DAVID F MARTIN PAINTING

Mr. Martin was hired by my General Contractor to do concrete staining on my floors. He was very nice when he came out to measure the area to be stained and to do a test area on the floor. Things went downhill when his crew actually did the staining: 1. His crew used my sprayer to apply the staining with the promise that they would replace it with a new one. They didn't. They just rinsed out the one they used for staining and left it on the porch. 2. The color of the floor was nothing like the color of the test area. Mr. Martin's answer to this was that the color takes differently on different concretes. 3. The sealant they used made it so that I had to leave all the doors and windows open for 3 days and sleep in my car at night. When I told Mr. Martin about this, he said that I was probably just overly sensitive to the smell. When I did some research into the type of sealant he used, I found that it is known to cause severe headaches, nausea, etc, if exposed in an enclosed area. 4. When the floor was finished it looked nothing like the "marble look" that Mr. Martin assured me I would have. Mr. Martin refused to come see the floor when it dried, to address any complaints seriously, or to not charge me for the shoddy work of his crew.

I am impressed by Mr. David's great job in painting my house so well. We had an initial consultation on the colors we wanted for the house and Mr. David offered some great suggestions. Then, once we bought the paint, he did such a meticulous job that the house can't help but look beautiful after the paint job. Awesome, man.
