Bartlett Garage Doors

My husband contacted BGD to get a quote. The quote was good, so I contacted the person who had texted the quote to my husband to pick out the style. It took asking for things multiple times to get a response. I dealt with it and picked out a design on 02/22/17, they were to measure my garage and order the door, which was to take 2 weeks. On 02/27/17 I texted to ask when the door would be in and when it would be installed so I could take off work - no response. Then, on 03/07/17, i sent the exact same question - no response. So, I called and left a message on 03/08/17 with no response. Finally, I sent a text on 03/09/17 stating that I had texted 2 times and left a voice mail at the office and no one had responded and was my garage door ordered because I was getting frustrated. I finally got a response back that they'd check, then was told that it would probably not be in until next Friday (3 weeks from the date I ordered) but that just so I was aware, my garage door was larger that I thought and it would be an additional $160. Now, the price increase was not the problem, no one telling me was the problem - as well as it really seemed that no one had actually ordered a door. So, I responded that I wish someone would have told me it was more. I get a response back asking if I wanted something less expensive, I replied no, that was the style I wanted, just wanted better communication. To which the person responded back 'sorry for the confusion.' I was so angry, I responded that it wasn't confusion, it was a serious lack of communication and that it was a problem. I then told them not to order my door that I would go elsewhere. The only reason I put up with the lack of communication to begin with is their price. They just lost my business and anyone who asks me about garage door service. I guess you get what you pay for - buyer beware!

My garage door wouldn't shut/ engage with the trolley after having to be manually closed during power outage. I called early Fri. about 7:30 a.m. and left voice message. Received call back about 2 hrs later ( was preparing to call another provider - since it was a Fri didn't want to wait around and have to pay extra for weekend visit or have to wait until Monday - so this was the only negative felt the return call should have been a little bit more prompt), but they did and was able to send two technicians out within a few hours. The technicians were two polite young men, and the problem was easily fixed in minutes. I was charged just the service fee (that was discounted for Angie's list customer).

Called a little before 9 a.m. and service tech was here a few minutes after 10 a.m. Taylor replaced everything within a 20 minute time-span and also provided knowledge on how long it's good for with 2/3 times a day usage. Very professional tech and did a great job!! Will definitely recommend to co-workers or family that have an issue with their garage!!!!!

Was able to get someone out same day, b/c I'd called early enough in the day. Expected both springs to be replaced, even though only one was broken, b/c when it happened a few years back, that was also the procedure for the company we used back then. What was unusual was that one of the tracking lines had gotten 'off track' and wound around wrong (b/c of the spring breaking?). Service person couldn't explain exactly why it had happened. He was nice enough, but smelled pretty strongly of cigarette smoke. Civil but not friendly in the least. Work was just a bit pricey.

We had been dealing with this minor problem for several weeks. Now we no longer have to cross our fingers that the garage will close. Arrived on time, quickly identified the problem, and resolved the issue in under an hour.

They performed excellent work. The response time to my call was suprising. They were able to get a technician out to my house within two hours. The old unit experienced an electrical short circuit failure and fire. The entire door opener system was replaced including new wiring. I'm very pleased.

Started off the new year with a TWO repair bills! LOL! Bottom line: very professional, prompt, courteous, capable, would use again in the future. Haven't done any price comparison, but so far their excellent service keeps me from doing so. Our garage door looked like it was trying to self-destruct. I really did look bad, so I called Bartlett garage door on late New Years Eve, not expecting a call back. But approximately an hour later, I got a phone call back and was able to schedule an appointment that same day, but had to cancel because of the technician's current appointment. Being the day before a holiday, I did not mind at all. She was able to schedule a new time that was convenient to my wife and I the day after new years which I thought was really good. The technician came out and VERY quickly diagnosed AND repair the problem. Done in less than an hour I'd say. Did I mention that it had really looked bad?! Very pleased. Important note: the same garage door broke for a different reason (more obvious) 1 year ago and it was the first time we used Bartlett Garage door. Great service and why we called this 2nd time. But last year, the technician told us the gear was going bad and recommended we replace it then (which we didn't due to cost) and said it could go at any time. Though we didn't change it then, and it did cost us more (because of a 2nd service call), I was really happy he had the professionalism to give us that warning, because this repair did not surprise me one bit when we were told what the problem was. Oh, the second repair bill? My cellphone. I dropped it... *sigh*

I felt much better about the door than I ever have and really give this company high praise. The garage door broke around 5:30 PM and I immediately pulled up Angie's List to find a good company. No answer when I called but Alicia returned my called in about an hour and said she could send someone out early the next morning. He arrived promptly at 8:30 AM and was finished in about an hour. Very professional and personable. I will absolutely use this company again and highly recommend to others.

I called them on Monday afternoon to confirm an appointment to have door measured. They had already sent a service tech and informed me that he would arrive shortly. He measured the door opening and gave me an estimate. I really liked the price and agreed to it. He called the shop and they said it could be installed the next day. The technicians arrived right on time and installed the door without any problems. Technicians were friendly and answered all questions. I would use them again and would highly recommend this company.
