Foster Irrigation

I would like to warn everyone about Foster Irrigation. This company is owned and ran by Ryan Foster. My wife and I were in need of a sprinkler system so we did not have to water our flowers and garden daily. Ryan was very prompt to come and give us an estimate. Completion of the job was not on a timely manner. The system that was installed works great. But after the completion of the system, I spoke with Mr. Foster to ask him about the areas that were dug up and when my grass would grow back in. He told me within the month. I was sure, that makes sense. He did not reinstall my black plastic garden barriers in my front garden properly when he installed the system, and he also cracked my driveway when he had to dig underneath the driveway. After review of my front lawn, it looked like golfers or moles had dug tunnels throughout my front lawn. I questioned Mr. Foster about this and he advised that my yard would grow back in, on its own within the month or worst case next season. After a year, I noticed my grass has not grown back in, I called Mr. Foster again and asked him for some suggestions about my lawn, he advised for me to put down my own sod myself under my dime. He also stated that if my grass did not grow back within the next season, he would fix my yard for me. Again, the next summer came, and my grass has still not grown back in. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, so i did put some sod down on some damaged areas, and the grass grew great. I left some bare to see if it would grow back, and it did not. So i contacted Mr. Foster again recently and asked him if we would honor his previous statements about repairing my lawn due to his installation. He told me it was not his responsibility to repair or make sure my lawn grows back in. I questioned him about his word about repairing my yard and his response was that I did not call him last year when he said he would have repaired it. I would text him, and i would not get a response, I would give him a week to respond, but no response, so i texted him again, he finally called me back last night. I spoke with him last night , 4/2/13, he told me that he does not do patch work, he only does full lawns and the he would charge me approximately $1000 to uproot and resod my lawn. I offered a compromise. if he would deduct $200 for two service calls and so I would take that money to buy more sod and lay it down myself. He said if that would make me happy and so we both agreed. I asked him to give it to me in writing, he said No, it is a waste of my time. I offered to write it for him and email it to him and all he needed to do was confirm, he said, NO. then i suggested a text message confirmation. Again he said, NO. He said, he is a man of his word. And that he does not owe me anything and that he was doing this to be nice. He stated that has done over 200 yards in his 6 years of business and all of them have grown in without any problems. We hung up the phone on civil terms. I get a phone call from Mr. Foster this morning, 4/3/13. He retracted his promise from last night. He will no longer honor our previous conversation, and that again, he does not owe me anything. He said he does not need my business and for me to find someone else to service my system. In conclusion, not only did Mr. Foster damage my yard and driveway, and not return my garden barriers properly, he has backed out on two verbal contracts for repair, and retracted a verbal agreement for a deduction of his service. Now, I have to repair my lawn and find a new sprinkler service. I am warning everyone about Mr. Foster's unprofessional-ism. Be ware of his services. Price: C for average Quality : D only because my sprinkler system worked but appearance of my yard left behind was horrific Responsiveness: C because it took multiple text messages or phone calls each time i needed to get a hold of him. response time was not in a timely manner. Punctuality: C because he arrived on time but his crew did not on some days Professionalism: F please see comments
