I use this company for my pool maintenance, and recently used them for resurfacing/retiling our gunite pool. Cindy and Fred are AWESOME to work with, their pricing was fair, and quality top notch. The 10 days of after-care maintenance fell on Father’s Day weekend, and they didn’t miss a beat with taking care of them pool. They are always accommodating when we need that on-the-fly cleaning before a party, and quick to respond when there is an issue. I’d highly recommend this business for any small to large pool improvement projects!

Unfortunately, Advantage has been on a gradual but steady decline for the past couple of years. The first 3 years or so I was delighted with their service. Great techs, always did a thorough job, never had a problem. These days, I consider myself lucky if I get service of the quality that I would have considered a "bad job" when I first started using Advantage. These days, it just seems the tech does the very minimum to get in, get out, and avoid a callback. I've watched a tech spend 20 minutes on the pool, then another 30 sitting in the van on the phone before finishing out the invoice and listing the full time (Advantage does use a flat fee so this practice did not alter the cost, but definitely the quality). I'm in the process of looking for a new provider now.

Poor results. No follow up. Difficult to get them to come back. Several hundred dollars later the pool water was still green.

All went well during the initial work to identify and fix the water loss issues. A tear was found in the lining and repaired. A line pressure test was performed, too. This slowed the leak from 1/2 inch a day to 1/4 inch every two days. Advantage was contacted three times about the continued water loss, but never returned calls. Side note, when they were on site, then showed up without notice (twice). Lastly, they were polite and responsive on the phone, but the technicians on site were surly and not friendly.

I initially bought a "Big Deal" from Angie's List to utilize Advantage Pool Service in April 2014. I had just bought a house with a pool and had no idea what the different selections on my filter meant so was hoping to get educated on that because I couldn't figure out why my filter wasn't priming (it is a self-primer). This young guy named John came by and talked my ear off about all the different chemicals, what levels of PH my pool should be at...too much information. I really just wanted to figure out why my filter wasn't priming but he said he had to get approval; spent another hour waiting around and talking...watching Ben 10 with my son...then finally he said he would come back the following day. He got my filter running so was happy about that. Advantage pool tried to charge me extra for it but I refused because I considered it part of the deal and they complied. During the visit in April I asked to get an estimate on removing the diving board and replacing the sand in the filter; I left a couple messages after that and didn't hear from them. I would call back and get the excuse they were busy. At this point you would think that I would have given up on them and found another pool company but I felt like I had already invested my time in these guys and the grass isn't always greener on the other side so decided to persevere. In June 2014 I finally had them do the work, $391.22 which I thought was very reasonable. I've had them come back a few times since because the plumbing leaks. In January 2015 I had them come and close the pool. The weather was very cold and storms were coming in but they came out and took care of me which I am grateful for because that meant I didn't have to continually run my filter during the below freezing days! Overall, we had a rocky start but communication has improved and I will continue to call them for all my pool needs :)

It went very well. They were on time, they were cost effective and they're quick.

I went with a different company just due to the fact that I liked the other company's liners better. It was a good and fair quote. It's a good price. I liked them and they did a good job. They're kind of slow about getting out to me. They've got a smaller kind of company. Once they got us the quote, it was great. I feel like they're a company that doesn't try to screw me over. They give me a good price and they're no trying to price out. Their workers were all very friendly, very nice and professional. They have me a quote for probably around $10000 or maybe a little less than that. All the quotes came back the same for what we were doing.

I use them regularly and they do a great job. They are easy to deal with and if I every had an issue they have corrected it quickly. They have been good work with. In all reality, I could not tell you if their prices are better or worse than others who do the same thing, but I have just liked their service.

They opened the pool and by the end of June the pool was GREEN. After the 1st week I called to let them know the water was cloudy. Not corrected. Called again to let them know the water had not cleared up. Then 2 weeks later the water was GREEN. They made several excuses about being busy and they would get someone out there as soon as they could. Well someone would show up and throw some chemicals in the water and leave. We had not been able to really use the pool.The bill at the end of June was around $400.00. I called another company I found on Angie's List. They cleared up the water in 2 days and addressed other issues with the pump that were keeping the pool from being usable. Part of the service agreement was to wash the filters in the pump ; obviously this was never done because they would have found the problem. When I called to tell them we would not be using their service any longer, I spoke with Wally (he's supposed to be the supervisor over the pool techs), he ask if there was a problem. I had spoken to Cindy several times (I had to continually call, no one was returning my calls) and explained all the issues we were having and apparently she never passed along the information.

I needed the pool light changed. I did not hire them, b/c I found another provider who was able to offer the service earlier. I was impressed with the promptness of their call-back, the explanations Todd gave me regarding the issues that could cause the light not to work, the honesty regarding time of service.

The service people arrived when scheduled and diagnosed problem with swimming pool filter/pump. They did not have the parts with them to fix the problem but came back a few days later and replaced the motor. I didn?t need to be home for them to finish the job but was there on the initial service call and felt very comfortable with their professionalism and knowledge of the system.

Wally and his brother, Frank came to the house on Saturday after Graduation services to clean and prepare my pool for my upcoming home sale. I called and they appeared. Love I can trust my pool service company not only to help me repair items but get is ready on a minutes notice. :) Thanks for everything Advantage Pool Family!

Fred and Sean were wonderful to work with. It was quick and easy to get an appointment and they were able to squeeze us in early since we were heading on vacation. Our other company could not get us on the schedule until July. Everyone at Advantage Pool was very friendly and professional. They came to do leak detection service on our pool which runs 250 dollars. They did a full inspection before they tested the lines and found we had a small leak in the equipment room which only cost 107 dollars to repair. They were honest and saved us money when they could have gotten more out of us. I will be using them from here on out for all of our pool needs. They were very knowledgable and able to answer all of my questions in detail. They also have an A+ rating on the BBB.

It was very easy to work with Adam and his crew. They came out to give us an estimate exactly when they said they would. They were the first to give us a quote and it was hundreds of dollars less than their largest competitor. We agreed on the terms of the contract and they came right out to measure for the replacement liner. We were kept aware of the installation plans and dates throughout the entire process. When the liner arrived, they scheduled a time to come out and install it. That's when the fun began. When the old liner came out, we discovered that we had what looked to be a sand bottom, with almost no concrete left. It was very obvious that the pool bottom had to be replaced and that this work was not part of the initial liner replacement quote. We had a very reassuring conversation about the problem and what needed to be done. They provided us with a new quote to replace the bottom and we agreed to have them do the work. It turned out to be a terribly difficult job. There was enough groundwater to make it very difficult to repour a concrete base. They spent an entire day working on the liner and finally finished well after dark. Two days later, it was obvious that the groundwater affected the work and that it needed to be redone. We waited for dry weather to try again. They kept me informed of schedules and plans throughout this process. The second time, they buried a pump in the ground to remove groundwater from the concrete, knowing that the pump would be lost when the job was complete. The second bottom was much better than the first, but Advantage was still not satisfied. They came out for a third time and put some finishing touches on the concrete, basically because I was nervous. The third time was the charm. The bottom and sides look fine. Once it was clear that the bottom was good, they finished installing the new liner. Finally, they opened the pool for me. Afterwards, they made a special trip out to show me some features of my system that I didn't know about. When they were done, the pool was beautiful! If you're reading this review, you're probably trying to determine if you can trust Advantage Pool to work on your pool. You can! Our job was much much harder than anticipated when we started. They probably lost money on the job, yet worked tirelessly until we were all satisfied with the results. How you handle the tough jobs determines what kind of company you are and they delivered far above and beyond the call of duty. This is exactly the kind of service you hope for when you hire a company. They can obviously do the work and won't be satisfied until you are satisfied. They will be our only pool company moving forward and I look forward to a long relationship. They will do the same for your job.

Overall the experience was very good. They were very informative about weatherizing the pool and how to deal with it during the winter.

My pool pump went out on Friday morning. I called Melissa at Advantage Pools. She was very friendly and responsive. By Saturday morning my pool pump was replaced and running. In the middle of their busiest season they worked me in the schedule. With summer heat and no pump my pool could have been a disaster quick. I will use Advantage Pools everytime

They were very helpful. They were easy to work with especially with me not knowing as much as I would like to know about my pool. The amount was for two separate invoices and one was done on the 9th of October and they came back for a follow up on the 12th of October. They are reasonably priced and in fact lower than the other quotes. I liked the idea that I can enquire without knowing. I feel that I can trust their response as supposed to them telling me and asking me for services or trying to sell me other products that are irrelevant. They helped me handle a problem and advised me on a need that had to have for my pool. I have expressed my need to make sure that I have budget for expenses instead of just paying for them. I had enquired if it was possible for me to delay or wait until I can fund it to pay for it and would they give me a quote that I could count on so that I could save for that particular expense. They have done that with every request, but not only that they even told me that because it was going to be in the winter season, they advised that I need not make this one particular repair that I had saved money for and was prepared to do and they said to save that money or use it in whatever other way, but that repair would not be necessary until spring. They would advise not doing it until the spring so I would have a full warranty well using the pool instead of wasting the warranty in the months that I wouldn't be using the pool. I would never have thought about the warranty on equipment running out during the period of time I don't need it, but it would have ran out before I actually would use my pool again if something was faulty with the part. I liked that and I think they were more customer service oriented.
