Description of Work: Our church has 2 25-ton units that were on the fritz. Mr Flahirity at General was extremely helpful as we determined which unit to replace and how to get a few more years out of the other. His quote came in as the lowest so we hired his company to replace one of the units. Due to the age, the unit had to be specially built by Carrier. Carrier built the unit incorrectly and rather than modify that unit, General A/C made Carrier rebuild another unit. We had to wait a bit longer -- but it was worth it. Because of the size of this job, there were multiple unknown issues that crept up. I am sure these issues cost Mr Flahrity and his company dollars or additional man hours, but he kept to his original quote. The second unit was repaired using parts from the unit we replaced. Mike and his crew did a great job on this second unit -- it now works better than it has in 10 years. We will definitely use General AC again!

+ -1 moreFrom the first time I made my phone call to the office, until the time the repairmen left my house, I felt like General appreciated my business, and they worked hard to earn it. Hard working, honest, small American business. It's the service philosophy this country was built on, tell the truth, do the right thing, and do it well. I felt good about writing them the check. Go American! Go General Heating and Cooling!
Description of Work: Heater would not come on, General came out exactly on time, assessed the situation, and were able to modify a part they had on the truck which saved me money. They treated my house with care, and were courteous and professional. I will need a heating unit replacement after this Winter, I will absolutely go with General.

+ 0 moreAs someone who used to do this type of work many years ago, I couldn't have been more pleased. Bob Batterman and his crew do installations with quality first and speed second. Their aren't a lot of real craftsman left in this fast paced world so General Heating & Cooling should be very proud of the good people they have.
Description of Work: Re-locate 2 furnaces and "A" coils for the A/C. Re-route all ductwork for the downstairs system. Install new ductwork for the upstairs finish out. Re-route refrigerator line sets and test both systems.

Description of Work: My two 20-year old heat & a/c systems went out in July. Since I have used General for service for several years, I shopped them and two other companies for the replacement. General had the best price. The work was done when promised and on time in very professional manner. I am very pleased and highly recommend General Heating & Cooling.

+ -1 moreThey showed up within a day or so of our call in requesting their services. They were very respectful and let us know what they were doing. They didn't have any hidden charges and they didn t leave any mess in our home.
Description of Work: They unclogged the condensation drain on my air conditioning unit.

+ -1 moreWhen the gentleman from General Heating & Cooling came in, he went right over and turned up the thermostat. He waited a couple of minutes and told us he was waiting for the furnace to click on. When it did he didn't hear anything, he said it was probably the blower motor.
Description of Work: They replaced a blower motor on our furnace.
