General Moving Company Inc

They picked up my belongings and had it done within one night. They picked it up, stored it and delivered it with no damage. They were excellent and very careful. The price was average.

The movers who did this move were inexperienced, which was freely admitted by the company owner. They did not wrap or protect any items. I have pictures of the chair mentioned above sitting on it's side on the floor of the truck while other items were loaded and other items sitting on their side on the ground. There was no care taken with anything. When you hire a moving company, you expect them to have the knowledge of how to pack your possessions and care for them. There was no professionalism anywhere. At my new home they gouged the wall, ceiling and bannister in the stairwell to the second floor. They removed a bedroom door for more room and propped it against a brand new wooden bookcase which was already there when they arrived and damaged it. They didn't even move that item, but still managed to scratch it all up. They put several obviously damaged items in the garage instead of bringing them in the house. We called the company and the owner, Sidney, and he agreed to come to the house to assess the damages. Why he did this, I'll never know because he was argumentative, out and out rude and did not once offer any apology or concern for our distress. He offered me $600 and said that was generous. There is at least $8000 worth of damage.   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS BECAUSE THEY TREAT YOU AND YOUR POSSESSIONS LIKE TRASH.

This was the worst experience I have ever had.  STAY AWAY!!!!!
 It started with the movers showing up 45 minutes late without a call to explain why and upon arrival they had no experience as to why they were late.  I was told that I would have 4 "men" and only 3 showed up.  They were also unaware that I had another location to move as well. 
Upon the start of the move (which I had already moved all the boxes) all 3 men had to come in independently to inspect what they were moving.  This took up the first 20 minutes of the move.  The 3 of these movers were the slowest individuals I have ever had the experience of working with.  They carried one thing at a time out of the house.  When it came time to move the washer and dryer they did not have any proper tools to unhook the appliances and I had to hunt down a neighbor for pliers. 
Not one piece of furniture or picture was wrapped and my furniture was essentially thrown and shoved into a small truck.  I asked serval times what they were doing and they assured me all was good.  I called the owner of the company 3 times during the move to express my concerns and he told me to wait until the end. 
The end result????  6 hours to move furniture.....775.00!!  AND ALMOST EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE BROKEN!!!
I called the owner who was rude and condecending and acted as if this was our fault.  He came to assess the damage and offered me 400.00 and no money back on the move. 
Unfortunately I wouldn't even be able to repair one piece for this price.  When I tried to talk to him about it he was very rude!!

PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY
