 + -1 moreIt's all good. They were fine. Their price is probably pretty standard across the board. They cost what they cost. It's a good system, very quiet. We're happy with them. It took them maybe a half a day or something, maybe longer, to install the unit. For clean-up, it was fine. They did a very good job.

 + -1 moreCrew was professional, showed up when they said they would, and were very neat, cleaning up at the end of each day. They noted slight cosmetic damage to the exterior of the new condenser unit after unboxing, and returned for a new unit. They added in new air returns per the pre-estimate consulation. They were one of the few contractors to note the need for additional return air. The new system is now very quiet and runs very smoothly compared to the old system. You can actually carry on a conversation next to the furnace and in every room. My only complaint might be that Absolute had one of the higher quotes I received. They were also the most professional during consult, which is why I chose them.
Description of Work: Hired to replace a 30 year old HVAC (heating and cooling) system with a new high efficiency Carrier system. Crew tore out old system and installed a 17 Seer multistage AC with multispeed blower and 80% efficient heater, citing attic installation issues precluding a higher efficiency condensing furnace (something nearly every contractor told me). Installed a new (proprietary) Carrier thermostat system with external temp and humidity control.

They had to remove the child safety gates on the top and bottom of our stairway to allow them to get the equipment upstairs, and they replaced them when they were done (not an easy task and they easily could have said they couldn't do that). Office staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
Description of Work: The company replaced our downstairs air conditioning unit, adjusted dampners and added an air return as we did not have sufficient return in the house. They also replaced the thermostats on both the downstairs and upstairs units. Gave us advice on the types of filters we should use in the furnace.
