I called Excellent Roofing to get an estimate on repairs. They were already planning to visit another homeowner in my area, so they were able to come to my house within 30 minutes of the call. You can't get any speedier service than that! After looking at my skylights, John agreed that the wisest thing to do would be to try to re-seal them and see if that would work; if not, he would apply the repair cost to the cost of replacing the skylights if the repair did not stop the leaks. Another vendor probably would have insisted on trying to sell me new skylights, so I commend John for recommending what he felt was the most practical and cost-effective thing to do. Cost was $250 (minimum repair cost) plus $20 for the sealant.

I couldn't have imagined what a great job excellent roofing did. A huge crew that worked long hours and did their jobs to perfection. Everything was so professional, clean-up was incredible and the house looks better than new. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the quality of work and the results.

Workers arrived on time and got started. Travis kept me informed on progress and on any additional work that was required. They did a great job, and left the area cleaner than how they found it. We now have the best looking roof in the neighborhood. Travis did such a great job when we needed some repairs a couple of years ago that it was a no-brainer to call him for the complete roof when it was time.

I have used Travis' services in the past. I called Travis after a recent storm had deposited some limbs on my roof. Travis removed the limbs and cleaned and inspected to roof. After all of the leaves are down, Travis will return to clean the roof, replace damaged shingles and replace a damaged vent pipe. The personal attention received from Travis is always appreciated.

I can't say enough good things about Travis! He and his workers were prompt and did a great job. He had to come back to put up another piece after we replaced some rotted wood. Summer got away from me and when I finally made my repairs and called him back, he came right away to finish the job. In the past Travis replaced some shingles on the roof of the house. When other companies tried to talk me into a new roof, Travis was able to do a very nice repair. He offers great work, great customer service, and is trustworthy.

I was very pleased with the whole process. They put tarps in my attic to catch debris, did not make a mess when tearing off my old roof, cleaned up around the house very well and even did a follow up visit and cleaned again. Sometimes John is a little difficult to get ahold off but he always returns your calls.

The workers performed all work in a timely, professional manner. They arrived when promised and maintained the job site in a clean and order state.

Unbelievable. All other sp reffered didnt do a good job and chraged to much. These guys did before and after photographs, checked on the crew and was super professional and curteous. Did even more than what the estimate said. Didnt charge extra for the extra repairs. Came at 6pm and continued working even in the dark. Cam back and never damaged the flower beds and always cleaned their garbage up. Helped out around the house like a handyman would without charging extra. Was quick to respond and even offered a second estimate when I said I didnt want gutter guards. Im hiring again for some interior damage to be fixed. Excellent Roofing is exactly that, excellent.

Travis is a true pro. He did a great job communicating, and following up when we had questions prior to starting the work. Can't say enough about the quality of the job he and his crew did in replacing our old roof. Travis personally supervises his crew from start to when the job is finished. Did exactly what the contract stated and then did extra at no charge to complete the job.

They have great equipment that keeps your home and yard clean and damage free. If I had a question or concern John promptly answered my questions or any concerns I may have brought to his attention. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Interestingly, I had initially, contracted with another (Nameless) company and after giving them the go ahead to do the job simply never showed up to do the work. It hired Excellent Roofing and John was prompt and delivered when he gave his word to do something. I must admit I was thrilled when the Nameless company finally decided to do the job a month AFTER the agreed upon start date and I got the pleasure to tell them "nevermind, I've hired somebody else'!!! Can you believe that other company was mad at me? I would recommend Excellent Roofing to my friends and family.

They showed up on time each of the three days it took to install the new roof. They were very thorough in setting up to protect our property. They replaced a gutter they damaged by accident. John's crew did an excellent job installing our roof. He had the best price and the best warranty. They even came back a couple of days after the work was done to make sure all the clean up work was complete.

They were great. They installed our roof in the hottest weather but got it done. They cleaned everything up after the job was done and the new roof looks great.

Travis arrived at the agreed upon time and repaired two leaks in my roof. At the same time he noticed some shingles sliding down and fastened those back down for me as well. The next weekend we had rain and one leak was completely stopped, but the other still dripped. I called Travis and he came back out and took another look and sealed some more spots. Hopefully, it is taken care of now. My roof is not far from needing to be replaced, but Travis did what he could to buy me a little more time before I have to get it done. I will definitely call him when its time to replace it. Quality guy, quality job. Thanks!

Excellent job from start to finish. Travis is straightforward and upfront about all work and expenses. He won't be the lowest quote but if value and quality are a priority look no further. He and crew are experienced, professional, and responsive to customer needs.

John was very professional, and honest. He actually saved me money by telling me the roof was repairable and did not need to be replaced yet! He also made my repairs a priority since the roof had a leak and rain was moving back into the area in only 48 hours. He gave me an estimate on Wednesday, and did the reparis on Thursday. He also sent me pictures of all the repairs so I knew they had actually done ther work. I would absolutely recommend them, and will be calling them again when the time comes to replace the roof.

Excellent Roofing did a tremendous job on replacing my roof. John was always quick to respond to any questions I had. He brought samples for us to lay on the roof to make our decision process a little easier. John?s crew arrived exactly when they said they would, and they continued to work very hard until they completed the job. They originally estimated 2 days for my roof replacement, but they completed the in around 10 hours, and they did an amazing job. We received many estimates from various roofing companies before deciding to hire Excellent Roofing. I?m very glad we did our research, and didn't just hire the first contractor that came out to give us an estimate, and make big claims about what their company could do for us. We even received one estimate that didn't include a tear off at all because we only had a single layer of shingles. I?m so glad we opted to tear off the old roof because whoever put the old roof on didn't use any underlayment at all which explains why we were having so many leaks on the ceiling. Of all of the estimates we received John is the ONLY one who thought of things that really needed to be done that none of the others thought of. They painted all of our pipes and electrical masts to match the roof, and give it a very nice clean look. They removed all four of our static vents and turbine vent, and installed a nice looking ridge vent for us. Even though our county doesn't require drip edges to be installed we went ahead and had them installed for extra protection. That being said, a review wouldn't be an honest review if I left out anything I've noticed after the roof was installed, right? I've only noticed 3 things so far after they completed the job that I will explain: 1. Several loose roofing nails around the house and on the roof. 2. The ridge vent above the garage looks like they ran out of material by about 1 foot. 3. A nail stuck under a shingle where the shingle wouldn't lay down correctly Even though I think Excellent Roofing went above and beyond when it came to replacing my roof, my daughter has found several roofing nails in our driveway around our cars. John?s crew did use leaf blowers and blow my entire driveway, so it seems odd that she would find as many as she has. Thankfully, none of us have had any tires go flat yet, but I haven?t inspected any of our tires closely. I decided to go ahead and blow our driveway myself this weekend, and I only found a couple more. However, I also thought I would go ahead and clean the entire cove since they parked most of their vehicles in the cove. I found several more nails in the cove, so I?m glad I cleaned it as well. I haven?t been up on the roof to inspect it after they completed the job, but I decided to do it yesterday, which was only 6 days after they completed the job. I think I know where the nails are coming from. The roof was covered in loose nails, but I?m going to get up there and clean them all up before anymore show up in the driveway. Nobody is perfect, and I certainly wouldn't expect them to have found and cleaned up every single nail. No other roofing company would be any different. As for the ridge vent, this is my first experience with them, so I don?t have much knowledge about them to know exactly why they are installed the way they are. So, for all I know they installed it the way it was meant to be installed. It just looks funny that the ridge vent stopped about a foot short of the wall, but is complete everywhere else. And, as for the nail under the shingle, I just lifted up the shingle enough that I could pull the nail out so the shingle doesn't get damaged. I?m sure the shingle will lay back down after it heats up from the sun. I have no complaints about Excellent Roofing, and would hire them again in a second. If anyone ever talks to me about needing a new roof installed or repaired Excellent Roofing is the only company that would come to mind, and I would tell anyone to use them because of how professional they were, and the customer service is top notch which goes a long way these days. I feel very comfortable that should any issues come up in the next few years, that John and his team would do everything they can to fix them. UPDATE: Shortly after posting the review John called and quickly sent over someone to cleanup the roof and make sure the shingle that had a wood nail under it wasn't damaged at all. As for the ridge vent, there wasn't an issue with the amount of material. It was installed correctly by design. This is a perfect example of how great Excellent Roofing is. John is an extremely hard worker, and runs a great business because he takes time to reach out to his customers and make sure they are happy with the job his team has done. When you need any kind of roof work done on your home, call John. You won't be disappointed.

John was very helpful and was open and honest during the whole process. He came to our house in the evening to show us samples. We were his first Arkansas customer and he had no problems dealing with the local permit laws. We actually had one contractor from Memphis who refused our business because they didn't want to deal with local permit laws. John on the other hand welcomed it and said that Memphis should have a similar ordinance because it helps keep out the riff raff. The guys on the job were courteous and did a good job of cleaning up afterward. They also were honest with me when they broke a vent pipe. They sent a guy to the store, bought the replacement part and installed it at their cost. I would definitely recommend Excellent Roofing to anybody who needs a new roof.

Travis Key and his workers did an excellent job replacing my roof. Travis came to my house a few months ago to repair some missing shingles. At the time, I asked him to provide me a proposal for a new roof. He wrote me up a very detailed proposal. Before getting my roof done I asked Travis a lot of questions, and Travis was more than happy to answer all of them. He never pressured me in any way or tried to sell me anything. Travis was able to show me many houses with roofs that he installed. This was helpful to me as I was able to see the different color shingles on entire houses. I was also able to see the high quality of his work. He was also more than happy to invite me to his supplier, so that I could get free shingles to show my neighbors to see what they think. I was impressed with how comfortable and professional my encounters with the owner of this company were going, and decided to hire this company, Travis and his crew arrived to install the new roof. Through out the process, Travis was on the job site, supervising his workers and making sure I was happy with the process. I was not charged more than was agreed upon. In fact I was upgraded to a higher quality impact resistant shingle, at no additional charge. There was also some wood that was replaced at no additional charge. Travis could have tried to charge me more for these things. He was also more than happy to accept the Angie's list coupon. This is a very honest roofer who takes a LOT of pride in his work. He and his men are more concerned with quality than in cutting costs. They may not be the least expensive, but it is important to me that the workers be licensed and insured and not using cheap materials. I would be more than happy to hire his company again.
