They came out and said we need coil work done. It did not make my house any cooler and did not solve my problems. They came out 8 different times and were still unable to solve the problem. It turns out that it was a thermostat problem. He put in a switch into the control panel and I saw that he did not put a new control panel in and the ceiling leaked. Monday through Friday they would return my phone calls well but on the weekends they would never return my call. They were fairly punctual. I would NOT use this company again in the future. Land mark heating and air came out and fixed the problem. It turns out the problem was the thermostat and none of the things they claimed. I have used this company in the past when the new owner's father owned the business and the service was excellent. Bobby the tech did hear unit going on/ off before ever going in attic and he removed a switch and said that would solve our problem and a c wouldnt go on / off anymore like it ddi when i had called them. i had called a few places prior to Ferrell as each one was saying something different or prices werent in ball park w/ another co.. Ferrell nEVER EVER took off therm. cover to see that wires were dusty and / or loose. ray was not owner for 38 yrs. his dad owned it umtil a few yrs ago per Bobby the tech as he told me MR FERRELL died a few yrs ago and no one wanted the co. so Ray took it. Rays dad was a lot better bus. man than Ray and I am sorry I ever called Ray as if I had known his dad had died I would of never called Ferrell as a lot of times when sons/ family members inherit a co. they dont run it like the owner/ founder did. the letter he mentioned was written the 1st day they came out here so obviously I wrote it to early as they didnt solve the problem in 8 visits and that is why I didnt let them come back for repair of ceiling . we decided if they couldnt fix a c in 8 visits then we didnt want to take a chance w/ ceiling as it could of been worse than what was. I have reported on several other comp. and they ALL got A's Ferrell is the only one that got an F from us as they did not solve our problem. We feel they were trying to make fast money since Ray was out of town on vac. and his son was running bus. per Bobby. Ray was not here to show us coil as he stated earlier . I believe in cust. service and DO NOT want others to be done wrong as we were as they did not take care of resolution. The two letters I wrote praising his work were written before we realized that our problem was not corrected. After that we sent negative letters because our problem was not corrected.
Description of Work: There was a problem with my airconditioning unit. It would only stay on for a few minutes at a time.

Response from Ferrell & Company Inc
The member called H R Ferrill & Co on 7/28/11 since she had 4 or 5 other cos to her house and was not content with them. One said she needed a coil, another said she needed a control panel to stop the unit from cutting off and on. Our tech Bobby Lanshaw looked at both problems, he pulled the access panels off the coil in attic and found that the 25+yr old coil was rusted out and leaking Freon and water into the pan. We advised the member to replace it since her home is for sale and due to the problems we found. We did not at this time observe the fan cutting off and on, but thought it will just a minor repair if needed. When we replaced the coil, we brought the old one down to the carport and showed the member the condition of the old coil (Enc is her letter indicating what I am telling you. We did come back several times at our expense to correct her old drain line that was leaking into her ceiling. We also replaced her drain pan underneath the new coil. Later, we replaced the control panel to correct the fan from cutting off and on. Also at our own expense (retail cost for that was $450. (I have receipt for the new part), only trying to make her happy. I am glad that Landmark A/C replaced the Tstat, as we had already replaced everything else at our expense, doing our best to make her happy. After being in the HVAC business for 38 yrs, there has only been a few people that I could not please and I believe this member is one of them, although I tried very hard. Did we mention that she told me not to come back to repair the ceiling? I have enclosed all of her correspondence with us.

I am pleased with the work by Ferrell Air. We have done business with them a lot. We have bought many appliances from them and have had no problem getting them to take care of them for us. They stand behind their products. They took care of it quickly at no cost as it was still under warranty.
Description of Work: Ferrell Air repaired our refrigerator that was not keeping the food cool consistently. The food in the back of the refrigerator tended to freeze.
