Description of Work: He did a thorough cleaning of the fireplace, flu, and chimney. He was very careful with the tile around the fireplace and the wood floors. He cleaned up every speck of dirt/dust he dug out! Really nice people! Excellent service! Will definitely be calling them again!

Description of Work: The gentleman that came to my house was fantastic. Sorry, I can't remember his name. He was inspecting to see if I could have fires in my very small old fireplace. I had originally scheduled to have my chimney cleaned, but once he got there and saw what he was working with, he said that I could not have fires in the fireplace and that the brick work would have to be redone. He was there for about 30 minutes trying to let me know what was going on and what I could do to be able to have a wood burning fireplace. He was very patient with my questions and answered everything that I needed to know. He said that since he didn't really perform any service that there would be no charge. Which I was so surprised, especially this day and age. I still offered to give him something for his time, but he refused. I would highly recommend them, not just because he didn't charge me, but he was very professional, polite, on time and knowledgeable. Thank you for a job well done.

Description of Work: Installed full crown topping on double flue chimney; spray cleaned, re-grouted brick spaces, and sprayed sealant on entire 3 story chimney. Took a while to get it accomplished, but was due to cold temps, rain, and wind delays. They made sure chimney was dry enough to do the job rather than rushing work. Always called ahead to confirm work dates or changes when needed. Very pleased!

Description of Work: They did an inspection on my Fireplaces for the VA and the service was great. We are going to use them again to put a piece on the Fireplace so the heat will go out into the room instead of going up onto the mantle causing the TV and equipment to get hot.

Description of Work: Steve and his helper came to inspect my condo fireplace and discovered my problem, a separation in the chimney pipe. They scheduled the repair, returned with parts, repaired the chimney, picked up/cleaned behind themselves, gave me a working fireplace again. I was very pleased.

Description of Work: When we bought our house, it had a heavy iron Fischer stove inserted into the masonry fireplace. After 20 years, we wanted to get rid of it. They guys came out, on time, and performed the service we ask for. They were friendly, polite, neat, had a good sense of humor, and organized. They removed the heavy stove, without injury to our fireplace, damage to carpets, damage to entryway tiles, or any damage to our property. They also loaded it onto my uncle's truck so he could take it to his house. Once the stove was removed, they discovered our damper flapper was missing. It's an older house, and not a pre-fab fireplace, so it was an odd size. They offered to check to see if they could get one for us. Good thing they did because after they left, we tried to find one online, and couldn't. They returned shortly with one they found, and installed it very quickly for us. Very pleased, will use again, will recommend!

Description of Work: I was very impressed with Paulette when I called for an estimate and appointment to have our chimney inspected and cleaned. She patiently listened to my description of the problems we recently had with a squirrel temporarily trapped inside the fireplace and most recently a bird actually living inside the fireplace. To my knowledge, the fireplace has never been cleaned since the house was built approximately 25 years ago and did not have a chimney cap . The team showed up promptly and did a very professional job and explained everything they would do and answered all my questions as the work progressed. However, there was a problem when it came to my question about the guarantee of the chimney cap. After lengthy discussion back and forth with Paulette and the team, I was assured that she would mail me a written warranty for the chimney cap. The team's response had been that if we ever had a problem, all we had to do was call them and they "would come out and fix whatever was wrong". I feel that the written warranty should be included with each chimney cap, as Tennessee has a 7 year warranty, as stated on the warranty Paulette promptly mailed to me. The warranty issue is the only reason I am not giving The Chimney Doctor and overall rating of A. Good job otherwise!
