroom and not getting enough air. (Something that wasn't a problem with our 28 year old unit that half worked..) He let me know someone would come out- he indeed did, said that the way the vent was installed back decades ago, limits the air flow. (Very curious considering this wasn't a problem before..) he made some adjustments to the dampers in other rooms and said that should work. When he left, our master bedroom became warmer and no change to my daughters room. I reached out to the salesman again..He told me he'd get back to me and have something scheduled- that didn't happen. Three weeks later, I called and left a voicemail on the weekend (I work M-F 12 hour days) to someone that could help me the operator said. The person called me on Wednesday of the next week (no urgency) and scheduled for the install person, Allen to come out. Allen came out again and stated that there was just going to have to be another vent added in my daughter's room. He opened the damper back up in our bedroom which made it cool again (Thank goodness! My pregnant wife was not pleased prior to that in the least.) He said he'd call to schedule an install. No one called me for over two weeks (no urgency again) So I called in myself. I was called back and fed some story that a part must be ordered and it hasn't come in. (I talked with my neighbor who is certified in HVAC and works as a manager for Johnstone who said if all they want to do is add another vent and make another run- we're just talking duct work, a boot (possibly) and a vent.. none of which shouldn't already be on hand at ANY A/C supplier. He validated my fear that I was being fed crap and the ball had been dropped.) Finally, the service was scheduled, I took off work for August 18th- I got a phone call on the 17th from Beau stating that "the part" still hadn't come in and they should have it tomorrow. (The 19th) and to expect to see them the next day from 4-6. I get a phone call an hour later from Beau asking could they not come earlier from 12-4 instead. I said I'd have to rearrange appointments I had but I could do that. He thanked me. Today, the 19th I get a phone call at 11:00 stating that they are going to have to reschedule for another day due to how backed up they still were today even after yesterday. (Validation that it wasn't a part that needed ordered but they hadn't scheduled themselves well.) I'll be honest, I told the woman calling that I knew she was the messenger, but I was not willing to reschedule and went on a rant. Minutes later Beau called me again and stated that he had been with me all along and rescheduling three times as too many, but the best he could do was 4-6 today if they were going to do it today (mind you, that is what I originally wanted and was rescheduled to convenience them.. and rescheduled all my appointments.) He basically in a professional way, told me "tough" and that if I wanted it done today, it was going to be 4-6. What was I to do? Say no? I have already paid them nearly twelve thousand dollars.. it's not like I can say forget it and go somewhere else.. There was a sense of urgency when they could sell me something new.. but when it came time to stand behind their promises, the urgency and courtesy weren't there. Because of this, I wouldn't use Greenway again. As a matter of fact, they are favored by my home warranty- if the warranty calls for them again, I'll just skip the warranty and pay cash for someone else to come out. That's how unappreciated I feel from Greenway.

Last month our AC unit stopped cooling the house. We have a home warranty that makes us use Greenway. At the time we were told that he would be out the next day between 12-5 but that we were an add on so he might be late. The technician finally showed up at 9pm. He said we had a "micro leak" and that we needed refrigerant. He added 1/2 pound. When I asked him if he was going to find the leak he told me he would have to come back out at a later date since it was so dark. I was fine with that answer. Now 3 weeks later our AC is once again not cooling. I called 2 days ago and they informed me they put us on the first call for the afternoon. And that he should be here about noon. I called at 3:30pm and was informed that he was on him way to our house. At 4:45 I received a call saying this was our 30 minute warning and that he was on our way to our house. It is now after 6:30pm and he is still not here. The 2 times I have called their office I am greeted with rude and unhelpful people. That's all they ever say is that he will be here sometime tonight. Very unprofessional!! I would find someone else to call for your business!

Greenway was contacted through AHS to service my request for repairs to our clothes dryer. I was contacted shortly thereafter (the same day) and an appointment was set up for repairs. "Wil" arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. The parts were placed on order and a few days later we were up and running. Wil was very professional, and Greenway is fortunate to have someone who represents their company as well as he does. I don't want to jinx myself, but intend to call on Greenway for any future home repairs.

They left a mess. Did not lay down any paper. Greenway is the worst. None of their services guys are certified. They provide the worst service as well as customer service is poor. I once had them install an AC unit and I have a total of 4 units. They removed the wrong unit even thought the correct unit was already marked. I couldn't believe you they removed a perfectly good unit and placed it with another unit that cost me $8,000. I have to deal with them because I have an annual service I use and that is whom they contract with for all things that need servicing in your home.

The installation team at Greenway were very professional. They took the time to keep me informed on the progress and to show me what was done upon completion. I was also instructed on the use of my new smart thermostat. The installation required re-routing some duct work to address inconsistencies in temperature in different parts of the house. The new furnance is working flawlessly and I am able to monitor it even while I am away from the house! I am looking forward to some hot weather to test out the new A/C!! Overall, very satisfied with the Greenway team!
Description of Work: I called a competitor for a maintenance check of the furnance and they found a cracked heat exchanger and they recommended replacement. I was quoted a price for a new system. I decided to get a second opinion. I made an appointment with Greenway for an opinion. A salesman and a tech came out. The tech spent at least 30min evaluating my furnance and agreed with the initial diagnosis. At that point I sat with Darren and went over my options. He was willing and able to address my questions and concerns. I had some issues with my previous system since it was over 20 years old. It was determined that a new system (A/C and furnance should be replaced). Both providers gave me similar recommendations as to what was needed to address the issues I was having with the old system. Greenway gave me good pricing for the system replacement(considering it was a pricey decision regardless of who did it). More importantly, my concerns were addressed and options were presented both cheaper and more expensive. Darren gave me the tools I needed to make the best decision for my needs monetarily and what options were best for home comfort. I believe we have started a working relationship that will last years beyond any warranty period.

Technician called a few minutes before arrival within the scheduled "window." Performed checks, cleaned, replaced filter and gave me a verbal report of how system looked. Was professional and took great care not to track dirt into the house from outdoor or the attic.

Turns out it isn't a plumbing problem, but a problem of a a 21-year-old male offspring not knowing how to keep the shower curtain closed while bathing allowing water to run out onto the floor....through the grout....into the ceiling below.

Greenway was assigned through American Home Shield. They've come for my HVAC system in the past. This time it was my dishwasher. They diagnosed the circuit board problem and had to order a part. The part took several working days to come in. Not their fault. They scheduled a revisit to install as soon as the part arrived. Took the technician only 5 minutes to get the part in my dishwasher and have it up and running. Dishwasher original to the house so it must be at least 15 years old but runs like new. Very pleasant staff to work with.

Terry, the technician was prompt, courteous, and professional. Explained problem with the icemaker and what he was doing to make the repair. Greenway responded day they received work order and scheduled appointment for two days later. Contractor previously assigned work order scheduled appointment for ten days after my contact. They did not show or call on day of appointment. I

BEWARE!!! We had a frozen pipe in the downstairs front room of our house. My husband was working from home and heard it when it broke so the water was turned off immediately. We called Greenway because we had used them before for heating and air. The repairman came out the same day to do the repair. He couldn't repair it the first trip because he didn't have enough parts so he capped off the line and came back a few days later. When he finished, instead of welding a section of pipe in to replace the busted section, he installed several corner pieces so the pipe was shaped in a "U". This is where the problem started. A little over a week later I came home to a flooded downstairs. One of the joints had broken free while we were at work and water was everywhere! I called Greenway. They called one of their technicians (who was already at home, he said) to come over immediately to repair the pipe. He did at no charge. He admitted that it was a faulty repair and told us to not worry. Their plumbing manager would be calling us and that they "take care of their customers". The Manager did call and said that he would get someone out the next day to start the clean up and repair process. He had a company come over to vacuum up the excess water and the next step was to have a mediation team come put out fans to dry everything out. This is where the nightmare began. The Plumbing Manager called me back right after they finished vacuuming up the water saying that he had been told by the owner to not send anyone else out. We would need to file a claim with our homeowner's policy for any additional services. We didn't want to file a claim on our policy and fought with them until late Monday morning until they finally had their insurance company call me. When they did, I was told that they would pay us the depreciated value of everything that was damaged, not pay to put things back as they were. Their insurance company told me that the only way we could get things back to normal with no out of pocket expenses would be to file a claim with our insurance then have them file a claim with them. Since the flood had done thousands of dollars worth of damage, and we didn't have the money to replace hardwood floors, carpet, bathroom vanities, furniture baseboards and painting we reluctantly filed a claim with our homeowners insurance. We had to pay our deductible but were told that when they subrogated with Greenway's insurance company we would get it back and the claim wouldn't count against us. Our insurance company had everything repaired which took about 4 weeks, then contacted their insurance (which is what Greenway had been wanting us to do since the beginning). Their company refused to pay the claim stating the it wasn't a faulty repair, that the pipe had frozen again. We had pictures showing water coming from the joint that wasn't soldered, but that wasn't enough. We asked them to produce the receipt where they would have charged us again for the repair if it had simply been another frozen pipe, but they couldn't because they didn't charge us again. They got out of taking responsibility for bad workmanship and we were not only inconvenienced for a month during the repairs, but were out of pocket the amount of our deductible AND had a claim filed against our insurance which made our rates go up. BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! Just be sure that if you do use them that you have good homeowners insurance. If they make a mistake at your house, you'll need it!

They do inspection on my heating and air conditioning twice a year. I don't have any complaints. They do a complete system check for the unit that will be used for the next 6 months. I am pretty happy with their service so far. Anytime I have ever had them do anything other than just the systems they have been pretty quick and resolve whatever the issue is.

On the dryer the serviceman tried to tell me that the insurance didn't cover the repair and gave me a hard time until I called the insurance company. He left the impression he rather be somewhere else. The last time another serviceman came out for my air conditioner. I had called because the damper was not opening and closing upstairs. Before he checked on that he claimed my Freon was low and charge me over a hundred dollars to add Freon. Later after failing to fix the problem I called about I had another company out and they told me they need to take some FREON out because Greenway had sold me Freon I did not need and it could ruin my air conditioner being over loaded with Freon. This they did. Back to the rest of the story. The serviceman went up stairs tore away some insulation around the damper and told me that it was not covered by the insurance. I told him ok. Just fix it and I will pay for it. He said he would have to go back to the office before the fix. I called the office several times but never got anyone back. That's why I called the other company. Other then telling me Green way had over loaded the coils with Freon I was told my problem was not the damper but I needed two new thermostats ( they were 20 years old and not electronic, I got the thermostats installed and the air conditioner worked fine. How this company got a A in the Memphis, Tn. area is beyond me.

I called Greenway to come and try to fix a Maytag Skybox. I knew from searching the internet that the item might not be repairable. The technicians did a very thorough diagnostics and told me they could order a part that may nor may not fix the machine. When they returned they tried the new part and it did not work - but they had told me that might be the case. I was happy with their thorough diagnostics and honesty in attempting to repair this specialty item. They did not charge me for the return visit since the part did not work.

They're exceptional. There's been a couple of times where we called them out but it was not covered under American Home Shield and they've always done such good job that we said, "We'll pay you to do it even though American Home Shield is not gonna pay you for it. We'll pay you because you do such a good job."
Description of Work: Greenway Home Services LLC does our heating, air conditioner, plumbing and appliances. They are one of the providers that American Home Shield calls when an American Home Shield customer has a problem. They replaced the main circuit board that runs the air conditioner and the heater.
