Travis Kee is by far the best roofer I've ever encountered. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation. He fixed a chronic leak over my porch that two other roofers were unable to diagnose. He gave me several options on temporary fixes in case financing might be a problem. Work was accomplished quickly and professionally. He was very concerned with the quality and cleanliness of his work. He gave me a no-cost, 3-year unconditional guarantee. If you need a roofer, this is your man.

They got in touch with me immediately after my first call. They couldn't get to me right away because of all the storm damage in Memphis but told me they'd call me in a week. They did and came over that day. Once on the roof they realized I had nail holes that were letting in water. Rather than take up shingles, a time consuming and expensive process, they glued the holes shut in a matter of minutes and only charged me the price of the call out fee.

The Excellent Roofing supervisor and staff arrived exactly at the time we had agreed upon and started working immediately. They added the amount of insulation agreed upon and actually used 2 more bags than estimated, but I was not charged for the overage amount. The job took 4 hours as estimated beforehand. They thoroughly cleaned up their work area when completed. Their staff was very courteous and professional.

After a delay of several weeks returning my call and my complaint on AL, John the owner apologized and said he was grateful for the feedback and has begun assigning inquiries a number so customers will know they haven't been forgotten. The crew was out the next day. Great job! No complaints.

I emailed Mr. Kee on May 19th and he called me back within hours. He was out the next day for an estimate and left great samples to choose the colors. I contracted his services on the 24th and he had the shingles sitting in my driveway the Friday before Memorial day weekend. His crew was out there bright and early Tuesday morning and by6 PM that evening they had taken off all the old shingles, put down the felt and had it reshingled. They made sure to put down tarps to catch all the old roofing material, cleaned up everything and even went around with a very large magnet to get any stray nails. My son had his non-running car parked close to the working area and Mr. Kee had his men push it back so it would not have anything fall on it while they took off the roof. The material he used was all top quality and he replaced all damaged boards on the roof for just the cost of the wood. I would highly recommend Kee Roofing to anyone looking for any roof work, big or small. My roof looks fantastic!

I have never had a better experience with any service provider in my life. He was on time, super friendly and courteous, very knowledgeable and professional, has a no pressure and honest approach to giving you your options on the task at hand, gave a more than fair price quote, and basically went above and beyond to take care of my issue. He explained things to me, answered any questions I had, etc. I never felt pressured to go any certain route with the work as he presented everything in an upfront and honest manner. I know that his concern really is to help people in an area that he is very knowledgeable about and not to just make money. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Travis Kee. I will never use anyone else for my roofing needs and I would recommend him to everyone. I was on Facebook raving about him 10 minutes after he left my house. People like this deserve all the business I can send them. I've never been happier with any service provider. He exceeded my expectations a thousand times over. His kindness and genuine concern and generosity literally left me tearing up when I thanked him. What might have seemed like a small act of kindness to him, was a big deal to someone like me who is trying to fix a home that's falling apart with very little money and noone to help her. It not only gave me hope that I will finally be able to take care of this problem, but it was also a nice reminder that there are still some good people in the world who sincerely want to help others. Make no hesitation in your decision to hire Travis Kee. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. I'd also like to remind everyone that it is hard to find roofers who will handle repairs like leaks. Everything I read online said to use Travis Kee and I am so glad that I did. Do not bother looking any further. Seriously. Call him first and he will take care of you quickly and at a fair price. He's also just a really cool guy who's very down to earth, personable, and trustworthy - which also makes him the perfect contractor for longer jobs like roofing an entire house, where you are dealing with the person for an extended amount of time. He's very pleasant to deal with and in my opinion, you could not find someone better. Travis Kee is the total package when it comes to service, price, experience, etc.

I called late on a Saturday afternoon expecting to get a machine and was quite surprised when Travis answered the phone. I gave him general information and was given a quote based on the information I provided. As requested, I called Travis back on Monday morning and he and Carl were on site within just a few hours. The entire repair took about 15 to 30 minutes and I was billed less than the original quote. I have already referred him to a co-worker and will definitely be calling him in the future should the need arise.

Researched available reports on Angie's List (AL) initially. The primary reason for joining the list was to avoid an extensive selection process on this project. Three potential candidates were considered based on their ratings on AL. Reports were read and then website content was similarly reviewed. Contractor selection was based on the following criteria: * Several reports noted positive experiences with large scope projects involving existing roof tear-off. * Specialized equipment specifically designed for removal and disposal of large quantities of debris - this was a key factor * Minimal damage reported to have incurred to yard & landscaping within reports * Responsiveness and attention to detail in the project planning phase * Ability to deploy a large enough crew to get the job knocked out quickly, efficiently & with minimal disruption - 2nd key factor Initially contacted Excellent roofing via email and followed up by phone. David was assigned as our project manager. We worked through several proposal scenarios and options. Due to the cost it was initially considered to postpone the project for a year. However effects of recent storms made it apparent it needed to be done sooner rather than later. Options were finalized and final proposal drafted. A list of specific tasks was submitted to be included within the contact prior to signing; about 10 items. All were accepted and included as non-cost adders. Preselection of color samples were applied to the existing roof and final selection confirmed that day. Start date was delayed several days due to heavy rains. Once the crews began work the speed at which they moved through the job was impressive. The work was basically completed in 3 days. This is especially noteworthy considering 55 cubic yards of roof debris had to be removed & disposed of. Crew started mid-day on a Wednesday. Inspection walk-thru was completed that Friday afternoon. Corrective actions (short list) were communicated that same evening. Those were completed Saturday AM just prior to the next rain event in the afternoon. Clean-up was thorough. The decking consists of 1x slats so much debris fell down into the attic areas. These access areas were cleaned up as well. Would we use them again? Absolutely and another potential job has already been briefly discussed with them. Both John the owner and David were professional in their communications & interface with us. It should be noted that the price ranking selection was intentionally left selected as N/A. The project was not "price shopped" even though a more competitive bid may likely have been obtainable. Price on this job was high and that is acknowledged. Premium grade material selection contributed to that to a significant degree. Considering the particular challenges involved there was an immediate sense that this company could meet the primary criteria listed above; i.e. quality, speed, efficiency & minimal disruption. They delivered & the roof looks great. We were dreading this task and they made it relatively painless.

First, I called 10 different roofing companies, including Kee. One of the remaining 9 told me it would cost $500.00 just to tarp the roof. Every other roofing contractor on Angie's List said "We don't do roof repair. Call Travis Kee at Kee Roofing." They could not have given me better advice. Travis showed up the same day we called, inspected the problem, and repaired it quickly at a very reasonable price. Two days later, when my insurance adjuster inspected the job, he told me it was "perfect". THIS FROM AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER!!! Don't get me wrong, but when someone whose job is to find faults says something is "perfect" that really carries weight in my opinion of the contractor. Travis Kee called before he came, arrived early, inspected and fixed the problem quickly. That makes punctuality, skill and speed. Three out of three ain't bad folks. I would not only call him for any future repairs, but when it comes time for a new roof, guess who I'm calling?

From beginning to end was a very short time and that is exactly what I needed. I feel like Travis cared about the problem I was experiencing and was willing to help me by getting to the location quickly and offering a detailed explanation of what I was dealing with. It is this professionalism, speed, and attention to detail that I appreciate so much but above all...the speed of responding to my needs was what really made working with Travis A+!

We were very pleased with the new roof put on by Excellent Roofing. We thought the price was fair and the workmanship was excellent. Even though a line of storms came up in the middle of the roofing job, David and his crew were very careful to make sure that the portions of the roof that were then exposed were covered before the rain started. Also they did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job was done.

We purchased an old house with a new roof and chimney. There was a leak around the chimney which the roofers blamed on the chimney and the chimney guy blamed on the roofers. The roof was under warranty and the roofers made a sloppy "repair" by slapping some caulk and tar on the chimney. We got second opinions from another chimney company and Kee roofing and both agreed it was the improper/incomplete installation of moisture guard/flashing around the chimney. We were in for a series of big storms and the original roofers were unavailable. Kee was so professional and courteous in their initial evaluation that we decided it would be better to pay for them to do the job correctly than fight with the original roofers for a half a** fix under the warranty. Kee came out in a timely manner and completed the job in one day. The job included 1) reshingle and flash chimney 2) replace roof decking 3) install moisture guard 4) also fixed some issues on our garage free of charge. I got home from work late and at our request Travis Kee came out personally to review the work with me and waited patiently while I saw to the dogs. The workmanship was tidy and precise and the materials used appeared to be of high quality. We feel the money was well spent in that there was a timely, permanent, and very aesthetically pleasing repair and that our possessions are now safe from the elements. Mr. Kee is relatively new to Angie's list, but I anticipate that he will continue to accumulate many positive reviews. In summary, A+ highly recommend.

Great experience. Quality work. Large job completed in five days. Clean up very complete. Crew was courteous and professional. The owner, Travis Kee, spent a substantial amount of time advising us on the process, and helped us select the most appropriate shingle for our home. We were very particular about the color and look of the shingle, and he provided several samples and sent us to other homes to see what they looked like.

The company was incredibly professional and responsive. I called John explaining that I had insulation and ventilation issues in my attic. He was the only one of all the estimates I got that took the time to not just say "we need to add more insulation" but also looked looked at what would be the most recommend solution such as adding the soffit vents (as we did not have near enough). The work crew took great care to be clean and careful when they had to come through the house and was very professional. Overall a great experience.

Our insurance company had approved a new roof for our home as a result of wind/hail damageI, and I obtained estimates from 5 different roofing companies in the area. It was very clear early in the process that Excellent Roofing's professionalism and responsiveness was head and shoulders above the other companies I was working with to obtain estimates. David from Excellent Roofing came out within an hour of my initial call and initiated creating an estimate. He was the only roofing professional of the 5 companies I worked with to ask to explore the attic and assess the current ventillation. I was very impressed with their approach to ensure that they install quality products designed to optimize roofing performance. Excellent Roofing also uses some awesome technology that is widely accepted as providing the most accurate measurement of roof dimensions. This tool proved very valuable in working with my insurance company to address an initial error made by the insurance adjustor in calculating the square footage of my roof. It made life easy for me as Excellent Roofing worked behind the scenes to solve the issue with our insurance, and even my adjustor called to say that Excellent Roofing was highly professional and had all the proper documentation to make his life easy as well in approving an additional $1100 for repairs. Roger, with Excellent Roofing then came out and thoroughly reviewed the proposal with us, describing the specifics around materials, etc. Roger was also highly professional and knowledgeable and it was very clear at this point that we wanted Excellent Roofing replacing our roof. We signed a contract for the work to be performed, and both Roger and David communicated with me regularly during the latter part of December to keep me informed on a potential start date as we had a couple of very rainy and cold weeks that played havoc. During this time, Excellent Roofing came out and hung three different colors of shingles for my wife and I to select. I was realistically thinking it would probably be early January before we might be able to have the project started, but David called me on 12-23 and let me know that they would plan to begin the project on Monday 12-27. As promised, they arrived on time and ready to go. John, the site manager, immediately introduced himslef and described their plan of action to get started. I was extremely pleased with the amount of preparation that went into protecting our lnadscaped areas around the house. They covered everything with large tarps and were very careful to protect our trees and shrubs. The tear-off of our old roof was performed quickly and our yard was kept very clean and clear of debris as a ground crew was constantly hauling off debris. Once the old roof was off, new felt, and a drip edge were installed, as well as leak barrier in the valleys and such. Our new roof looked great as it went on and the quality of the installation was evident in the level of detail that each member of the crew contributed. The end product is beautiful, and I have the peace of mind in knowing it was done right. In addition, Excellent roofing improved our existing roof ventillation, and I feel we will definitely recognize the benefits of this improvement in the warmer months ahead. I would highly recommend Excellent Roofing to anyone looking for a quality roofing company. The professionalism and integrity of the people I dealt with, along with their knowledge and responsiveness made for a very enjoyable process. Excellent Roofing demonstrated a strong desire to ensure that the job was done accurately and in alignment with my expectations. I am very pleased with the finished product and the warranty that Excellent Roofing provides to stand behind its work!

I reported previously that this company did not follow-up on a proposal request, but I now have one in hand. It was nothing more than a communication problem involving an incorrect e-mail address. My subsequent meeting with them was very informative and professional.

Overall the experience was good. They are very professional.

We got 4 estimates for a new roof, of which Excellent was the last one. All 4 were listed A+ in Better Business Bureau with no complaints for 3 years. All 4 had decent recommendations from other customers and had been in business at least a reasonable amount of time to build up a reputation. Even though Excellent had the second highest bid, we chose them because of their good Angie's List rating, the 7-year workmanship warranty (longer than the other companies), and the service we received from the knowledgeable staff. It just felt right. Roger and John were very accommodating and nailed several shingle colors to our roof so we could make a color decision. The crew appeared very proficient and did what appears to be a quality job. They came back at our request to adjust the gutters and seemed to care about making every detail just right.

They just gave me the bid and didn?t do the work. They were good in terms of showing up on time. They were fine and came out when they said they would come out. If the roof doesn?t last for a long time, then I would have them come back to give me a bid again.

They can tear off 2 - 3 layers and put on a new roof in 2 days!!! A have a lot of roof square footage because my home is all on one level and includes an attached garage, detached garage, and sunroom. John Bennett is the owner of this company and he is awesome to work with! He is extremely knowledgable, trustworthy, accessable, and easy to work with. He is also patient. He actually put several roof samples on my house so that I could get and idea of how the colors would look. He did this several times before I even signed a contract with him. I received several bids prior to choosing a roofer and none of the other roofers went so far as to put large shingle samples on the house so I could get a good idea of how the colors look at different times of day. They put on my roof in 2 days and cleaned everything up perfectly. Not only that, he has his own large trash bin that the workers drive away at the end of each work day. Two houses on my block took 1 and 2 weeks to have their roof replaced and the trucks did not have any company logos like Excellent roofing and they had large trash bins in front of their homes the whole time. Now, Excellent Roofing was not the lowest bid I received. But I am convinced I got the best service and workmanship. One year later and still no problems. I have already recommened Excellent Roofing to two other people and my neighbors love the roof.

I had a very good experience with John and his team. I am an anxious consumer, especially if the price is high -- but something about John was very reassuring. Good estimate/all materials detailed out. He was the only one to nail samples of shingle to my roof, so that I could pick the right color shingle. The team showed up early - worked really hard for two days and the roof was finished. It looks beautiful. No problems at all. They even painted the inside of the porch for me (no charge). Very thorough, excellent work.

EXCELLENT! John came out to look at my roof and answer all of my questions at the scheduled time despite the threat of inclement whether and fading sunlight. He was very thorough and informative and explained possible places where a leak was ruining my garage. When I got my insurance company involved, he made a special trip to meet with me and the insurance adjuster to make sure my best interests were served and the adjuster did not try to talk his way out of the claim. The adjuster agreed with John and agreed to replace my roof! Without him there to help, I'm sure the problem would have only been temporarily solved. We then scheduled an installation date. His crew came right on time and finished in two days! We were able to upgrade our shingle type, install three new attic fans, and open our garage ceiling up for attic access all for the cost of insurance replacement. It is incredible how he was able to work all of the upgrades and give us a discount to minimize our out of pocket expenses. (deductible +$400) He came by personally to supervise the crew and was available to answer any questions I had, and inform me of their progress. His crew cleaned up completely and left nothing behind. The only way to tell they had come was our wonderful new roof. The second night we had the roof a major thunderstorm came through and it was the first night in the house I could sleep soundly during a storm, not worrying about the roof leaking everywhere. That kind of piece of mind is priceless. I know if I need any kind of roof repairs, or help with general work, I will be calling him first. I highly recommend him and his company for all of your roofing needs.

The project went very well. We've only had 1 big rain storm but the roof seems to hold up well. The group is very well organized. They appear to be very professional and knowledgeable in their field, especially compared to other bids I received. They also offer top notch equipment making clean up quick and easy. You don't find roofing materials lying around your yard as typically expected. The price was very competitive. I am impressed so far. The owner negotiates everything, he doesn't have any subcontractors. I find this extremely unusual in a roofing company. They are constantly going to classes offered by the shingle makers to keep up to date. Consequently, the owner has certifications other companies may not provide. They bring their whole crew for each project and typically complete the work the same day. They take their work seriously and it clearly shows in the quality of their work. They offer more services/suggestions than your average company. You easily feel confident in their abilities. *I put responsiveness as N/A as I have them coming back for 1 additional project. Though it's easy to assume they will deserve an A.
