BEWARE! We were quoted a week's worth of work and a portion due at signing and the rest to be paid when the job was completed. A week turned into two months because they showed up 1-2 days a week and spent half of that time on smoke breaks. David constantly begged for cash advances, despite the contract. The work they did was sloppy and we had to keep behind them every step of the way because they missed so much. They finished all of the painting and said they couldn't do any more unless they got the rest of the money. We(stupidly) paid him (money was in a repair escrow - somehow he convinced the realtor to release the entire escrow and that he would give me the remainder after what he was owed, which he stole. $300 that he just deposited into his account and will not return). They then proceeded to put down terrible looking $1 ser sqft flooring when we had agreed to matching flooring at $3 per sqft. My realtor had a contract with David to do some minor repairs in the house. He began them (damaging our tub and causing a water leak that ruined the downstairs ceiling) and then he just took off. Later I found out that he told her that the work was complete and she paid him $700. He has been unresponsive since and we are now going to have to bring him to small claims to try to recoup the cost of damages to our house. So all together he has stolen over $1000 from myself and my agent, and if you include the cost to pull up and replace the horrible looking flooring he put down, he has caused thousands in damages to my house. Do not use this contractor!
