GAS & PLUMBING SPECIALIST

I called Rodney trying to get another estimate after another company wanted to charge me $415 - which included new pipes, 2 hrs of work (at $120/hr) and $80 service fee. He asked how much the other company was going to charge - and my mistake, I told him. He went to the house, told me he would fix it for $225, and show me what he would do when I got there. He was at my house no more than 40 minutes. When I got there, he said oh wow this was so simple, all I had to do was tighten the pipe in two places! The other guy really wanted to replace pipes?! Anyhow, he said it would be $225 - or 1/2 what the other guy would charge. I was somewhat baffled because he told me on the phone he charges $83/hr, and asked how he could justify this price. He said it was a JOB which would not go by hourly charges. Fixing a drain, he told me would be 82.50 (+Parts), fixing sewage pipes would be $135. This job was not fairly priced and took advantage of the situation.

Gas & Plumbing Specialists were able to come out the same day we called them. They explained the problem and the cost before beginning any work. It only took them about half an hour to complete the work and the pipes no longer leak.
