Excellent Roofing LLC

We had an old roof that had started leaking above our kitchen. Since the roof was old we decided to replace the roof rather than just fix the area of the leak. We looked on Angie's list and called several roofers who had A ratings. The ones we chose to call also had A to A- ratings with the Better Business Bureau. Travis Kee called back the same day and came out to look at the roof to see what would be involved in the repair. He went on the roof to get the measurements and let us know exactly what needed to be done. He agreed that the siding needed to be repaired at the same time as the replacement of the roof so that the flashing would be installed properly and there would not be damage to a new roof if done at another time (one of the other roofers we called was unwilling to repair the siding). Mr. Kee was prompt in e-mailing a proposal the same evening. After looking over all the proposals from the roofers we contacted, we decided to use Kee Roofing because of his promptness and the cost for the work being done (he was not the lowest nor was he the highest bid). The roof had two layers of shingles and the workers were able to scrape off the old shingles of the second storyand discovered that there was no underlayment below the original roof. They replaced damaged decking and hammered in nails so there was a completely flat surface to work on. They removed the gutters and installed the underlayment and new shingles on the second level the first day. The second day the workers replaced the old siding with Hardi-Plank and painted it as well as the louver on the roof which they had scraped off the old paint. This was painted with two coats of primer/paint. They also scraped the old shingles on the lower level above the kitchen/carport area and replaced with underlayment and new shingles. A water and ice shield was installed in all valleys and roof to wall transitions. One of the workers notice a loose vent pipe and told the job supervisor Carl, who investigated where the pipe led and what it was for. He asked to check out where the pipe led in the attic and noticed it had worked loose from the cross pipe and reconnected and glued the two together. New aluminum pipe boots were installed and the boots and pipes were all painted to match the shingle color. When all the work was finished the area was swept magnetically for nails. They did a total cleanup and hauled all trash to the dump. All the work was completed in 2 days. The work was done in a thorough, timely and efficient manner. Travis Kee came by frequently to check on the progress of the work the first day even though he had the flu. The second day he was present to supervise until all the work was completed. We would highly recommend Kee Roofing.

I knew I had missing shingles and needed someone to check the roof. I reviewed roofers on Angie's list and decided to contact Kee Roofing. I emailed early (6a) and Travis called me by 7:30a that day. He was able to check my roof the next day. When he looked at the roof he also found missing pipe boot flashing which he replaced. The repair was completed on the day we had scheduled, I appreciated the fact that he inspected the roof and found that missing flashing. I will definitely call Kee Roofing again.

Travis Kee called me within one hour of my request. I told him what I needed, he quoted me $75 and said that he could do the work the following morning. He arrived the following morning and completed the work in about 30 minutes. I wrote him a check for his work, $75. He thanked me, gave me his card and said that he would happy to do whatever other home maintenance I may need in the future. I would hire Travis Kee again because I was very satisified with the service that he performed.

We called this company because of it's excellent reviews on Angie's List and based on a recommendation by another roofer who was unable to get to us and repair our leaks before the next rain. I initially spoke to Wes who had to place me on hold while he checked to see if they were doing roof repairs at this time. Then he explained that they were and there would be a $75 service call fee to assess the problem and a $300 minimum charge (to which the $75 would be applied). I called back after discussing the terms with my husband and spoke to a very nice lady who again explained the charges, etc. She stated that someone would call us and make an appointment. After we did not hear from anyone for several hours, we scheduled with another company. It took 28 hours for this company to call us just to make an appointment. As we had already contacted another company we did not respond. They called back about 20 hours later and we explained that the situation had been resolved and suggested a better response time might have gotten them the job. As it was, we got excellent service from another company at almost half the cost.

Initially I submitted an email directly from Angie's List to Kee Roofing. Within minutes I received a call back from the Owner, Travis Kee. We set an appointment for the next business day for Mr. Kee to come to our home and inspect our roof. He actually walked and inspected our roof himself! Soon after he returned his printed estimate to us in a very professional portfolio that contained a lot of informative information that explained exactly what materials he would use on our project. After getting another estimate from a contractor who didn't return my call for two days, didn't physically walk our roof and who's estimate was considerably more....we selected Kee Roofing for our project. The whole project was completed in one day...which I never thought would be possible! Mr. Kee or his foreman were actually present on the job site for the entire time. Last, but not least, Mr. Kee returned to our home that evening with a completed invoice...that included a discount for using Angie's List to locate him..as well as pictures of the damage he repaired and all our warranty papers. We could not be more pleased with Kee Roofing and would highly recommend them to others!!

Wonderful company and the guys who worked on our roof were very professional and friendly.. Our roof looks amazing and it took them exactly 9 hours from start to finish to totally replace our roof. Highly recommend this company. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience.

Travis Key provided excellent customer service, had a detailed proposal and delivered everything and more as promised. His crew was professional, did great work and cleaned up everthing, including any nails,(we still haven't found even one on the ground). Travis was on site for both days. It was a great experience, I feel we made a great choice in choosing Key Roofing.

They were very nice. They were a little late in arriving, a little behind what time they quoted by phone. The guy that came out checked the roof and we decided that they would call me with the estimate. I requested a copy and was told they could drop it in my mail box. I didn’t end up receiving it for a few days. I asked when they could start the job and was told a week or two. With the weather being iffy, I was worried I may have some damage during any bad weather. I was then told that if the weather was suitable, they could come out sooner. Their price was almost $600 more than what the insurance company estimated. I ended up going with another business I didn’t have to haggle with, though I’m sure that Excellent would have done a good job on the work itself.

All went very well it was pretty painless. Was nervous about the tear off with the weather we are having around here but they got the roofing done in 2 days. I really never had to worry about anything David took care of us and I do appreciate him handling everything. Everything was done to my satisfaction. The painters came a few days later and spent a couple days cleaning and chaulking and then painted house and shutters. The painters were very meticulous about there work covering up things in plastic and taping off areas. They were very good. New gutters came a couple days later and they look fantastic. I have a back porch area that I wanted to leave natural, it had a white gutter on it before they came to put new ones on. They replaced it with a brown one to match the porch. I didn't think about the color but they did, they wanted my house to look good and there attention to detail shows.

They did an overall inspection of my roof. I liked their attention to detail and their concern for my concerns. They're a very professional company. The servicemen educated me on any issues they had. Also, they took great care of my property. Kerry, the one who answered the phone, was very prompt. My request went out the same day. He seemed to be very knowledgeable. He actually cared for the customer, not to just do the job for the money. He wanted to make sure everything was done right.

Lowest of five estimates and work was done on time. Clean up was very good and I'm very happy with the roof and the entire experience. A top quality company installing the roof, using GAF, Timberline shingles. I highly recommend Excellent Roofing.

" I contacted Excellent Roofing to get an estimate on the roof of my house. He came out and measured, but never contacted me for a price. When I called him twice he said he would call back with an estimate. When I called him a third time, he hung up on me. Courtesy, professionalism -- forget it. All he had to do was say "I don't want to do your roof because ____."

Travis Kee of Kee Roofing returned my initial phone call within hours. He came by the next day, examined the the dormers and chimney, and e-mailed a written estimate that evening. I agreed to the price and work began the next week (due to weather delays). Mr. Kee and his crew arrived on time, were professional, and put in 3.5 days getting the jobs done. I was kept updated of the work progress by photos. The work areas were totally cleaned up and swept for nails. The work looks great and I would not hesitate to use Kee Roofing again.

He is great. He did an excellent job. I had put in a request on Angies List for a roofer for the house that I am living in and I have another house for rental. I had several call backs from other people that wanted to give me a quote. But apparently roofers won’t come out to give a free estimate. Any way he did come out to give me a free estimate and his price was lower. I was also been told that I needed a new roof and Kee Roofing said that I don’t need a new roof. I was very impressed with him. For the rental property he patched the hole on the roof. I don’t know how the hole got into the roof. Now I do need a new roof over there but he did patched it for me until it goes further. He was real nice. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted Excellent Roofing to get an estimate. A project manager contacted me the same day and was at my house to work up the estimate that afternoon. He answered all questions about the job from supplies and equipment to time frame for start and completion of the job. The price was the lowest of three competitive bids and I accepted the contract. The workers and supplies arrived when I was told they would. They had my roof stripped and replaced in two days. The clean up was exceptional. Parts of my back yard were better arranged when Excellent left than when they arrived. They took care to make sure items like lawn furniture, grills etc. were removed and replaced where they had been. Plants were adequately covered so as to protect them from any debris during the tear off. I would hire Excellent again to roof for me, likely without getting additional bids. I will most certainly tell friends and family to use their services without any hesitation. A+++ rating from me.

Please see above. Received an invoice on 30 December 2011. The invoice had several entries that stated: "4. Installed 6 sq GAF Timberline 30 year Weathered Wood shingles to match existing. "10. Three year warranty on workmanship."

They were a little difficult to get in touch with, but once they started the project they worked effeciently. They were respectful of our property. They cleaned up wonderfully and picked up nails out of the yard with a magnet. Their name reflects their service.

roof had been leaking for some time when i called Travis Kee. Showed up promptly for estimate and when I contracted with them, showed as soon as weather allowed. The job turned out to be more complicated then we thought, but Travis handled the problems easily.He and his crew obviously cared about the quality of their work and tried hard to make sure it looked as good as it could. The finished work looked quite nice and I will call on them again for the next phase of work. I would recommend Kee Roofing for workmanship, and honest, up-front dealings

Bottom line: Travis Kee fixes a problem the way it should be repaired the first time. Although it was more expensive than I anticipated, I had already spent that money on other attempts at repair that didn't work. I wish I had known to call him at the onset of the problem.

I called Excellent Roofing and was surprised to find that an actual person answered my phone call. They came out on a holiday weekend just before dark and just as it was beginning to rain. They located the problem and made repairs and replacement for a price that I doubt any other company would be able to match. I've dealt with a lot of service companies (electrictians, plumbers, repairmen, etc.) over the years and can say that this is one of the best I've dealt with.

The works came one evening and worked until dark then on the next day they finished. It took two days to do the inside because they went over the whole ceiling and not just the areas that were messed up.

I e-mailed Mr. Kee through Angie's list to give me an estimate on replacing this roof. He replied very promptly and we made an appointment for him to estimate the job. The appointment was kept and the roof was thoroughly examined as was some exterior wood damage around several door frames. Mr. Kee e-mailed me a written estimate for the roof repair but gave me the name of another firm to repair the damaged wood since he felt this repair might require more specialized expertise. I accepted the estimate and set another appointment to select the shingles. Mr. Kee again kept the appointment promptly and gave me information and advice to help me make the best choice but did not try to push any particular material. I made my selection and we made an appointment for the work to begin. Again, the appointment was kept promptly. The crew worked quietly and very efficiently. The entire job was done in about a day and a half and this is not a small house (57 squares). All debris was picked up and carted away. The yard was swept multiple times with a magnet. The gutters were cleaned of debris. The aluminum pipe boots were installed and painted to match the shingles. It is a beautiful job. One tire of my utility cart was flat and Mr. Kee very kindly used his air compressor to re inflate it for me. Another firm, in a different line of work, uses the motto "Careful, quick, and kind". Kee Roofing and Home Improvement could easily adopt it. I contacted the other firm Mr. Kee recommended and was delighted with them as well. Great experience all around.

They were very excellent. They lived up to their name. They did a real great job. It was an insurance claim. They were very thorough. I actually met with the owner. We sat down and talked and he showed me everything that he had. They really worked with me and the insurance on the price. He worked with the insurance company to do some other things on the roof and he redid his price. He even replaced some of the rotten wood and other companies were going to charge me extra for that. He was within the budget he told me. They did a really great job and cleaned up. They didn't make a mess. It was really well done. I didn't have to give them all the money upfront. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them. They did a really, really good job. His assistant was very, very courteous. Overall they were very, very good.
