Geek Squad - Best Buy

On the date of installation, the wireless printer worked; the next day it didn't. My initial call to their "help desk" resulted in being told they couldn't open a new ticket because the technician hadn't closed out the work ticket. After prompting by me since this is a work printer they called the local office and was told they (help desk) would have to send an email. I was told this would take 24 hours (for an email -- please) and someone would contact me. After three days of not hearing, I went into the store and waited for an hour while a Best Buy manager attempted to contact the dispatcher to set up an appointment. Two days later while waiting for my appointment date my printer started working! However, my main complaint against The Geek Squad is their lack of responsiveness. The technician broke my office chair and told me he would report it and a supervisor would contact me. Well two phone calls and one month later and no one has contacted me. Also my scanner doesn't work (part of my printer) and I attempted to do a live contact with The Geek Squad, since I didn't remember my password I indicated that and received a message that instructions for setting a new password would be sent to my email account in a few minutes. Guess what one hour later and still no email. Unfortunately I signed a one year contact and at this point I'm ready to write it off as lost money. If you're in Memphis DO NOT USE THE GEEK SQUAD.

They are called the Geek Squad and they are very good. They were right on time and they were very professional.

Arrived on time and were professional in appearance and the way they did their work. After mounting and leveling the flat screen on the wall I thought it looked a little crooked. Turns out that my chair molding was off a little and not level so they adjusted the flat screen to match the run of the molding.

They were very good, and we can’t complain about anything. The computer was in warranty at that time, so we didn’t have to pay for it.

I would recommend them. The overall experience was good. The price and quality were good. I will continue to use Best Buy in the future.

They are a good place to shop for electronics and DVD's.

They actually had to completely de-program my computer in order to program it to find out what the initial problem was. The guy told me this was common for Gateway computers, although they were of decent quality. They didn't have to use any new parts or replace anything. My computer was under a service contract.

Best Buy did not do to good of a job. As a matter of fact, they could not even fix it at all. I was kind of disappointed with them and probably would not hire them again. I feel that they should have been able to do this for me considering that they are one of the big time companies.

The people at Geek Squad are very knowledgeable. No matter how badly I mess up my computer they can always seem to fix it for me. I just take it there. Sometimes it takes a bit for them to get to it. I am willing to wait as I trust them. They do not make me feel stupid when I have questions. I would recommend them to others.

Best Buy does a great job on our computer every time. We always just drop it off. It is just easier for us so no one has to wait at home for the technician. It is done when promised. I am always satisfied with the service. I would recommend them to others.

I thought that everything that they did was excellent. They are very polite and courteous. They were able to fix the problem in a timely manner.
