Coopertown Chimney & Wildlife Services

During the July storms, we had a tree fall on our home and did a lot of damage which opened up the access to our attic. We phoned Coopertown first thing before calling the contractors to ensure that any wildlife could not get into the attic. They immediately came out and made a plan to prevent any wildlife from coming inside the home and eradicate any possibility of them entering or staying in the attic. Alex Anderson, Certified Lead Technician, came and worked very hard during the hot weather to do what was needed to close up and resecure our home from any wildlife. Alex was very empathetic, friendly, and professional. He then returned after the new roof and fascia boards were installed to seal and reseal any possible areas that vermin might enter the attic space. We recently had Coopertown Services out to our house to do a routine chimney sweep to get ready for this winter. We moved into the house a few years ago and had not had the inside of the chimney inspected or cleaned before now. (I figured the home inspector had inspected the inside of the chimney, but he had not - he only inspected the outside.) Coopertown was able to point out some serious safety issues inside of our chimney that were causing smoke and other gasses to leak into the house and water to leak through the chimney. We contracted them to complete all of the suggested repairs and are thoroughly impressed with their work. They covered everything in tarps and were very thorough in their cleanup. The inside of the chimney looks great now and is all sealed up from the firebox through the new top sealing damper. I highly recommend you call Coopertown for any chimney or fireplace needs.

While these guys do great quality work, are clean, and are punctual, I'm not convinced that you always "get what you pay for". These guys are astronomically over-priced versus their competition, which will often do equally good work for you. But, what really gets frustrates me about them is that they try to doom and gloom you into using them as soon as possible with a very high quote, only to offer a 10% discount off the price if you sign with them immediately. Their quotes are so high, that you could easily afford a second or third opinion from other service providers and still come out ahead from their quote. Their sales tactics are the same across all of their services lines.

They were prompt. After they left I realized they had never pulled my wood stove out. This has always been part of the cleaning for 20+ years. I never got a chance to tell them about it They did do a complete inspection of inside and out and advised me of some bricks that needed replacing.

This company's inspection process was professional, with them showing me photos of the repairs needed. The two men who completed the repairs were careful to cover our hardwood floors and completely cleaned everything before leaving and we had a fire the same night! I highly recommend Cooperstown Services, A+++!

The guy who visited my home was highly professional. The only slight negative is that since the vendor was an intense, ex-military type my wife was very glad I was home to deal with him. He was kind, thorough, and went beyond the basic inspection to help me understand exactly what was wrong with my chimney and what I should do to fix the issue.

Excellent! The young man that came to my home was GREAT.. His name was Robert and he was great, wonderful personality, respectful and just all around a great young man. Two thumbs up to his parents, because they raised a wonderful young man.

Kenny was on time, did a thorough inspection and did a great job describing what he found and the recommended repairs. The sticker price for repairs was more than I expected but that is probably because I had no reference point on what chimney repairs cost.

Great Crew, professional and prompt. Responded very well when we called them back when chimney continued to leak after repair. They spent a lot of time going through all possible issues with the chimney cap and found the problem. Fixed it no extra charge. Very good customer service during and after the job.

It was a lot more than what we expected.

Cooperstown scheduled time to perform the estimate. The supervisor was thorough; he climbed on the roof, inspected all of the gable vents, the attic vents and along the entire gutter line to assess type of animal infestation access points. He concluded I had raccoons nesting in attic. The scope of work included sealing the house and eliminating all access points, spraying a chemical in the attic to "encourage" the animals to leave. The work crew showed up on time as scheduled. They did the work as proposed. I am very happy with the quality of the workmanship. They cleaned up before leaving. They leave an "escape" hole so animals have a way to do so. The attic vents needed to be replaced which they handled without a problem. The supervisor returned at the end of the day to inspect the work crew's work. The next morning the work crew leader returned to assess whether all animals had left - they had left. Unfortunately, the raccoons chose to break through a soffit vent to escape rather than use the escape hole left by the crew the previous day. The crew leader closed the escape holes and replaced the soffit vent, no extra charge.

Wonderful work. No more leaks, and a more attractive fireplace inside and out. They clearly explained the work and were VERY neat and tidy with all aspects of the job, which took a full day. The owner came back to do some additional work at no extra cost. No pricing surprises. Emailed quote was exactly what it cost. Very professional, courteous, reliable and knowledgeable. Showed me exactly what the problems were using their chimney scope. Cleaned up inside and out afterwards.

They were thorough and detailed in their inspection and repairs, as well as follow up if I had any questions or concerns. I have already recommended them to someone else.

Great. the gentlemen doing the service were punctual. Did the job in less than the estimated time, and were professional, and extremely courteous. Cleaned up after themselves, and did some things such as trimming some overhanging trees that I didn't expect. I hope that I don't need their service again, but would hire them if I did. I expect to take advantage of their yearly maintenance contract. Nolan and Josh are keepers!
