Everything went ok. He had had previously done the driveway and I wasn't satisfied with it. It took him about 2 months, but he did come back out and repair the work.

I had called him to come out and give me an estimate for a new asphalt driveway. I told him I wanted it to be wider and an additional part added on. He came by everyday for about a week. One afternoon he drove my husband around and showed him other driveway jobs he had completed. He told my husband that he would tear up our old driveway and pour a product on the area to prevent grass from growing through. Terry had told me that he buys the asphalt in bulk and the longer we wait on making our descision to have him do the job the more expensive it would be because of gas prices, etc. We decided to sign a contract with Terry to do the job. The same day that we signed the contract, I found out my neighbor poured concrete for a living. I told my husband to call Mr. Harmon to hold off on the job because I wanted to check out what my neighbors prices were. Terry said that it would be a 20% cancellation fee. My neighbors quote for a concrete job was $5700.00 even before tearing up the old driveway and hauling off. I told my husband to call Terry and give him the go ahead. Monday morning Terry showed up with his crew. We decided to go ahead with our normal day and go to work. When I showed up after work, Mr. Harmon asked for the check because he needed to go to another job. We gave him the check and while he was waiting for the truck the crew was packing up for the day. I told Mr. Harmon that there was no way they could be done because the driveway was crooked and unlevel. Terry told us to tell the foreman. The foreman went and got some asphalt (cold and packed) and slapped it down. It was not even blending properly. I told the foreman it didn't look right and he drained it up a little and padded it down. He shook his head and said that was the best he could do. The crew left. I was so upset. My husband came home and was beside himself when he saw the driveway. He called Harmon several times that night and he finally came back over. We told him that we would stop payment on the check because of the shoddy work. We told him we wanted it done right. He did return the check and he asked us if we could at least pay for the extra asphalt and we declined. He said that he couldn't do anything with it for at least 3 weeks because it needed to settle.We told him we would not pay him until it was done. After he left he called and said that he would be back the following Monday. He came back with a different crew and I showed the foreman that I told him I wanted my house to look like the driveways Mr. Harmon had showed my husband. I said I wanted them to treat my house like it was a million dollar home and showed them the areas I wanted thicker and level. They agreed to do the job the way we wanted it done without tearing up the old. They laid even more asphalt on top of it. It did look better, but now our driveway is so high, our daughters car bottoms out. We didn't realize this until we could drive it. We paid them already. We ended up havign to build up the land around the driveway because if your car went off the driveway it would ruin the car. About a month after the driveway was poured the second time, grass started popping up through the asphalt. The asphalt bubbles up and more and more grass is growing. The top part of our driveway toward the house is cracking, rocks are popping off of it. It is real rocky because there is no sealant. I have had 2 people stop and want to seal our driveway. It is not even 6 months old. He did come out and sprayed 3 times because of the grass popping up. On the 3rd time he said that he would not come back out. I told him I would contact the BBB and he said, "If you want to play dirty that's fine." He said he would call the post office on us because my husband and I work for the post office. The letter we received from the BBB resulted in Mr. Harmon slandering us. In response to the letter he lied to the BBB make him sound better.
