Description of Work: From start to finish a great job. Our new roof and gutters not only function, but look great. Jimmy went out of his way to help us choose the right shingle in the right color. The addition of dark gutters made an improvement in the overall look of our house. Both roof and gutter teams were professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: Excellent Roofing was truly excellent! We had a BIG job and they performed beyond expectation. The crew was there everyday (with the exception of Sunday) from morning through late evening. Michael was our main contact during the project, he was extremely helpful and in constant communication with us. We had a COMPLETE roof replacement; all the decking, shingles, and even some rafters were replaced. Their price was reasonable for the amount of work done and for the performance. I would definitely recommend!

+ -1 moreWe had to put a new roof on our house to sell it. The owner of Excellent Roofing returned our phone calls promptly and kept us informed at every step during the process. The crew was prompt, professional, did what they said they would and did it on time. I was concerned because there is a lot of landscaping around the house but Excellent Roofing performed the work without any damage to the landscaping and did an excellent job cleaning up. We are recommending them to all of our friends.

+ 1 moreVery professional from start to finish. John Bennett took plenty of time to explain all options and was very knowledgeable. Estimate was accurate and fair for the work involved. Work was started and completed as promised. Kept us updated on all phases of the work. John has his own crew and the work went quickly and smoothly. Excellent thorough cleanup. Gave us all necessary forms and paperwork to get tax credit for the Solaris shingles and solar fans. We are extremely pleased with our new roof and gutters. Highly recommended and we would definitely use Excellent Roofing again.
Description of Work: Complete removal of old roof that had been improperly installed. Replaced a lot of rotten wood. Installed Solaris shingles and solar-powered attic fans. Also, replaced all gutters and installed Berger gutter shingles.

+ 0 moreVery good experience - the estimate was more than I wanted to spend, however it has been a long time since I had replaced a roof. Jon recommended solar attic fans, and I was comfortable with this recommendations. Huge crew worked on the project supervised by a foreman.
Description of Work: They lived up their name - started as promised, kept the property clean, worked quickly and professionally, and left the property and attic cleaner than when they started. Roof looks great. Purchased Solaris architectural roofing shingles, which pushed price up, but very satisfied with the job. They finished in 2.5 days.

Review their bid carefully and you will see the difference between this company and others. They showed up with all needed materials. They made sure the house was protected every evening in the event it rained. The crew worked til after dark each evening. I know a little about roofing and Excellent, John, Jose and Karl and the rest of the crew are the best. They have enough people that they get it done as fast as possible. They really took sufficient time to replace bad and rotten wood, replace flashing correctly.

+ -1 moreI told John (the owner) I was pretty flexible on when the job would start. Having been in the remodeling business in the past, I know a customers flexibility in scheduling can be a real help. On the day of installation there was a scheduling mess up with the roofing tile supplier and the materials didn't show up until around noon. This threw the team WAY behind schedule but Excellent has a huge (mostly english speaking) crew on hand to knock it out. Our house is around 2500 sf with steeply pitched roof but the crew finished in one day/night. Ultimately they didn't get done hammering until 9pm. Yes, THAT annoyed me, but I believe the intent was to honor a promise to me (one day) and remain on schedule for the following day's customer. It's been a year and we haven't had any issues that I've called Excellent Roofing about. Good work by a company with properly trained and insured employees will cost a bit more than the "Lowest Price in Town" companies.
Description of Work: Bought a house in Cordova with original (19 year old) roof. It was in pretty good shape without any curling but I there was enough evidence to suggest it wasn't going to make it another 5 and I didn't want to wait a year or two and have to do a total tear off. I called four roofing companies for quotes. All were surprisingly responsive but John's extra attention was noteworthy. As I continued to research the different roofing companies I found many positive remarks about Excellent Roofing. I also loved the completeness of their website and was very impressed that Excellent Roofing's Insurance information was posted for all the world to verify. John's roofing quote was competitive but not the least expensive, but unlike some others - he actually crawled all over the roof and measured it vs. "guesstimates from the yard". I was candid with him regarding his higher price and instead of just cutting the price to get the deal, he explained why his price was probably a little higher (less than 5-7% higher). He knew his business, cost structure and investment in his people. I figured a guy who knew his business that well was probably going to be around for a while compared to construction contractors in my old home town who seemed to change companies every few years to disavow their work or simply couldn't administer business very well.

All workers were professional and cleaned up the area daily. John (the owner) was very upfront about his costs and provided invoices on all supplies. John is very accessible to answer questions and really is wonderful with customer services. Quality and ethics seem very important to him.

+ -1 moreWe were right about our perception of John and his company. His workers obviously respect him and value their jobs. They worked non-stop (except for lunch) from early morning until dark. They were very careful of our property and cleaned up every evening. (One guy's job was to walk around with a big magnet collecting lost roofing nails.) Not only did John's demeanor convince us of his ability, but he has a special system of disposal that really protects your yard and landscaping. It's called a Roofers Buggy (google it). My best description is a small version of a dumpster that is self-propelled and with hydraulics can rise to the gutter height so materials can be disposed with minimum damage to your plants and yard. For 63 squares, it took them, two and a half days, including ridge vents. Excellent Roofing exceeded our expectations & I d definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Tear off existing roof and install new roof shingles and ridge vents. Used GAF TIMBERLINE 30 AR shingles, TIMVERTEX high profile hip/ridge cap, GAF WEATHERWATCH moisture guard in all valleys, GAF SHINGLEMATE premium felt underlayment, installing aluminum drip edge around entire eave, new pipe boots, cleaning and caulking all flashing, painting pipes and flashing to match roof. Estimate included all labor, steep roof allowance, dumpster, cleanup, and complimentary attic vacuum. Included GAF SMART CHOICE SYSTEM PLUS WARRANTY. All work has a 2 year standard warranty for workmanship. John offered to nail up samples to allow us to pick a color. He is licensed and bonded and his workers have workers comp.
