My service is spotty at best. I need internet to conduct my business. The other day, they came out and shut off my service because it was "leaking." I understand that they have certain obligations, but no one contacted me about the issue, no one tried to schedule a time to fix it, they just shut it off. I was without internet for 3 days. I lost at least $800 worth of business over those three days and had to work at Starbucks to complete the contracts I already had. When I called to complain, they offered to credit me for the 3 days I was without service. And when I told them that was unacceptable, they told me that I should use someone else, then laughed and said "Oh, you can't. We're the only ones here." Seriously, if I had any other options I would dump them like a hot potato.

It was a very poor experience. They didn't show up on time, and didn't do the work that was promised. It was pretty bad across the board.

We are in a contract with them. Their services seem to be pretty reliable. We get digital HD television services from them.

I do not use the basic cable, I have to buy it in order to get a discount. My experience with Comcast is between an A and a B. The thing that I dislike is their discount packagin because it can be a hassle. An example of that would be in the case when I upgraded to digital even though I don't use the basic package, I needed that to get the digital equipment which I have and I have it in my closet because I really don't use the service. The only other thing I can think of which I think applies to most cable providers is that I do not like the limited time offers because you get a substantial discount for free that often traps you from the standpoint that you really don't get properly notified that it is expired and they're going to start to charge you for it. It is also very difficult to reach them on the telephone, you can wait a very long time to get help. People are not seemingly very knowledgeable or they go to exactly the same routine, this primarily applies to the internet service.

--Automated system is consistently down - it can never find my account --I have one of the top tier download speeds and insternet service crawls in and out of functionality --Most cable channels are unused music channels --If you need to call them and take care of service problems - you will want to consider taking a vacation day

The examples are endless, but I'll provide the most recent which has made me switch providers. I have business class internet service. The service is down regularly. The phone tree to get to a live person takes about 5-9 minutes each time. The last time a tech came, he replaced the modem (to increase my speed) and changed all the settings so wireless won't work. When I called to ask them to replace the modem settings exactly like they were before the tech came out, they said they could not and it would be $179.00 for a special visit from IT services. It's just unbelievable. I simply wanted the setup the SAME WAY IT WAS before the tech came. Feels like a scam to me. Long years of terribly customer support made me move every other tech service to ATT and the last item is Comcast business class internet - I'm moving. If you're a business professional who needs prompt service, collaboration with your internet service provider, please don't sign up with Comcast. It's been horrible.
Description of Work: Business Class Service in my home office. I've been a Time Warner/Comcast customer since the 90s and have suffered through extraordinary terrible customer service. I had cable and internet, but have moved cable to ATT. I am now moving high speed internet due to lack of customer support and price increases.

We really haven't had a lot of things for them to do. We go in and pay our bill.and occasionally we'll have a problem with the cable box. It's a hassle, at times, to get seen there. They just have two people there to handle stuff. There's a lot of detailed stuff they have to get from you to do the stuff. Once you get up to the window, they're pretty quick. They usually give you a new box right there. They of course have to put in the new cable box number into the system. The detailed work there requires some time but the actual replacement thing is quick. They're making a big push there to try and narrow down the window of their estimate of when they're going to be at your house. They're trying to improve that.

The visit was free. The guy that came out was very nice. Their phone customer service could use some work. Their price wasn’t too bad. I never had a problem with them.
Description of Work: I used Comcast to replace my box. My box wasn’t getting good enough signal from my cable. He went up in the attic and checked all the connections up there and outside. I have been using Comcast for almost 6 years now.

My modem signal was work. It was suggested that I buy a new router from Office Depot. I ended up going to Comcast and getting a new modem. They were real nice and efficient.

Description of Work: Comcast has provided questionable service for the last 4 days. Internet and phone land line in and out of service. I called Comcast service yesterday on my cell phone and was provided with a recorded message that the service was down for repair to a line. Service was to be up by 3pm (call was made at 11am). The next morning, quess what? No service. I called comcast again and was told the problem was resolved. I told the tech that is was not and that was why I was calling on my cell phone. She told me that they could send out a technician next Tuesday at the earliest (5 days from now) and if it is a problem with the equipment, they will not charge me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there was not one available until 1230pm. A company as large as Comcast does not have any supervisors on site for over 2 hours? REALLY????? I told the customer service rep that there had to be a supervisor somewhere in that big building! She put me on hold for approximately 30 minutes while she "looked" for a supervisor. In the meantime, my phone and internet started working. The supervisor eventually got on the phone and said she would prorate my bill for the last 4 days and they would try to send someone out before next Tuesday. I am not happy with the customer service provided by Comcast and will be looking into the reviews for AT&T and other possible providers. This is not the first time I have had problems with Comcast but I have finally reached my limit with their service.

I have problems with their services everyday. They are not working today, so I will have to go to out to use the internet. I contacted them 3 times today, but with no response – the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. The experience I have had with them is horrible. Their price is exorbitant. With regard to quality, when it works, it is okay, but the problem is consistency. If I did have a choice, I would use somebody else.
