So far 14 days have passed and i have not heard back from them. They have an answering service. All they do is forward email to contracters. I have called them multiple times and left messages but no one would come back to me. The home warranty company also would not do anything unless this company submits a report. Submitting a complaint.
Description of Work: Highly recommend against this company. Complete lack of regard for the consumers. My first American home warranty company had these guys come over for inspection of heating which was not working. After brief inspection they said that furnaceneeds to be changed.

My mother is the one who had dealings with this company. She discovered her a/c out around 5 a.m. on July 4. She has a home warranty through American Home Shield. As she has breathing problems and other health issues, when she called AHS, she requested the call be put on a emergency status. Expert Heating & Air was the company AHS sent out to assess the problem. They arrived at her home around 5:15 p.m. on July 5. It was determined the the compressor had gone out (on a unit that was replaced 3 years ago through AHS). Therefore, the initial service call went into a warranty issue. My mother was advised that she would hear something from Expert by 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, July 6. After several phone calls to Expert (each time talking with their answering service), and several phone calls with AHS, she was finally told the part should arrive by Monday, July 9. On July 9, after trying to get an update from Expert numerous times, she contacted AHS and advised them that she was having no luck getting anyone with Expert to return her phone calls. AHS apparently notified the owner of the company. She received a phone call from AHS late that evening advising that the part had been ordered, would be shipped on an expedited basis, and should be in within 2-3 days. Still receiving no response to her phone calls to Expert, she again contacted AHS and through them, was advised the part had arrived in Memphis on July 12, Expert would pick it up that day, and they should be able to install the new compressor on Friday, July 13. At 4:30, July 13, she tried to call Expert, getting their answering service. After a reminder that it had now been 10 days since her a/c had gone out, someone called her and told her they were on the way to her house to replace the compressor. They arrived at approximately 5:20 p.m. and had the new compressor installed, freon added and the unit up and running by 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, July 5, when my mother went to her home to meet Expert there for their initial call, it was 102 degrees in her house. She was unable to stay in her home for 10 days. During the entire process, no matter what time she called Expert, whether it was day or night, no matter the day, she always got their answering service. Expert did not return any of her calls when all she was wanting to do was to get an update on what was going on and an idea when she might be able to return to her home.
Description of Work: Expert replaced a compressor in my mother's a/c unit, a unit that was only 3 years old. Expert apparently did not believe in communicating with their customer. Each and every time she called, her calls were answered by their answering service. Each time, she left a message, and her calls were never returned. It took 10 days to replace a compressor, 10 days that my mother was unable to stay in her home. My suggestion is to not utilize this company, especially if there is an emergency situation. Initially, the service tech advised that the capacitor had gone out. After replacing that, the unit still would not work. It was then that they said the compressor had gone out. As this was handled through an American Home Shield warranty contract, the service charge was $75.00. An additional $75.00 was requested by Expert, which was an additional charge for them to remove the old compressor from the home. I could have removed it for my mother for nothing.

I was referred to a man named Cody Smith by a neighbor. I first called him last fall to assess some problems we were experiencing with our A/C not cooling. He came out and looked at the system, but recommended that we wait until the spring to deal with it since the temperature was already starting to cool. I contacted him a few weeks ago and asked him to come out. He initially made an appointment with me for a Friday afternoon at 4:30. He did not show for that appointment and did not call. I contacted him the following day and arranged for the same appointment the following Friday. He showed up one hour late for this appointment, again without a call. He identified that the system needed to be flushed to check for a freon leak. He asked us when we would like for him to come back out and we said Monday. He stated he would call Monday morning to arrange a time. Monday arrived and he did not call. I called him around 9 or 10 and he stated that it would be the afternoon before he could come out. He never called that afternoon. I called and left messages for him on Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday. He never returned any of those calls. I highly recommend that you do not waste your time using this service.
